緩を繰り返すため糸切れが生じやすくなる。これ
を防ぐため、各糸ごとに天秤を設ける方法があ
る。これは各天秤の後端に扇形又は通常の平歯車
を一体に形成し、この歯車を定位置にある駆動歯
車と選択的に噛合させて揺動させるものである。
