When a decorative wood veneer is attached to the surface of a baseboard to form a flooring material, the surface of the flooring material is painted to protect and beautify the decorative wood veneer. Conventionally, paint has been applied using a roll coater such as a reverse coater, but when applying with a roll coater, the coating may be applied due to variations in the thickness of the material or irregularities on the surface of the material. There were problems in that the amount varied, color unevenness occurred, dark color appeared, and it was difficult to achieve deep coloring.

As the plate material 1, a wooden decorative veneer 6 is placed on the surface of the base plate 5.
Floor materials formed by pasting are mainly used, but other wall materials, ceiling materials, exposed boards, etc. with similar structures can also be used. When coating, the paint 8 is applied to the surface of the plate 1 by the roll coater 2 while the plate 1 is fed by the feed roll 7 as shown in the figure. A reverse coater is used as the roll coater 2, and includes a sponge roll 10 to which the paint 8 is supplied between the top and the paint reservoir roll 9, and a stay that is rotationally driven in the opposite direction to the feeding direction of the plate material 1, that is, in the reverse direction. First, the paint 8 is applied to the surface of the board 5 by the sponge roll 10, and then the paint 8 is rubbed onto the surface of the board 5 by the stay roll 11. The surface of the paint 8 is smoothed out. 12 is a doctor blade. In front of this roll coater 2 (in the feeding direction of the member 5), there is a conveyor 13 and a conveyor 13.
A brush tool 3 is provided above the brush.
The brush tool 3 is composed of a vertical rotating shaft 14, a substrate 15 attached to the tip of the rotating shaft 14, and a brush 16 with bristles on the bottom surface of the substrate 15. The fibers of the brush 16 have a diameter of 50 mm. micron to 1mm
It is better to use one. Brush tool 3
A plurality of brushes 3 are used which rotate in different ways, and the brushes 3 are arranged so that the surface of the plate material 1 is acted upon over the entire length in the width direction. The plate material 1 coated with the paint 8 by the roll coater 2 is passed under the horizontally rotating brush tool 3 on the conveyor 13. The paint-applied surface of the board material 1 is rubbed, and the paint 8 on the surface of the board material 1 is smoothed to a uniform thickness. Here, since the brush tool 3 is horizontally rotated, the brush 16
The fibers on the outer periphery of the brush 16 are subjected to a larger centrifugal force than the fibers on the inner part, so in order for the brush 16 to act uniformly on the surface of the board 1, the fibers on the outer periphery of the brush 16 must have a diameter greater than that of the inner part. It is better to use one with a large value. Further, the rotation speed of the brush tool 3 is arbitrarily adjusted in the range of about 0 to 500 rotations/min depending on the feed speed of the plate material 1, the rotation speed of the stay roll 11 of the roll coater 1, etc. Therefore, it can correspond to a wide range of color densities of the paint 8.

In the above-mentioned flooring materials, thick veneer is mainly attached to the surface of the baseboard, but when coloring this thick veneer using chemicals, it is recommended to do it as follows. . In other words, when wood is colored chemically using color-forming reactive groups (chromophores) in wood, for example by treating it with chemicals such as alkaline solutions, the fibers in the wood are destroyed. Colored veneers are more likely to chip or crack during drying and processing, and also suffer from greater shrinkage during drying than untreated veneers. On the other hand, when a veneer is treated at a high temperature with an aqueous solution of an amine plasticizer, the veneer becomes plasticized, and chipping and cracking of the veneer can be reduced, as well as shrinkage of the veneer when drying can be reduced. Therefore, the PH of an aqueous solution of an amine plasticizer is adjusted with ammonia etc. to make it more alkaline, and the veneer is immersed in this solution for treatment, giving the veneer a brownish color. be able to. In this way,
Because it is a chemical coloring method, it is possible to color the inside of the veneer more uniformly than with dyes or pigments, and it is also possible to reduce discoloration and fading than with dyes or pigments. As a result, the occurrence of chips and cracks in the veneer can be reduced, and shrinkage can be kept to a minimum. Here, as the amine plasticizer, Calamine F-1 manufactured by Ohshika Shinko Co., Ltd. can be used. Coloramine F-1 is usually used in a neutral to slightly alkaline state, but as mentioned above, it is used after raising the pH to 7.6 or higher with ammonia or the like. In order for the veneer to develop color, it is necessary to have a pH of 7.6 or higher.
The stronger the alkalinity, the darker the color develops. However, even if the pH is increased to 9.5 or higher, the color will not deepen any further, and the alkalinity will become too high, which will have a strong effect on the wood, which is undesirable.

Furthermore, coloring and unevenness can be applied to a thick veneer at the same time simply by the following procedure. In other words, when the surface of a veneer or the surface of a veneer attached to a base plate is exposed to a flame such as a burner with a contact temperature of about 800 to 1000 degrees Celsius, the surface of the veneer will carbonize and turn brown to black. . At this time, since the spring wood part of the wood has a coarser and softer structure than the autumn wood part, the spring wood part is carbonized earlier or more deeply than the autumn wood part. Therefore, by adjusting the flame treatment time and flame temperature, it is possible to carbonize only the spring wood or even the autumn wood, or after carbonizing the spring wood, veneer can be removed using a metal brush or the like. By grinding the surface of the veneer, only the surface of the carbonized spring material can be ground, and unevenness can be imparted to the surface of the veneer. Note that this method can be applied not only to veneers but also to bare wood.

As described above, in the present invention, the paint applied by the roll coater can be uniformly applied to the surface of the board material by brushing with the brush tool,
It is possible to paint the surface of a board without causing color unevenness. In addition, the paint is applied to the board by using a brush tool that includes a brush in which the diameter of the fibers in the outer peripheral part is larger than the diameter of the fibers in the inner part, and this is driven to rotate in a plane parallel to the surface of the board. Since the surface is brushed, when the brush tool is rotated, a larger centrifugal force acts on the outer periphery of the brush than on the inner part. Deformation that spreads outward is suppressed, and the brush action of the outer peripheral fibers and the inner fibers can be made uniform, and the brushing tool can be highly effective in leveling the paint.
