In the bathtub, when water supply for bathing and drainage for cleaning and the like are repeated, the plate material forming the bathtub alternately repeats a wet state and a dry state. As a result, the plate material will be cracked and water will be leaked. The above-mentioned cracks occur earlier in particular when the hot water (or water) in the bathtub is left undrawn for several days due to water saving or the like. In such a case, repairing such as filling the cracked part with a filling material such as resin is extremely labor-intensive and costly, and even if such partial repair is performed, use of the bathtub As long as the above is continued, cracks will occur at other points, requiring frequent repairs. In addition, the bathtub repaired in this way has a problem that the aesthetic appearance is deteriorated.

In the bathtub 1 having such a configuration, even if one or both of the plate materials 12A and 12B may be repeatedly wetted and dried and cracked due to the use thereof, hot water or water is removed from the bathtub 1 by the waterproof sheet 9. There is no leakage. In particular, in the case of using a plate material subjected to the treatment according to the above patent, in this plate material, moisture and sap of wood are completely removed by evaporation, and its composition changes to a state in which only fibers remain, and therefore, It exhibits water absorption similar to that of conventional dry wood, but has the characteristic that the drainage of absorbed water is much higher than that of conventional dry wood. As a result, the bathtub 1 composed of the side plates 2 to 5 and the bottom plate 6 made of such wood.
When the hot water is discharged after bathing, since it dries in a short time, cracks are less likely to occur, and therefore, the life of the bath is further extended in combination with the above-described water leakage prevention effect of the water resistant sheet 9. In addition, in this bathtub 2, the side plate 2
5 and the joints between the laminated plates 12 in the bottom plate 6, that is, the facing wood openings 12C, 12C are synthetic resin joints 1 with impregnation 13A.
3, and the joints between the side plates 2 and 3 and the side plates 4 and 5, and the joints between the side plates 2 to 5 and the bottom plate 6 are completely completed by the joint bodies 15 and 16 with impregnation 15A and 16A, respectively. Water leakage is prevented.
