本発明は岩綿板の製造方法の改良に関するもの
で、さらに詳述すれば岩綿板1を吸湿軟化処理し
たのち深い凹凸模様を有する金型2にて軟化した
岩綿板1をホツトプレスすることを特徴とする岩

本発明はかかる従来例の欠点に鑑みてなされた
もので、本発明の目的とするところは、岩綿板を
吸湿軟化処理したのち深い凹凸模様を有する金型
にて軟化した岩綿板をホツトプレスすることによ
り、くずを全く出さず彫りの深い岩綿板を製造す
ることができる岩綿板の製造方法を提供するにあ

以下本発明を図示実施例に従つて詳述する。岩
綿板1は硬質の平板状のもので、ロールコータ3
で塗料を塗布後、加熱装置4に岩綿板1を供給す
る。ここで岩綿板1は表面及び裏面に片面20gの
水分が塗布され、加熱される。周知のように岩綿
板は岩綿の結合材としてデンプンが用いられて形
成されているために、この吸湿軟化処理で岩綿板
1は軟化する。次ぎにこの軟化した岩綿板1を加
熱装置4の金型2にてホツトプレスする。金型2
には彫りの深い凹凸模様がそれぞれ噛み合うよう
に刻設してあり、岩綿板1はこの彫りの深い凹凸
模様に沿つて屈曲する。この場合金型2の表面温
度は150℃〜250℃である。このホツトプレス工程
で岩綿板1は再び乾燥硬化する。このようにホツ
トプレスにて成形された岩綿板1を金型2から取
出し冷却すると厚みが均一で深い彫り模様を有す
る岩綿板1が完成する。この岩綿板1は家屋の捨
て貼り天井面に敷設されるものであり、この場合
天井面と岩綿板1との間に彫りの深い密閉空気層
ができ、岩綿板1自身の保温性と共に断熱性を大

本発明は叙上のように岩綿板を吸湿軟化処理し
たのち金型にて軟化した岩綿板をホツトプレスす
るので、従来例のように厚い岩綿板を切削して彫
りの深い模様付けをするものでなく、薄い岩綿板
で深い彫りの凹凸をつけることができ、しかもホ
ツトプレスであるため切削屑が全く発生せず、歩
留が100%となるという利点があり、しかもプレ
ス加工であるため加工速度が切削加工と違い非常
に速いという利点を有するものである。また深い
凹凸模様を有する金型にて軟化した岩綿板をホツ
トプレスするのであるから、深い凹凸模様を有す
る岩綿板が得られ、捨て貼り天井面にこの岩綿板
を敷設した場合密閉空気層が岩綿板と天井面との
間に形成され、天井面の断熱性が向上するという
