The present invention relates to feed for dogs and cats, and particularly to a food supplement for dogs and cats that is provided together with food for dogs and cats. In recent years, many dogs and cats such as pet dogs, guard dogs, and hunting dogs have been kept, but in the past,
The feed for these pet dogs and cats was mainly leftover food such as leftover food. However, since such leftover food does not provide balanced nutrition, it is one of the causes of obesity and various diseases in dogs and cats. For this reason, especially for pet dogs and cats, there is a current tendency to feed them dog food and cat food with nutritional balance in mind. Dry granular types of such dog foods and the so-called moist type, in which moisture is added to such granular dog foods to make them somewhat soft, are well known. The dry granular type mentioned above is usually mixed with water or milk or given to dogs and cats as is, while the moist granular type is soft and is given to dogs and cats as is. The above-mentioned dog foods are manufactured with nutritional balance in mind and are excellent feeds for dogs and cats, but if you feed them for a long time, they will get tired of them and the dog or cat will become tired. The downside is that you won't be able to eat it anymore. In addition, in recent years, due to the diversification of the preferences of dogs and cats, many dogs and cats have no interest in traditional dog food. In other words, it is difficult for dogs and cats to be satisfied with a single flavoring, and a variety of flavors, odors, etc. are required. The present invention was created in view of this situation, and provides a semi-liquid food supplement that can be enjoyed by dogs and cats, improves digestion and absorption, and supplements nutrients by pouring it over the above-mentioned dog food, cat food, leftover food, etc. It is intended to provide something. To summarize the present invention, the food supplement for dogs and cats according to the present invention is a semi-liquid food for dogs and cats containing a raw meat decomposition extract, a sugar-amino acid reaction product, flavor substances and other extract components, inorganic salts, and a natural thickening agent. It is a supplement. According to the present invention, the main component is a decomposed meat extract, which is the most preferred raw material for dogs and cats, and is semi-fluid, so the flavor or odor can be changed by applying or mixing it with leftover food, dog food, etc. This can increase the appetite of dogs and cats. In addition, by changing the raw materials of the meat protein enzyme decomposition product extract and the sugar-amino acid reactant and their composition, the flavor and odor can be easily changed, making it easy to adapt to the diversified palatability of dogs and cats. In addition, it is possible to add balanced nutrients, so even when used with feed with unbalanced nutrition, such as food with a high amount of carbohydrates such as leftover rice, it is possible to ingest balanced nutrients. This has the advantage of making it possible. The present invention will be explained in more detail. Meat, which is the main raw material according to the present invention, can basically be of any kind. For example, it can be beef, poultry, fish, mutton, pork, etc. however,
Especially for dogs, meats such as beef, pork, and chicken are preferred.
A fragrance that is well suited to the tastes of dogs and is in accordance with the spirit of the present invention can be obtained. In addition to the meat mentioned above, fish meat is also a preferable raw material for cats. After pressurizing and steaming such raw meat in about twice the amount of water, it is hydrolyzed with proteolytic enzymes, residues are removed by filtration (other than protein), and this liquid is concentrated to about 60%. The resulting product is used as a meat proteolytic enzyme extract. This enzymatically decomposed meat protein extract is closely related to the flavoring, nutritional content, etc. of the food supplement, and is usually added in an amount of 5% to 35% based on the weight of the entire food supplement. If it is less than 5%, the seasoning will be lost,
On the other hand, if it exceeds 35%, the taste will be too strong and it will be economically disadvantageous. Sugar-amino acid reactant flavor substances are added to impart flavor to the food supplement. This flavor is preferably one that stimulates the appetite of dogs and cats, and meat-based smells such as beef, pork, and poultry seem to be particularly preferred. Dogs and cats are particularly sensitive to odors, so flavor selection is important. The sugar content of the flavor substance of the sugar-amino acid reaction product used in the present invention includes, for example, one or more of sugar, xyrose, ribose, arabinose, galactose, mantose, glucose, maltose, lactose, etc.
Amino acids include tryptophan, histidine, lysine, glycine, alanine, cysteine,
One or more types of methionine etc. can be used. The sugar-amino acid reaction is well known as the Maillard reaction, which is a reaction in which the amino group of the amino acid reacts with the hydroxyl group of the sugar to form a glycoside and condenses, resulting in a structure in which the amino group and the hydroxyl group of the sugar are condensed. Summer (Encyclopedia of Chemistry; Vol. 9, p. 84; September 1972)
Published on the 20th). This sugar-amino acid reaction product flavor is 0.5%
~8% added. If it is less than 0.5%, the odor will be insignificant, and if it exceeds 8%, the odor will be too strong and may actually reduce the appetite of dogs and cats. In addition to the meat protein enzyme decomposition extract, other extracts can also be included. Extracts other than the meat protein enzyme decomposition extract mentioned above (displayed as other extracts) include Bon-
Examples include one or more of extracts, plant protein decomposition products, and the like. This other extract content is preferably 1% to 30%. This is because if it is less than 1%, there will be a disadvantage that the taste supplementing effect will be small, while if it exceeds 30%, there will be a disadvantage that the taste presentation power of the meat extract will be reduced. This food supplement also contains salt and ash (Ca,
Inorganic salts such as alkali metals such as Mg, Na, K, alkaline earth metals, Fe, etc.) are mixed. This is mixed in when the meat protein enzymatically decomposed extract and other extracts are added. Of the above, nutrients such as salt, Ca, Fe, and P are taken into consideration,
It can also be added. In addition to these, natural sizing agents are added to adjust fluidity. Examples of the natural thickening agent to be added in the present invention include one or more of gum arabic, gum tragacanth, pectin, xanthan gum, locust bingham gum, and the like. As mentioned above, these natural glues are used together with water to adjust the fluidity of food supplements, and their viscosity is 600 to 2000 poise at room temperature (the same applies to the examples). be. 600
If it is less than 2,000 poise, the fluidity will be too high and when mixed with leftover food, dog food, or cat food, it will immediately seep into the bottom of the container. This makes it difficult to handle and difficult to handle. In addition to these, nutritional fortifiers, such as vitamins, etc. can be optionally added. Next, a method for producing a food supplement for dogs and cats according to the present invention will be explained. First, raw meat as described above is steamed under pressure and then hydrolyzed with enzymes. The hydrolyzate solution is separated and concentrated to produce an enzymatically decomposed meat protein extract. Sugar and amino acids are added to this raw meat extract, heated, and the sugar and amino acids are reacted.
After producing the amino acid reactant, one or more of natural thickeners, optionally other extracts such as beef bone extract, fortifying agents, and inorganic salts are added together with water to prepare a food supplement for dogs and cats. The aforementioned sugar-amino acid reaction product flavor substance is produced by mixing and heating sugar and amino acids.
The conditions are 90℃ ~ 120℃ 30 minutes ~ 120 minutes, preferably
Perform at 95°C to 100°C for 60 to 90 minutes. If this reaction is carried out under aerobic conditions, more desirable beef-like, fish-like, etc. aroma substances can be obtained. Examples will be described below. Example 1 100 parts of beef and 200 parts of water is 0.5Kg/m 2
After boiling under the pressure of did. This enzymatically decomposed meat protein extract consisted of about 70% water and about 30% solids. 25 parts of this meat protein enzyme decomposition extract, 10 parts of glucose (glucose) as sugar, 3 parts of amino acids,
Add and mix 27 parts of other extracts, 1.5 parts of nutritional fortifier, and 0.5 part of natural thickening agent, heat and react at 95℃ to 100℃ under aerobic conditions for 70 minutes, add water as needed, and finally It was made to become a department. (Formulation example 1). Supplementary foods with formulation examples shown in Table 1 below were also produced. In addition, in each of Formulation Example 1, Formulation Example 2, and Formulation Example 3, lysine was used as the amino acid, bone extract was used as the other extract component, vitamin E was used as the nutritional enhancer, and locust bean gum was used as the natural thickening agent. The viscosities of Formulation Example 1, Formulation Example 2, and Formulation Example 3 were 690, 630, and 610 pois, respectively. Further, the amounts of the sugar-amino acid reactants in Formulation Example 1, Formulation Example 2, and Formulation Example 3 are approximately 6% and 4.3%. It is 3%. Formulation example 1
The moisture content was approximately 72%.

[Table] The feed selectivity of dogs was investigated using Formulation Example 1 of the food supplement according to the present invention produced as described above. In other words, only commercially available dog food made using the same dog,
When the feed supplemented with about 10% of the food supplement according to the present invention was also presented to the animals, it was investigated which feed they would choose. The test was conducted on one dog of each breed.
The amount of feed given was approximately 100 g at a time, regardless of the size of the dog. The commercially available dog food used as the base was a dry type (moisture content of 10% or less). If the feed to which the food supplement of the present invention has been added is eaten first, it is considered to be palatable, and if the feed is forcibly switched to the other feed and the feed does not pay any attention, the mark ◎ indicates that the feed is eaten by the other feed. Selectivity was determined by marking ◯ if the feed continued to be fed even after switching, and by marking × if the feed did not show any particular reaction to the feed supplemented with the food supplement according to the present invention. The results were as shown in Table 2. In other words, it can be seen that the food supplements according to the present invention have excellent palatability in all dog breeds. And it was more pronounced in small dogs than in relatively large dogs.

[Table] Example 2 Next, appetite-inducing properties in dogs were investigated. In addition, in Examples 2 to 6 below, as food supplements,
The composition of Formulation Example 1 was used. Since it seems difficult to directly know a dog's appetite, we determined this by measuring the time spent eating. As the test dog, a small dog was selected from among those used in Example 1. One dog of each breed was fed the same amount of commercially available dog food (the same feed as in Example 1) and the same amount of food supplemented with the food supplement of the present invention, and the time required to finish eating was measured. . The amount fed was approximately 50 g per head, and the amount of food supplements added was the same as in Example 1. Feeding is
The experiment was conducted at 5:00 p.m. on the first day with only medical food and on the next day with food supplements added. The results were as shown in Table 3. In other words, for any breed of dog, the time required to finish eating 50g of feed is approximately 1/2 faster when fed with food supplements than when fed only dog food, and the food supplement according to the present invention It turns out that things can stimulate appetite in dogs.

[Table] Example 5 In order to find out whether the food supplement according to the present invention increases the appetite of cats, the time spent eating was measured and determined. One cat was selected from each type of cat used in Example 4, and each cat was fed the same amount of commercially available cat food (the same feed as in Example 4) and 10% of the food supplement added to it. The time required to complete was measured. The amount of food fed was approximately 20 g per animal, and the experiment was conducted with only cat food on the first day and food supplements added on the next day. Feeding time is 5:00 p.m.
And so. The results were as shown in Table 6. In other words, the time required for all cats to finish 20g of feed when fed with food supplements is significantly shorter than when fed with cat food alone, and food supplements increase the cat's appetite. I found out.

A commercially available cat food (the same feed as in Example 4) and a food supplemented with approximately 10% of the food supplement of the present invention were placed in a row at a distance of approximately 50 cm for each group (females weighing 8 kg). Approximately 10m from there
When cats were released from a distance, they investigated which food the cats would go to and eat. The results were as shown in Table 7. In other words, only if all three animals went to the feed supplemented with the food supplement of the present invention and ate it, it was determined that they had a preference. I marked it with an "X" because it doesn't attract attention, but it became clear that all cats of all species turned to and ate feed supplemented with food supplements, indicating that they had a preference for it.

[Table] Example 7 Dogs have various preferences regarding the diversification of dog feed. Among them, there are many cases where dogs do not eat the foods that they should eat due to their preferences. In particular, nutritional disorders such as diabetes in dogs have been on the rise in recent years, and dietary therapy has been attempted as a countermeasure, but it is quite difficult to switch diets. Therefore, in order to examine whether or not it is possible to easily switch feeds by using the food supplement according to the present invention, an experiment was conducted using the following method. In the test method, dog food B, which is less palatable, was prepared for dogs that regularly consumed commercially available dry dog food A, and five dogs that clearly did not eat it were used as test dogs. Feeding behavior was observed with and without the addition of the food supplement according to the present invention and was used as a criterion for judgment. The results were as shown in Table 8. In other words, looking at the table, in the control group without food supplements, none of the dogs tried to eat Dog Food B, but in the group with food supplements, all dogs tried Dog Food B, although there were differences in the way they ate. ate. Therefore, it has been found that it is possible to easily switch dog foods by using the food supplement for dogs and cats according to the present invention.
