件下のものに対しては、その効果は殆ど期待できなかっ
た。そのことは微視的に研究を重ねた結果、当業界で従
来より広く使われている熱に強いAg、Cu、Zn等の
金属イオンからなる抗菌剤とセラミック焼成原材料とを
混合させてセラミックを焼成すると、セラミックの表壁
面や多孔内壁面に、あたかも焼き付け塗装したかのよう
に抗菌剤が強力に付着していることが確認出来た。その
ため殺菌効果の持続時間は、単に含浸したものに比べ飛

学繊維糸面にセラミック粉粒体が凸状に露出し、パイル
糸(4)表面が凹凸状を呈し、そこへ泥やほこりが附着す
ると、繊維糸と附着物との間にすきまが生じ、洗濯時に
洗濯水がこのすきまに速やかに入り込み泥やほこりの洗
い落しを速進容易にするという功を奏するからでもあ
る。これは洗濯物や食器等の洗浄時間の短縮化を図るた
めの手法と同じ現象である。なおこの吸湿性によって常
に湿気を帯びているから泥やほこりの極端な乾燥を防止
するので、泥やほこりがパイル糸にコビリ付くことがな
く、更に周囲への飛散を阻止し衛生的であるという功を
奏する。また繊維糸内にセラミック粉粒体(3)を混入し
たものは、混入していないものと比較して糸の腰が強
く、踏まれても立ち上がりが良く、しかもそのクッショ
ン作用も従来とは比較にならないくらいに持続し、その
立毛繊維によって靴の側部の掃除も効果的に行え、くつ
