(Prior art) Conventionally, joint members made of rubber, steel plates, etc. are installed at road joints, with a stretch absorbing part between a pair of fixed parts, but a part of the joint member is exposed to the road surface. However, there is a boundary between the concrete part that fixes the joint member and the asphalt pavement, which are made of different materials. For this reason, in the past, due to the difference in the degree of road surface wear caused by rutting, a difference in level was created at the boundary between the joint member and the concrete section, or between the concrete section and the asphalt pavement section, which impeded vehicle drivability and at the road joint. There were problems with road pollution such as vibrations, noise, and low frequencies.

In addition, as another example of a road joint, there is also a so-called blind ground joint in which a wooden or steel plate is stretched over the opposing ends of the slab and paved on top. Or, the compatibility between the steel plate and the paving material is poor, and the paving material peels off.
Another problem was that the paving materials were subjected to force in the bridge length direction by the tires of passing vehicles, causing them to slide on top of wooden boards and bulge up.

On the other hand, the idea of providing protrusions on the paving material to improve the adhesion between the paving material and the underlying board, as disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-128806, is Are known.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) When protrusions are provided on the plate to increase the degree of adhesion with the paving material thereon, the paving material near the protrusions may cause shrinkage of the slab or damage caused by vehicles traveling on it. It becomes impossible to follow the tension caused by the frictional force of the tire and expand.
This causes stress concentration in the vicinity of the protrusion, causing problems such as cracks. In other words, there is a relationship between displacement and cracking of paving materials, and if one is prevented, the other cannot be prevented. The present invention attempts to solve these contradictory problems at the same time using a joint with a relatively simple structure. It is something to do.

(Means for Solving the Problems) As a means for solving the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, the present invention provides a notch lower than the upper surface of the deck slab at the end of the facing slab with a clearance at a road joint. A bridge plate having a bottom plate portion and a protrusion projecting upward from the bottom plate portion is installed on the stepped portion, and a joint paving is applied on the bridge plate so as to be continuous with the pavement on the upper surface of the deck plate. To provide a road joint in which the upper end of the protruding part of the bridge deck is located lower than the upper surface of the deck slab, and the joint part pavement is thicker than the pavement on the upper surface of the deck slab.

(Function) In the above-mentioned road joint, the protrusion prevents the joint pavement from slipping or peeling off from the bridge deck. Since the upper end of this protrusion is located at a lower position than the top surface of the floor slab, it is possible to prevent the protrusion from being exposed due to road surface abrasion caused by ruts and snowplow graders, etc. The pavement is thicker than the pavement on the upper surface of the deck slab, which alleviates the stress concentration caused by the expansion and contraction of the deck slab and the frictional force of the tires, and also makes it possible to ensure a sufficient height of the protrusion from the deck slab.

In other words, in the past, it was common to bridge the bridge over the top of the deck slab, and in that case, the top surface of the bottom plate of the bridge deck would be higher than the top of the deck, which would not only cause the pavement at the joint to become thinner. In order to prevent the protrusions from being exposed during pavement wear, it is necessary to reduce the height of the protrusions, and a sufficient anti-slip effect cannot be obtained.

In the case of the present invention, a notch step is provided at the end of the deck slab, the upper end of the protrusion is located lower than the upper surface of the slab, and the joint pavement is thickened, so that the protrusion necessary for the above-mentioned slip prevention etc. While ensuring a sufficient amount of protrusion, it is possible to prevent the protrusions from being exposed due to wear of the pavement, and to prevent cracks due to stress concentration on the pavement.

(Effects of the Invention) Therefore, according to the present invention, the wear of the road surface occurs uniformly at the road joint, and it is possible to prevent the pavement from slipping and peeling at the joint, and at the same time prevent cracking. It is possible to maintain good vehicle running performance over a long period of time.

<Example 1> This example is shown in Fig. 1, where 1 is a road joint, and there is a gap 2 at the road joint, and a gap 2 is provided at the end of opposing floor slabs 3, 3 so as to be lower than the top surface of the floor slab. A bridge board 4 is bridged between the notch steps 3a, 3a formed in the bridge board 4, and a joint paving 5 is provided on the bridge board 4 in series with the deck paving 7 on the top surface 6 of the deck.

The bridge board 4 has a protrusion 9 projecting upward from the bottom plate part 8 on the rigid bottom plate part 8 with a thickness of about 5 to 10 mm.
An underlay layer 10 having a thickness of about 2 to 10 mm is interposed between the bridge plate 4 and the cutout step 3a. For the bottom plate portion 8, a highly rigid plate such as a steel plate, a plastic plate, an FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) plate, or a concrete plate is applied. Further, in this example, the protrusion 9 is a reinforcing bar with a circular cross section and a diameter of about 10 to 20 mm, which is arranged in the road width direction and fixed to the floor plate part 8. In this case, the arcuate portion of the lower half of the protrusion 9 becomes a covering portion 9a that covers a part of the paving material of the joint pavement 5 from above.

The underlay layer 10 is intended to improve compatibility with the lower surface of the floor plate portion 8 and the upper surface 6 of the floor slab, and is made of a material with lower rigidity than the floor slab 3, such as a rubber plate, an asphalt processed board, mortar, cloth, etc. .

The joint pavement 5 and the floor slab pavement 7 are formed by pouring paving materials that have the same degree of wear due to the tires of passing vehicles, and the joint pavement 5 covers the projections 9 and is similar to the floor slab pavement. 7 and the top surface are flush with each other. In some cases, grooves 11 are formed in the pavement in the width direction of the road to absorb expansion and contraction of the pavement. The kerf 11 may be filled with liquid rubber sealing material, tar, or the like.

Therefore, the upper end of the projection 9 is located at a lower position than the upper surface 6 of the floor slab, and therefore the joint paving 5

In addition, as the paving material for the joint paving 5, other paving materials such as goose asphalt paving material, cement concrete paving material, resin mortar, and resin concrete may be used in addition to the asphalt paving material. 5 and the slab section pavement 7 are preferably formed of the same type of paving material.

Since this example has the above structure, the wear of the road surface due to rutting and the like occurs uniformly, so that good vehicle running performance can be maintained for a long time. In addition, the bottom plate portion 8 of the bridge board 4
Since it is made of a highly rigid material, the wheel load of a vehicle passing through the road joint is supported by the bridge deck 4, so that the joint pavement 5 is prevented from sinking into the gap 2. Further, the underlay layer 10 has the effect of absorbing the impact generated when a vehicle passes by, and also prevents water from leaking into the clearance space 2 when cracks occur in the joint pavement 5 due to aging or the like. In other words, the underlay layer 10 is in close contact with minute irregularities on the upper surface 6 of the floor slab so that no gap is created between the lower surface of the floor plate portion 8 and the upper surface 6 of the floor slab, thereby preventing water leakage. At the same time, the wobbling of the bridge deck 4 is eliminated, and cracking and breakage of the end of the deck slab due to impact when a vehicle passes is prevented.

In addition, since the protrusions 9 are provided on the upper surface of the bridge board 4, the degree of bonding between the bridge board 4 and the joint pavement 5 is increased, and even if the tires of passing vehicles receive force in the bridge length direction, the joint pavement 5 will not shift on the bridge deck, and the paving material will be prevented from rising or peeling. In particular, since the protrusions 9 of this example are made by laying reinforcing bars in the road width direction, it is possible to prevent the joint pavement 5 from slipping in the entire area between the road widths, and prevent wear of the joint pavement 5. Even if the protrusion 9 is exposed, there is no major problem in driving the vehicle. Furthermore, since the paving material of the joint pavement 5 wraps around below the covers 9a, 9a on both sides of the protrusion 9, it is highly effective in preventing slippage and peeling.

However, since the protrusion 9 of the bridge deck 4 is located at a lower position than the upper surface 6 of the deck slab, the joint pavement 5 may be worn down to the level of the upper surface 6 of the deck slab due to rutting or the grader of a snowplow. Even if it is scraped off, it will not be exposed to the road surface. Since the joint pavement 5 has a thick layer, the protrusions 9
can be made sufficiently high to ensure the connection between the bridge board 4 and the joint pavement 5, and at the same time, the tensile stress and compressive stress caused by expansion and contraction of the deck slab are dispersed throughout the thick joint pavement 5. Furthermore, even if cracks occur in the vicinity of the projections 9 in the lower layer of the joint pavement 5, the cracks are less likely to propagate to the upper layer.
