For example, when a retreaded tire is manufactured by scraping off the worn tread surface layer of a used tire with a buffing machine or the like, then wrapping it with a rubber sheet and vulcanizing it, a large amount of rubber particles are produced as a secondary product. Conventionally, the scraped rubber pieces are disposed of and incinerated.

A method is desired.

The method for producing granular products mainly composed of rubber pieces according to the present invention involves dissolving polystyrene resin in a solvent to prepare a resin solution, and adding 100 to 100 parts of rubber pieces to 100 parts by weight of resin in the resin solution. After adding and mixing 800 parts by weight, the solvent is evaporated to obtain granules in which a layer of polystyrene resin is adhered around rubber pieces.
以下に本発明の詳細を説明する。 The details of the present invention will be explained below.

However, since the solvent used at this time must be removed later, it is desirable to use a nonflammable organic solvent with a low boiling point, such as methylene chloride. Further, as the polystyrene resin to be dissolved in the above-mentioned solvent, in addition to polystyrene powder or pellets, waste materials such as expanded polystyrene products and styrene resin moldings can be used.

From the viewpoint of workability, it is desirable that the resin content be about 10 to 70 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight.

したときの強度が弱くなるからである。 The reason why the mixed amount of rubber pieces was set to 100 to 800 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin contained in the polystyrene resin solution is because if it is less than 100 parts by weight, the properties of the rubber will become thin, and if the amount is less than 100 parts by weight, This is because if the amount exceeds 50%, the moldability of the resulting granules decreases and the strength when formed into a molded product becomes weak.

ため取扱いが容易である。 After mixing the rubber strips and the polystyrene solution as described above, the solvent is removed from the mixture by any suitable method. As a method for removing the solvent, a method of stirring with a kneader, mixer, etc. to evaporate the solvent may be used. At this time, if the volatilized solvent is recovered by a solvent recovery device, it is economical and environmental pollution can be prevented. By removing the solvent in this manner, smooth granules without stickiness can be obtained. This granular material is easy to handle because it has a structure in which the core is a piece of rubber mixed in a resin solution, and a layer of polystyrene resin is attached to the outside of the core.

Due to the above-mentioned structure in which the outer periphery of the rubber strip is covered with a polystyrene resin layer, various inorganic molded products can be manufactured using the same molding method as ordinary polystyrene resin, even though the rubber strip is the main component. Therefore, the rubber strip granules obtained by the present invention are suitable for obtaining various industrial material products such as building materials and electrical insulation boards.

As a result, granules with polystyrene resin attached around the rubber pieces were obtained.
