ム、合成紙等の支持体に塗布したものであり加熱により
ロイコ染料と顕色剤の一方又は両者が溶融、接触して起
こる化学反応により発色記録を得るものである。この様
な発色記録を得るにはサーマルヘッドを内蔵したサーマ
ルプリンター等が用いられる。感熱記録方式は(1)記録
時に騒音が出ない(2)現象、定着等の必要がない(3)メイ
ンテナンスフリーである(4)機械が比較的安価である等
の特徴がありフアクシミリ分野、コンピユーターのアウ
トプット、電卓等のプリンター分野、医療計測用のレコ
ーダー分野、自動券売機分野、感熱記録型ラベル分野等
