ーキレバー8の中間部はストラツト5の他方端部
にピン9で以て回動可能に軸支され、その内方腕
8aはブレーキシユー3の内縁に当接し、バツク
プレート1を貫通してほぼ直角方向に延びる外方
腕8bはコントロールケーブル(図示せず)等に
連結される。10はストラツト5とブレーキシユ
ー3間に張設したスプリング、11はストラツト
5とピン7間に張設したスプリングであつて、前
記スプリング10より荷重を弱く設定してある。
12はダストブーツ、13はブーツクリツプであ
る。上述から明らかな如く、ブレーキシユー2,
3の外径はリターンスプリングの作用により、一
側のブレーキシユー3がブレーキレバー8の内方
腕8aに、他側のブレーキシユー2がベルクラン
クレバー6の一方腕6aに夫々当接し、かつブレ
ーキレバー8の外方腕8bの退動方向への動きを
支持することにより決められる。本発明に係わる
該支持装置を説明すると、バツクプレート1裏面
には固定部材である全体として略々L字状の案内
部材14が固着され、その起立片14aにはブレ
ーキレバー8を案内する案内溝14bが形成して
ある。又、案内溝14b部から切開、屈曲加工に
よつて成形した舌状部14cがブレーキレバー8
の外方腕8b端に向つてほぼ平行に適当長さ伸び
ている。然して、該舌状部14cとブレーキレバ
ー8の内縁間にはコイルばね15の一対のコイル
部15a,15a′がほぼ同一コイル中心線上に、
かつブレーキレバー8の作動方向を横切る方向に
向けて対向配置してある。従つて、常時にはこの
コイル部15a,15a′外周に前記ブレーキレバ
ー8が当接してその後退位置が規制されているも
のであるが、前記コイル部15a,15a′を互い
に離間したときにはこの間隙内にブレーキレバー
8が退動する。又、コイルばね15はその各コイ
ル部15,15′の外側から連続して延びる一方
の脚部15bと15b′が連結しており、ブレーキ
レバー8を跨ぐ状態でその外縁に掛止されると共
に、各コイル部15a,15a′の内側から連続し
て延びる他方の脚部15c,15c′の先端鉤状部
を案内部材14の開口に掛止し、以て前記コイル
部15a,15a′を互いに接近する方向に、かつ
ブレーキレバー8を退動する方向に付勢すると共
に定位置に保持する。本例のコイルばね15は単
品形状のものであるが、前記連結した一方の脚部
15b,15b′を分離して、その夫々の先端をブ
レーキレバー8に掛止し得る鉤状と成し、2個の
コイルばねにしても差し支えない。

従来公知の種々のシユー間隙手動調整型にしたブ
レーキ形式等にも適用し得ることは明らかであ
