In general, devices for spontaneous drainage or suction drainage after thoracotomy include the one-bottle method with only a fluid collection part, the two-bottle method with a combination of fluid collection part and water seal part, and the two-bottle method with a combination of fluid collection part, water seal part, and A three-bottle method in which a pressure regulating section is combined is conventionally known. However, all of these were primarily intended only for drainage and liquid collection. Furthermore, the commonly used two-bottle method is mainly applied to the natural drainage method.

Although it belongs to the bottle method and is mainly used for natural drainage, it differs from conventional methods in terms of device configuration, function, and operation. In other words, by having a mechanism that precisely measures the amount of body fluid drained every unit time after thoracotomy, it becomes easier to judge whether or not to restart the chest and the degree of recovery, etc., and enables more detailed postoperative management. This is a novel body fluid evacuation device, the basic structure of which has already been disclosed in Japanese Patent Application No. 197652/1983. However, this device is mainly used for the natural drainage method and does not have a function to maintain a constant negative pressure inside the container, so its applications are limited.

That is, the present invention comprises a hard hollow container and a soft bag-like container made of plastic, and the hollow container has a body fluid collection part having a body fluid inlet at the upper part, and an opening/closing mechanism at the upper end of the liquid collection part. The pressure control part has a suction port for connection to a suction device at the upper part, and a built-in thin tube opened to the atmosphere at the upper part,
Sealed water is put inside it, and the lower part of the liquid collecting part is tapered and has a scale for measuring the amount of liquid drained, and the upper part of the liquid collecting part has a flat shape. It has a pumpable structure in which the side wall is depressed by slight negative pressure and restored by its own elasticity, and it communicates with the soft bag-like container that stores body fluid after measurement through an opening/closing mechanism. The present invention relates to a medical body fluid evacuation device characterized by the following.

It consists of a liquid collection section 2 and a pressure control section 3, and the liquid collection section 2 has a body fluid inlet 4 at its upper part, to which a body fluid introduction tube 5 is connected. It is in gas communication with the pressure control section 3 via an opening/closing mechanism 6 near the upper end. The liquid collection part 2 has a structure that is tapered at the lower part and marked with a scale so that relatively small amounts of body fluid can be accurately measured. Although the capacity of the liquid collecting section 2 is not particularly specified, it is preferably 350 c.c. or less from the viewpoint of accurately measuring the amount of body fluid discharged after surgery. Also, as can be seen from Figures 1 and 2,
The upper part of the liquid collecting part 2 has a flat shape, and its side wall dents due to slight negative pressure in conjunction with breathing movement, and then returns to its original position with its own elastic force, creating a pumping action by the return movement. It consists of the following structure, container wall thickness, and material. By having such a function, the inventors found that in clinical cases such as drainage after total pneumonectomy, (a) the capacity of the fluid collector is relatively small, and if it is kept at about 300 c.c., the respiratory movement can be reduced. The weight itself is low, reducing the burden on the thoracic cavity.

It has a communication port 9 that communicates with the air flow via an opening/closing mechanism 6, and a suction port 11 for connecting with a suction pump 10. Sterile water is poured into the water-sealing chamber 7 to a certain height and maintained at a certain negative pressure h. As an example of use, first open the opening/closing mechanism 6 under this constant negative pressure suction to maintain the system from the fluid collector 2 to the body cavity under a constant negative pressure, and then close the opening/closing mechanism 6 to maintain the system under a constant negative pressure. Natural drainage is performed as a closed system under pressure. Furthermore, after a certain period of time has elapsed, by opening the opening/closing mechanism 6, if the system pressure is higher than the set pressure, the excess pressure will be sucked out, and if the negative pressure has become stronger, air will be pumped in. It functions to balance the pressure within the thoracic cavity.

Furthermore, there is no problem in using the liquid collecting section 2 by connecting it to another pressure regulating suction device.

After measuring the amount of body fluid discharged per hour, the opening/closing mechanism 13 is opened to allow the body fluid to fall into the bag-like container 12 and stored therein. There is no problem even if the bag-shaped container 12 has a discharge mechanism 14 for discharging the stored body fluid. Further, the arrangement of the liquid collection part 2 and the bag-like container 12 does not necessarily have to be vertically in series as in the example shown in the drawings, but may be in parallel. In addition, the bag-like container 12
Although it is not necessarily bag-like and may be bottle-like, it is appropriate to use a bag-like shape as shown in the drawings from the viewpoints of structure, ease of handling, overall size, etc.

As described above, the body fluid drainage device of the present invention has a structure that can accurately measure a relatively small amount of body fluid discharged per hour, and enables more detailed treatment in terms of postoperative management and operation. In addition, since the volume of the fluid collecting part is relatively small and it communicates directly with the body cavity, the overall volume does not increase unnecessarily, the burden of respiratory movements is small, the mediastinum is stable, and healing is quick.
The pumping action in conjunction with the breathing of the fluid collection part allows fluid to be drained under a constant negative pressure, resulting in smooth drainage and little residual fluid, which can contribute to early recovery after surgery. The present invention provides a simple and novel body fluid evacuation device.
