首振り回転方式では、2次元垂直平面にそつてト
ーチ角度を連続的に変更することが出来ない致命
的な欠点がある。

数が少ないので、ガタが生じ難く耐久性に優れ、
常に精度良くトーチの姿勢を変更することが出来
る。しかも従来の首振り回転方式と比べても、2
次元平面にそつてトーチの角度を連続的に変更す
ることが出来る効果があり、自動溶接機のトーチ
保持装置として極めて有効に活用し得る。
