When feeding a filament to a collection machine, etc., the wire breakage can be detected by attaching something like a rotary encoder to the guide roller shaft of the filament to be fed out, and generating pulses by the rotation of the guide roller shaft. This is done by electrically monitoring the pulses, but these methods require expensive equipment.

The present invention has been made with the above points in mind, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method that can perform disconnection detection at an extremely low cost.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes:
When feeding thin wire from a bobbin in the axial direction to a collecting machine, etc., attach a conductive elastic string in the radial direction to the feeding side flange of the bobbin, and
An electrode is brought into contact with this elastic string and a constant DC voltage is applied between the two, and the thin wire is drawn out while being in contact with the elastic string to cause the electrode and the elastic string to come into contact with each other and separate from each other. The pulse generated by the contact and separation causes the It was designed to detect breaks in thin wires.

The present invention is configured as described above, and the thin wire is fed out while going around the flange,
As it goes around, it comes into contact with and separates from the elastic string. During this contact and separation, the elastic string is bent, so
The elastic string and the electrode also come into contact and separate. For this reason, the elastic string and the electrode are electrically disconnected, and a pulse signal is generated due to the disconnection. If this occurs at regular intervals, it means that the thin wire is being fed out normally, and no pulse signal is generated. If it disappears, the thin wire will be broken. That is, a disconnection is detected based on the presence or absence of a generated pulse.

A conductive metal boss 1 is attached to one flange 10 of the
1 is fitted into the boss 11, and radial elastic strings 12 are attached to the boss 11 at required intervals in the circumferential direction. The elastic strings 12 are made of nylon strings except for two symmetrically located strings 12a, and the other strings 12a are conductive elastic strings made of carbon fiber. An electrode 15 is in contact with this conductive elastic string 12a.

As shown in FIG. 4, for example, when feeding out a plurality of thin wires a to a collector (not shown),
The embodiment is constructed on each bobbin B, and a thin wire a is fed out from each bobbin B set upright.

Each of the thin wires a is fed out while going around the flange 10 as shown by the solid line → chain line in FIG. 1, and comes into contact with and leaves the elastic string 12 as it goes around. During this contact and separation, the elastic string 12 is bent as shown by the chain line in Figure 1, so the elasticity of the elastic string 12 causes the thin line a
is given a constant tension.

Furthermore, when the thin wire a comes into contact with and leaves the conductive elastic string 12a, a pulse signal t is generated, and if this generation occurs at regular intervals, the controller 14 determines that the thin wire a is being fed out normally, and the pulse signal t is generated. If it stops, it is determined that the thin wire a is broken, and an alarm is sounded and the entire feeding operation (collecting machine) is stopped.

In addition, in this embodiment, since a plurality of elastic strings 12 are provided in the circumferential direction of the flange 10, there is an advantage that a constant tension is applied to the thin wire a, and the thin wire a is not subjected to any electrical action, such as voltage. Since no voltage is applied, there is no need to worry about electrical discharge or the like, and there is no risk of damaging the thin wire a.
