Conventional Structure and its Problems The general structure of a conventional card reader is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. A flywheel 3 is driven by a small pulley 2a attached to the output shaft of a drive motor 2 via a belt 4. flywheel 3
A conveyance roller 10 is coaxially attached to the. Furthermore, the flywheel 3 has conveyor rollers 7 and 1.
1 is driven by belts 6 and 5. Each of the conveyance rollers 10, 7, and 11 is provided with a pressure roller 8 which is biased toward each conveyance roller by a spring (not shown) in order to ensure the conveyance of the card. The inserted card 1 is conveyed by the conveyance roller 7 and the pressure roller 8, and then sent to the next conveyance roller 10. This method has the disadvantage that the overall volume of the card reader becomes large because the transport roller and the drive motor are configured separately.
In contrast to the conventional card readers as described above, a type of card reader has also been proposed in which the card is fixed in a fixed position after being conveyed and a sliding member having a signal reading section or writing section of the card is driven. Examples of the moving head type card reader are shown in FIGS. 3 to 5. In the figure, a worm gear 24 is attached to an output shaft 23 of a drive motor 22, and a pinion gear 25 meshes with the worm gear 24. Two one-way clutches 26 and 27 are attached to the pinion gear shaft 32 and are adapted to transmit rotation in opposite directions. One-way clutch 26 drives belt 33, which in turn drives belt 28. belt 2
A card is inserted between 8 and 29, and the card is conveyed. On the other hand, the sliding member 36 having the card signal reading section or writing section is connected to the one-way clutch 2.
7. Reading the card signal by the signal detection head 31 driven through the belts 34 and 35;
Signals are written to the card. 30 is a belt. In this method, the space for the drive motor becomes larger, as in the conventional example shown in Figs. 1 and 2, and the overall volume of the product increases.
The disadvantage is that the driving force transmission system is complicated.

Structure of the Invention In order to extract a relatively large torque, a geared motor was developed in which the rotating shaft of the motor body is decelerated by a reduction gear train built in the same casing, and the output is output from an output shaft concentric with the motor's rotating shaft. has been done. Since the rotation speed of the output shaft of this geared motor is geared down and is not large, it is excellent in that there is no need to use a separate reduction gear train. In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a simple configuration in which a motor is used both as a drive motor in a card transport mechanism and as a drive motor in a movement mechanism that moves a head that reads or writes information on a card. This technology focuses on the fact that the card reader body can be made more compact by doing so, and includes a shaft restraint means that restrains the rotation of the output shaft of the drive motor and rotates the casing, and a casing restraint means that restrains the rotation of the casing and rotates the output shaft. It has a head moving means for moving the head by the rotation of one of the drive motors, and a conveyance means for conveying the card by the rotation of the other drive motor.

Next, a second embodiment shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 will be described. A spur gear 52 is attached to the output shaft 51 of the geared motor.
A spur gear 53 meshes with the spur gear 53, and a spur gear 54 meshes with the spur gear 53. A pulley 55 is coaxially attached to the spur gear 54.
5 drives a belt 56. Spur gears 53 and 54 also serve as fly holes. A sliding member 57 is attached to the belt 56 for reading signals from the card or writing signals to the card. The sliding member 57 slides while being guided by a sliding guide rod 58. The above configuration corresponds to the head moving means. Reference numeral 59 denotes a power transmission switching member, which is rotatably attached to the shaft 60 and supported by a spring 6.
1 in the clockwise direction. As shown in FIG. 8, the claw portion 59 of the power transmission switching member 59
rotation of the geared motor output shaft 51 is restrained by a (shaft restraining means), and conversely, the cylindrical casing of the geared motor is in a rotatable state. The gear 62 is integrally attached to the geared motor casing, and has trapezoidal teeth 62.
The rotation of the geared motor casing can be restrained by inserting the claw portion 59b of the power transmission switching member 59 into the geared motor casing (casing restraining means). When the card 63 is inserted in the state shown in FIG. 8, it is detected by a card insertion detection switch (not shown), and the geared motor and other electric circuits are turned on. When the switch is turned on, the geared motor rotates clockwise. The inserted card 63 is conveyed to the right in the figure by an elastic body 64 wound around the geared motor casing and a roller 66 urged by a pressing spring 65 (conveying means). card 6
When the card 3 slides on the card support section 67 and is conveyed to the card stopper 67a, a sensor (not shown) sends a card conveyance end signal to the electric circuit section. After card conveyance is completed, the solenoid 68 is turned on, the power transmission switching member 59 connected by the pin 69 rotates counterclockwise, the claw portion 59b enters the tooth portion 62a of the gear 62, and the geared motor casing At the same time, the claw portion 59a and the spur gear 52 are disengaged from each other.
The output shaft 51 of the geared motor becomes rotatable. This state is shown in FIG. Since the geared motor casing was rotated clockwise during card transportation, the power transmission switching member 5
By switching 9, the output shaft 51 of the geared motor
will rotate counterclockwise. Due to the configuration of the power transmission system, the pulley 55 is also in the same direction as the output shaft 51,
That is, it rotates counterclockwise, and the sliding member 57 is driven over the card 63 to the left in the figure. Sliding member 5
A pressure spring 57a is attached to 7, and urges the signal reading/writing head 57b, which is supported slidably in the vertical direction in the drawing with respect to the sliding member 57, downward in the drawing. When the sliding member 57 is driven to the left in the figure, the signal read/write head 57b and the card 63
Signals are read or written between
The sliding member 57 reaches the left end of the card in the figure. When the sliding member 57 reaches the left end, it is detected by a detection sensor (not shown), and the rotation direction of the geared motor is reversed. As a result, the sliding member 57 is driven to the right in the figure. When the sliding member 57 reaches the right end and enters the state shown in FIG. 8, the solenoid 68 is turned off, the power transmission switching member 59 rotates clockwise by the force of the spring 61, and the output shaft 51 of the geared motor is rotated clockwise. At the same time, the casing of the geared motor rotates counterclockwise to eject the card and complete the series of operations.
