(Industrial Application Field) The present invention is based on deodorizing polyvinyl chloride (hereinafter referred to as PVC).
The present invention relates to sheet materials, and more specifically to deodorizing PVC sheet materials useful as wall covering materials and various surface materials. (Prior art) Conventionally, PVC sheet materials are made by applying PVC paste resin to the surface of paper, woven fabric, metal, etc., gelling it, and then surface-treating it as necessary.
It is widely used as wall covering material and surface material of various articles under the names of wallpaper and laser. Also, foamed PVC made by containing a foaming agent in PVC paste resin.
Sheet materials are also widely used. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) PVC sheet materials such as those described above are widely used as wall covering materials, floor materials, exterior materials for houses, interior materials for automobiles, etc. In such places, it is desired to absorb the bad odors generated or accumulated. For example, by using PVC sheet material that can absorb bad odors in toilets, cars, etc.
It can be expected that these places will always be kept in a comfortable condition free of bad odors. (Function) As a result of intensive research in order to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, the present inventor discovered that when manufacturing PVC sheet materials using PVC paste resin, PVC
The present invention was completed after discovering that a PVC sheet material with excellent deodorizing properties could be obtained by incorporating a specific deodorizing component into paste resin. (Means for Solving the Problems) That is, the present invention provides a deodorizing polyvinyl chloride paste resin which is obtained by coating a polyvinyl chloride paste resin containing a deodorizing component on a substrate, then gelling it, and further surface-treating it as necessary. The present invention is a deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material, characterized in that the deodorizing component is trimellitic acid. (Preferred Embodiment) Next, to explain the present invention in more detail, the PVC paste resin used in the present invention is prepared by suspension polymerization in a suitable liquid plasticizer.
It contains both a suspension of PVC particles and an organosol containing a solvent. Other necessary components such as stabilizers, fillers, gelling agents, foaming agents, and coloring agents are optionally included. Such PVC paste resin itself has been widely used in the past, and various grades are available on the market, and any of them can be used in the present invention. The deodorizing component used in the present invention and which mainly characterizes the present invention is trimellitic acid. In general, organic carboxylic acids have carbonyl groups with strong chemical reactivity, so they react with odorous substances such as sulfur compounds, mercaptans, amines, aldehydes, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, exhibiting a deodorizing effect. Such organic carboxylic acids can be broadly divided into aliphatic polycarboxylic acids and aromatic polycarboxylic acids, but among these, aromatic carboxylic acids that are less likely to volatilize even after gelling are preferably used in the present invention. It is trimellitic acid, which is a tripolycarboxylic powder of the family. The amount of trimellitic acid used as described above is preferably 0.1 to 20% by weight in the PVC paste resin. If the amount used is less than 0.1% by weight, the deodorizing effect will be insufficient, and if the amount used exceeds 20% by weight, the effect will not increase any further, which is uneconomical. The deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material of the present invention is
PVC containing trimellitic acid, a deodorizing ingredient
Using paste resin, apply it to the surface of any base material such as paper, woven fabric, non-woven fabric, metal, wood, etc. to a thickness of about 0.05 to 2.0 mm, and apply it to a thickness of about 0.05 to 2.0 mm. It is obtained by gelation by heating at a temperature of 140 to 230°C for about 0.5 to 2 minutes. In the above process, a foamed deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material can be obtained by incorporating an appropriate foaming agent into the PVC paste resin in advance. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the surface of the deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material of the present invention formed as described above can be subjected to various surface treatments, such as embossing, printing, formation of a surface layer, etc. . (Effects of the Invention) The deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material of the present invention obtained as described above contains a relatively large amount of trimellitic acid, which is a deodorizing component, in the sheet, and therefore has a basic malodor. Because it has the property of absorbing components such as ammonia-based malodorous components, it is very useful as a surface agent for wall coverings, flooring materials, decorative materials, etc. in places where malodors occur or accumulate. Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples. Note that parts and percentages in the text are based on weight. Example 1 50 parts of PVC paste resin (Sumirit PXN, manufactured by Sumitomo Chemical), 20 parts of dioctyl phthalate, 4 parts of lactic acid ester plasticizer (manufactured by CLP Daihachi Chemical), 1 part of cadmium-barium stabilizer, 20 parts of calcium carbonate , 5 parts of zinc oxide, and 20 parts of finely ground trimellitic acid were thoroughly mixed to prepare a plastisol. Apply this to the surface of flame retardant paper to a thickness of 0.2 mm,
Gelation was performed at 140°C for 60 seconds. Next, the surface thereof was subjected to printing and embossing to obtain a deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material of the present invention. The deodorizing polyvinyl chloride sheet material of the present invention described above was cut into 50 mm x 200 mm, two sheets were glued back to back so that the back side would not be affected, and this was placed in a 300 ml Erlenmeyer flask, and further, 28% ammonia was added. water 10μ
was injected into the tank, and the tank was sealed to completely gasify the ammonia. When ammonia gas was measured over time at 25°C using a Kitagawa gas detection tube, the following deodorizing effect was obtained.
