Conventional technology Conventionally, polyvinyl chloride-coated steel plates (hereinafter referred to as PVC steel plates) have been widely used, for example, in waterproofing the roofs and outer walls of buildings, but PVC steel plates have a predetermined size for convenience of manufacturing. Objects are joined together with their joining side edges overlapping each other, and the conventional method for joining such PVC steel sheets is to provide a gap at the joining side edge of the PVC steel sheets, so-called a gap. Mechanical joining methods such as jointing with seams or rivets, joining methods using welding such as high frequency welding or stud welding, and joining methods using adhesives are used. Ta. Among the conventional joining methods mentioned above, the first two mechanical joining methods and joining methods by welding do not provide sufficient watertightness and require the use of special joining equipment, resulting in high costs. There was a problem. On the other hand, the adhesive bonding method does not require any special equipment and can be used to bond PVC steel plates with relatively simple work, and has the advantage of providing sufficient watertightness. Widely used. However, according to this bonding method using adhesive, it takes a long time for the adhesive to harden, so especially when the base material of the PVC steel plate is thick, the two PVC The bonding side edges of the steel plates could not be made to adhere tightly with the adhesive against the undulations (irregularities) and warping of the PVC steel plates, and the bonded portions sometimes floated and peeled off. In addition, if the edges of the PVC steel plates to be joined are strongly pressed from above in order to obtain strong adhesive force, the adhesive may ooze out from the edges of the bonding side to the surface of one PVC steel plate or the surface of the other PVC steel plate. The adhesive solution may damage the appearance of the PVC steel sheets, or erode the insulation or other materials placed under the PVC steel sheets. There was a problem with the trouble of having to make careful adjustments across the board.

Composition of the Invention In order to achieve the above object, the present invention overlaps the joining side edges of the first and second thin sheets to be joined to each other, and when joining both sheets, one of the thin sheets 1. Attach a required length of double-sided adhesive tape to the edge of the joining side of the thin sheet, form an uncured adhesive layer on the area other than the area where the adhesive tape is pasted, and then join the other second thin sheet. The side edge portion is overlapped with the joining side edge portion of the first sheet, and both are temporarily fixed via an adhesive tape, and are brought into close contact via an uncured adhesive layer,
By curing the adhesive layer in this state,
The gist is a method for joining thin sheets, which is characterized by joining both sheets together.

Double-sided adhesive tape is made of paper, cloth, synthetic resin film, or the like as a core material, and adhesive is applied to both sides of the core material. Acrylic rubber-based, natural rubber-based and isobutylene-based adhesive tapes are known as adhesive tapes, but it is preferable to use isobutylene-based adhesive tapes in terms of water resistance, heat resistance, and elasticity. The adhesive tape usually has a width narrower than the width of the bonding side edges of the two thin sheets stacked on top of each other, and is applied over the entire length or partially of the bonding side edges.
The width of the adhesive tape can be selected as appropriate to provide sufficient adhesive strength depending on the undulations and warping of the thin sheet, but when economical considerations are also taken into consideration, it is usually
It is preferable to set it to 50 mm.

The thickness of the adhesive tape is 0.1 to 1.0 mm, preferably 0.3 to 0.6 mm. Here, if the thickness of the adhesive tape is less than 0.1 mm, the thickness of the adhesive layer will be correspondingly thinner, and the adhesive will protrude, or the adhesive strength of the adhesive will be weak, which is not preferable. . In addition, if the thickness of the adhesive tape exceeds 1.0 mm, the gap between the joining side edges of the thin sheets stacked on top of each other will become too large, so if the adhesive tape is applied in a normal amount, the joining side edges will not be covered with adhesive. In this case, it is not economical to increase the amount of adhesive applied.

In order to completely prevent the adhesive from overflowing to the back side, it is preferable to apply the adhesive tape along the edge of the joining side of the first thin sheet; In order to completely prevent this, it is preferable to apply the adhesive tape along the inner edge of the joining side edge of the sheet, that is, along the edge of the joining side edge of the second thin sheet. Of course, the adhesive tape may be attached to the middle part of the joining side edge. This is because by interposing such double-sided adhesive tape, a gap equivalent to the thickness of the adhesive tape is secured between the joining side edges of both sheets, so the amount of adhesive applied can be reduced. By adjusting the adhesive tape appropriately, it is possible to almost prevent the adhesive from extruding, and even if a large pressing force is applied to the edges of both joining sides during joining, the presence of the adhesive tape ensures that the edges of the joining sides are not directly connected to each other. Therefore, there is no need to carefully adjust the pressing force.

Various adhesives such as acrylic and epoxy adhesives can be used as the adhesive, but when the thin sheet is a synthetic resin-coated steel plate such as a PVC steel plate or a synthetic resin plate, tetrahydrofuran, ethyl acetate, It is preferable to use an adhesive in which the required amount of vinyl chloride resin, vinyl acetate resin, and copolymer resins of these or copolymer resins of these and other resins are dissolved in a solvent such as toluene and cyclohexanone, alone or in a mixture. Better. The resin that dissolves in the solvent may contain a plasticizer, a filler, a coloring agent, etc., for example, similar to the coating resin for a PVC steel plate.

In the above joining operation, although there are some undulations in the thin sheets 1 and 2 made of PVC steel plates, there is no lifting or peeling of the joining side edges 1A and 2A of both sheets 1 and 2 at the initial stage of adhesion. At the same time, there is no misalignment between the sheets 1 and 2, and the thickness of the adhesive tape 3 means that no separate presser is required and the presser pressure is constant, and there is no adhesive extrusion, resulting in extremely high workability. and the finish was beautiful. When the adhesive strength of both the thin plate-like sheets 1 and 2 was measured after being left for 7 days, it was found to be 510 kg/40 mm x 50 mm, which was sufficient for practical use. In addition, when the sealing properties of the joints were inspected by a vacuum test, there was no leakage at all, and the sealing properties, that is, watertightness, were extremely excellent.

For comparison, a thin sheet made of the same PVC steel plate as above was bonded with the above solvent-based adhesive without using adhesive tape.
At the initial stage of adhesion, there were many peeled spots on the joint side edges of both sheets, and the adhesive overflowed to the front side of the first thin sheet and the back side of the second thin sheet. When the joining side edge was strongly pressed from above using a presser to prevent the joining side edge from peeling off, more adhesive protruded out and workability was extremely poor.

Second Embodiment In FIG. 2 showing a second embodiment of the present invention,
After laying a heat insulating material 7 made of foamed polystyrene and a curing sheet 8 made of a nonwoven polyethylene fabric on the upper surface of the concrete wall 5 of the flat roof, a heat insulating material 7 made of polystyrene foam and a curing sheet 8 made of a nonwoven fabric made of polyethylene are laid, and then a heat insulating material 7 made of polystyrene foam and a curing sheet 8 made of a nonwoven polyethylene fabric are laid on the top surface of the concrete wall 5 of the flat roof. 1 and second thin sheet 1, 2
The joining side edges 1A and 2A were joined to form a heat insulating waterproof layer. In this case, since the double-sided adhesive tape 3 is pasted along the entire length of the joining side edge 1A of one first thin sheet 1,
There was no possibility that the adhesive would protrude to the back side of the second thin sheet 2, and therefore the heat insulating material 7 would not be attacked by the adhesive at all.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the method of the present invention overlaps the joining side edges 1A, 2A of the first and second thin sheets 1, 2 to be joined to each other, thereby bonding both the sheets 1, 2 together. For joining, a required length of double-sided adhesive tape 3 is applied to the joining side edge 1A of one of the first thin sheets 1, and an uncured adhesive layer 4 is formed on the area other than the area where the adhesive tape 3 is applied. Then, the joint side edge 2A of the other second thin plate-like sheet 2 is overlapped with the joint side edge 1A of the first sheet 1, and both are temporarily fixed via the adhesive tape 3, and an uncured adhesive is applied. Close contact via layer 4,
By curing the adhesive layer 4 in this state, both the sheets 1 and 2 are joined together, so the joining side edges 1A and 2A of the thin sheets 1 and 2 such as PVC steel plates are Even if there are undulations or warps in the material, it will not float, peel, or shift, and it can be joined reliably and firmly, and the presser pressure can be maintained constant without using a separate presser. It has the advantage of being very easy to work with, with almost no adhesive protruding, and a beautiful finish.
