小型の鉢植である限りは手入れもし易いが、例え
ば、ゴム類等の如く大型になる程手入れが困難と
なり、専門家の手に委ねざるを得ないという欠点
があつた。これは、単に移動が困難というのみで
はなく、鉢の中に張り過ぎた根を適度に切断し、
土壌を取り換えるという作業を屋内で行う事自体
が困難であることによる。このような困難性のた
めに、せつかくの樹木が枯れることが多く、特に
一般家庭においては、大型の観葉植物を楽しむと
いう事には、躊躇が有つた。

る悪影響を取り除き、鉢内植物の寿命を延ばすこ
とができる。
