[Prior Art] Generally, in a floating roof type tank, a floating roof sealing device as shown in FIG. 4 of the drawings is generally used to seal the gap between the tank side plate and the floating roof. . As shown in the figure, this floating roof sealing device 1 has an elastic material 4 such as a rubber tube filled with kerosene or urethane foam arranged on a rim plate 3 provided on the outer periphery of a floating roof pontoon 2. The skirt band 5 is attached to the upper and lower ends of the rim plate 3 so as to wrap around the material 4.
The scuff band 5 is fixed against the tank side plate 7 by the elastic action of the elastic member 4 to seal it.

In such a configuration, as shown in Figures 5 and 6,
Due to uneven settlement of the foundation 8 directly below the tank side plate 7, a part of the tank side plate 7 has collapsed to the floating roof pontoon 2.
Since there is a limit to the length between the upper edge and the lower edge of the scath band 5 (hereinafter referred to as the "vertical length"), the scath band 5 will no longer reach the tank side plate 7, resulting in a seal failure. may occur. Therefore, if the deformation of the tank side plate 7 is slight and there is no problem with the safety of the tank body, the conventional seal adjustment method is to replace or repair the entire floating roof sealing device 1.

[Means for Solving the Problems] According to the present invention, in the seal adjustment method for a floating roof tank, the tank side plate is partially deformed and the gap between the tank side plate and the floating roof becomes wide, resulting in a seal failure. It is characterized in that an adjustment scuff band is added to the section so as to extend the length of the scuff band in the vertical direction.

As shown in the figure, the floating roof sealing device 1 in this embodiment is similar to the conventional floating roof pontoon 2.
It mainly consists of an elastic material 4 such as a kerosene-filled rubber tube placed on a rim plate 3 on the outer periphery of the rim plate 3, and a scuff band 5 attached to the rim plate 3 with bolts 6 so as to wrap around the elastic material 4.

Due to uneven settlement of the foundation 8 directly below the tank side plate 7, a part of the tank side plate 7 deforms outward, and even if an attempt is made to press the scuff band 5 against the tank side plate 7 by the elastic action of the elastic member 4, the scath band 5 If the vertical length of the tank is insufficient to reach the tank side plate 7 and a seal failure occurs (see Figures 5 and 6), in order to compensate for the shortage, the upper end as shown in Figure 2 is An adjustment scuff band 10 is prepared in which the bolt holes on the edge match the bolt holes on the upper end of the rim plate 3, and the bolt holes on the lower edge match the bolt holes on the upper edge of the existing scuff band 5, and the seal defect is detected. Remove the upper bolt 6 of the existing scuff band 5 at the section, bolt the upper edge of the adjusting scuff band 10 to the rim plate 3, and connect the lower edge of the adjusting scuff band 10 and the upper edge of the existing scuff band 5 with bolts 11. . As a result,
The existing scuff band 5 in the seal failure area can come into contact with the tank side plate 7, and the scuff band 5 is pressed against the tank side plate 7 by the elastic action of the elastic member 4, thereby restoring the sealing function.

In addition, since the shortfall in the length of the existing scuff band 5 in the longitudinal direction in the seal defect area increases from the edge to the center of the seal defect area, the shape of the adjustment scuff band 10 should be determined taking into account the difficulty of manufacturing. Therefore, a trapezoid as shown in FIG. 2 is optimal.

This embodiment is a simple method in which the adjustment scuff band 10 is added to the scuff band 5 with bolts, and the seal can be adjusted even while the tank is in use. ) may be manufactured and replaced with the existing scuff band 5 in the seal failure area when the tank is opened. In this case, the durability of the floating roof seal device after seal adjustment is improved over the previous embodiment.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, an adjustment scuff band can be added to the existing scuff band only in the region of the seal failure in a simple and inexpensive manner.
Since seal defects can be eliminated and adjustments can be made in a short period of time, there are effects such as improved tank operation rate.
