For example, in the method using dehydrobromide of cis-1-bromo-2-fluorocyclohexane, an expensive base such as potassium tert-butyroxide must be used. The method using dehydrochlorination of 1-chloro-1-fluorocyclohexane has a low yield. Further, the method of dehydrofluorination of 1,1-difluorocyclohexane using alumina requires an extremely large amount of alumina as a dehydrofluorination agent, which is not practical.
