-Prior Art- As is well known, most of the water droplets adhering to the surface of the door glass 1 of an automobile door as shown in FIG. 1 flow down along the door glass 1. The water flowing down near the portion 2a passes through the glass run 3 fitted to the sash 2a and enters the inside of the door panel 4. On the other hand, in recent automobile doors, in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle body or to eliminate interference with the door lock 7 as a mechanical part inside the door, the rear side part 2a of the sash is located inside the door panel 4 as shown in the second figure. The lower end 3a of the glass run 3 is also terminated at a position near the outside handle 5 of the sash, and the lower end 3a of the glass run 3 is also terminated in a state slightly protruding from the rear side part 2a of the sash. It is supported by a vibration damping member.

By the way, the lower end 3a of the conventional glass run 3
has an end shape in which the glass run 3 is cut horizontally in the transverse direction, so that water flowing down the glass run 3 into the door panel 4 forms irregular water droplets from the substantially horizontal lower end surface 6 of the glass run 3. A door lock 7 is located near the rear side portion 2a of the sash, and the water droplets scattered from the lower end surface 6 of the glass run 3 hang on the door lock 7. For this reason, conventionally,
Although the rotating part of the door lock 7 is subjected to strict anti-corrosion treatment or grease is applied to the same part,
If raindrops etc. adhere to the door lock 7, electrolytic corrosion will occur or grease will flow out, so a sufficient rust prevention effect cannot be expected. In addition, in cold regions, water on the door lock may freeze and cause the door lock to become damaged. There was a fear that it would cause malfunction.

-Structure of the Invention- In order to achieve this object, the present invention is designed to fit into a sash, and is formed into a U-shaped cross section from the bottom and both side walls, and is directed inwardly and to the bottom using both opening edges of the side walls as bases. In the past, the glass run of an automobile door used both diagonally extending seal lips to support the edge of the door glass. from the lower end of the tip of one sealing lip so that the lower end of the tip toward the run bottom is located higher than the lower end of the base of the other sealing lip.
A downward slope is provided on one side, passing through the lower end of the U-shaped cross section consisting of the lower end of one side wall, the lower end of the bottom, and the lower end of the other side wall, and ending at the lower end of the base of the other seal lip. Since the lower end of the base is the lowest point of the lower end of the glass run, water droplets traveling through the glass run can be transmitted through one seal lip or the bottom.
At the lower end of the glass run, it is deflected towards the lower end of the base of the other sealing lip and drips.

To be more specific, the inclined portion is inclined in the same direction from the lower end of one seal lip to the lower end of the U-shaped cross section consisting of one side wall and bottom portion and the other side wall, when the glass run is in an expanded state. In addition, since the lower end of the other seal lip is provided to intersect with the above-mentioned inclination direction, water droplets traveling along the glass run, and water droplets traveling down the other seal lip, are reliably connected to the base of the other seal lip at the lower end of the glass run. It is deflected towards the lower end of the container and drips.

FIG. 3 is an enlarged view corresponding to FIG. 2 of an automobile door according to the present invention, and the same structural parts as in FIG. 2 are designated by the same reference numerals as in FIG. 2. The glass run 3 of this embodiment fits into the sash 2 as in the conventional case, and also has a bottom portion 3f and both outer and inner side walls 3.
e and 3g to form a U-shaped cross section, and both side walls 3
The edge of the door glass 1 is supported by both outer and inner seal lips 3b and 3c, which extend diagonally inward and toward the bottom 3f using the opening edges 3h and 3i of the openings 3h and 3g as bases. and,
The feature of this embodiment lies in the lower end 3a of the glass run 3, which is the side far from the door lock 7 and is cut obliquely by sharpening the outer lip 3b side of the two seal lips 3b, 3c. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the sloped portion 8 at the lower end of the glass run 3 develops a U-shaped cross-section and an inner lip 3c consisting of an outer side wall 3e, a bottom portion 3f, and an inner side wall 3g, and develops an inner lip 3c. 3b is obtained by cutting diagonally in the range of about 40 to 45 degrees with respect to the transverse direction in the folded state.
The inclined portion 8 extends from the lower end of the inner lip 3c to the inner side wall 3g and the bottom portion 3 when the U-shaped cross section including the outer lip 3b and the inner lip 3c are expanded.
The outer lip 3b is provided so as to be inclined in the same direction towards the lower end of the U-shaped cross-section formed by the outer lip 3b, and the inclined part 8' at the lower end of the outer lip 3b is provided to intersect with the direction of inclination of the inclined part 8. It will be done. In addition, in FIG. 4, the two-dot chain line is the cross-sectional shape before deployment, that is, when fitted into the sash 2.

Since the illustrated embodiment has the above structure,
Most of the water droplets adhering to the door glass 1 are transmitted through the outer lip 3b of the glass run 3 to the door panel 4.
Water flowing into the glass run 3 and flowing down through other parts of the glass run 3 is also deflected toward the base of the outer lip 3b along the slope 8 at the lower end of the glass run 3. All of the water that has reached the door lock 7 as shown in Figure 3.
Concentrate on the farthest position (front side) and drip directly below. In this case, when viewed from directly above, the door lock 7 is located at the rear of the glass run 3 and the sash 2, and the rod 9 that connects the outside handle 5 and the door lock 7 is in approximately the same horizontal plane as the lower end 3a of the glass run 3. In order to go around the outside side of the glass run 3,
The water that flows down does not come into contact with the door lock 7, and the water flows down at a position away from the rod that connects the door lock 7 and the inside handle (not shown), so water splashes on this rod and causes damage to the inside handle, etc. There is no fear that it will be transmitted to In addition, since the inner lip 3c is unfolded and cut diagonally as shown in Fig. 4, when it is assembled to the sash 2, the bottom part 3 of the inner lip 3c is cut as shown in Fig. 3.
Lower end 3d of inner lip 3c so that the lower end of the tip facing f is located higher than the lower end of the U-shaped cross section.
forms a descending line of water droplets that connects to the lower end of the U-shaped cross section, and prevents the creation of an acute angle at the lower end of the inner lip 3c that would be formed if the inner lip 3c is cut diagonally without being expanded. In addition, as shown in FIG. 3, if the lower end of the sash 2 is also formed into an inclined surface 2b such that the open side of the U-shaped cross section extends downward, the sash 2 will descend vertically along the outer surface of the sash 2 and will be transmitted to the glass run 3. Even if there are water droplets that fall directly into the door without falling, water splashing on the door lock 7 can be more reliably prevented. In addition, when forming the lower end of the sash 2 obliquely in this way, unlike the illustration, it may be a spiral inclined surface that extends sequentially downward from one open end to the other open end.

-Effects of the Invention- As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, water droplets flowing down the glass run can be prevented from dripping from a predetermined part of the glass run and being applied to the mechanical components inside the door. Therefore, it is possible to prevent rusting and freezing of internal door mechanical parts such as door locks, and eliminate the possibility of malfunction of door internal mechanical parts such as door locks even when used during long periods of bad weather.
