Problems to be Solved by the Prior Art and the Invention A reciprocator that reciprocates a support member in the vertical direction is disposed near a conveyor that conveys the object to be coated in a substantially horizontal direction, and a reciprocator that reciprocates the support member in the vertical direction In automatic painting equipment, which has a configuration in which multiple spray guns are fixed at intervals in the transport direction of the objects to be coated, each object to be coated conveyed by a conveyor passes in front of a reciprocator. When painting, multiple spray guns are used to apply multiple coats, so painting can be done with high efficiency by increasing the conveyance speed of the conveyor, but the surface to be coated is uneven. In some cases, by driving the entire reciprocator forward and backward, the corresponding distance between each spray gun and each part of the surface to be coated is maintained constant, and an appropriate spray distance can be applied to each part of the surface to be coated. It is now being ensured. However, when objects to be coated with different depths are conveyed randomly by a conveyor, objects with different depths correspond to the front of each spray gun, and each spray gun corresponds to the surface of each object to be coated. Since the distance differs from spray gun to spray gun, it has not been possible to maintain each spray gun at an appropriate spray distance by driving the reciprocator forward and backward.

Means for Solving the Problems As a means for solving the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a method in which a plurality of drive devices are attached to the support member and whose actuating bodies are reciprocated in a direction substantially perpendicular to the running direction of the conveyor. By attaching each spray gun to each actuating body of each drive device and controlling each drive device separately based on data on the depth of the object to be coated detected in advance, each spray gun is connected to each part of the object to be coated. The configuration allows adjustment of the corresponding distance.

In Fig. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a conveyor that suspends the object to be coated and conveys it at a constant speed in the horizontal direction.A reciprocator 2 is disposed near the coating position A of the conveyor 1. The reciprocator 2 has a support bar 3 that is parallel to the conveying direction of the object to be coated (a) and is driven up and down reciprocatingly with a constant stroke. Spray guns 5, which project from the surface and direct toward the object a, are mounted horizontally on each of these projecting parts via a drive device 6 fixed to the support bar 3, and this drive device 6, as shown in FIG.
is supported across two guide rods 10, 10 which are spaced apart and parallel to each other and are supported horizontally and at right angles to the support bar 3. An air cylinder 11 is installed parallel to the guide rod 10, the tip of a piston rod 12 fitted into the housing 7 is connected to a moving body 8, and the tip of a mounting rod 14 is fixed to the moving body 8 in parallel with the guide rod 10. The spray gun 5 is mounted horizontally by a support member 15 fixed to the tip of the mounting rod 14, and each drive device 6
Each port at both ends of each air cylinder 11 is connected to a switching valve 16 connected to an air pressure supply source, as shown in FIG.
A control device 17 that sends a control signal for switching the switching valve 16 is connected to each of them, and the switching valve 16 is switched according to the control signal to switch the air cylinder 1.
By changing the protruding length of the piston rod 12 of the mounting rod 1, the movable body 8 inside the housing 7 moves and the mounting rod 1
4 has been changed from the housing 7, and as a result, the distance between the spray gun 5 and the object to be painted can be changed depending on the surface of each part of the object to be painted. , On the other hand, a detection device 18 is installed at a position in front of the coating position A of the conveyor 1 to detect the depth of each part of each object to be coated passing through that position.
Shift registers 20, 20 are connected in parallel, and the depth data of each workpiece a detected by the detection device 18 is transmitted to both registers 20, 20.
Each control device 17 controls the spray gun 5 so that when the object a comes in front of the corresponding spray gun 5, the control device 17 controls the object a to be painted. Depth data is read from each shift register 20, and a control signal corresponding to the data is sent to the switching valve 16, whereby each spray gun 5 is individually controlled to advance or retreat. There is.

Each object to be painted, which is suspended from the conveyor 1 and conveyed in the direction of the arrow in FIG. It is now being sprayed on and coated in layers.
When an object a to be painted approaches the front of each spray gun 5, the control device 1 transmits the depth data of the object a detected in advance and stored in the shift register 20.
7 reads out the data and sends a control signal corresponding to the data to the switching valve 16 to control the air cylinder 11, whereby each spray gun 5 is driven forward or backward according to the unevenness of the object to be coated a, and the unevenness is adjusted accordingly. Each location is sprayed at an appropriate spray distance, and each object a is sprayed with paint at an appropriate spray distance by each spray gun 5. Even when the object to be coated a is flown randomly by the conveyor 1, each spray gun 5 corresponds to each part of each object to be coated at an appropriate spray distance, and each object to be coated is sprayed by both spray guns 5, 5. This allows for proper layering.
