Next, the operation of this outdoor unit will be described. During operation of the air conditioner, the compressor (5) is driven to operate a refrigerant circuit (not shown), and the outdoor heat exchanger (6) functions as a condenser during cooling and as an evaporator during heating. On the other hand, the air blower (7) is also operated, the outdoor air (11) is sucked in from the suction port (42), and after being heated or cooled by the outdoor heat exchanger (6), it is discharged from the air outlet (43). It is discharged above the outdoor unit (4).

Further, FIG. 5 schematically shows a state in which an outdoor unit (4) of a conventional air conditioner having a blowout port (43) in the front is installed on a veranda on each floor of a multi-story building such as an office building. In the perspective view, the air (11) sucked from the suction port (42) is heated or cooled by the outdoor heat exchanger (not shown) as in the above, and is blown from the blowout port (43) to the front of the outdoor unit (4). That is, it is discharged toward the outside of the office building.

Since the outdoor unit of the conventional air conditioner shown in FIG. 4 is configured as described above and the air outlet is provided on the upper surface of the box body, as shown in FIG. When installed on the balcony or balcony of the building, as shown in Fig. 4, the exhaust flow (8) blown out from the outlet (43) hits the balcony (1) of the upper floor. There is a problem that the short-cycle operation is performed in which the air flows downward and is again sucked from the suction port (42), and the protective device of the air conditioner is activated to disable the operation.

Further, in the other conventional air conditioner outdoor unit shown in FIG. 5, since the air outlet (43) is provided on the front surface of the box, the short cycle operation due to its own exhaust is prevented as described above. However, since the exhaust gas blown from the outlet (43) flows upward as a rising airflow (12) in the vicinity of the building, the exhaust air of the lower-floor outdoor unit is taken into the upper-floor outdoor unit, and Similarly, there is a problem that the protection device of the air conditioner is activated and operation becomes impossible.

According to the present invention, the exhaust gas blown from the side surface of the box is swirled by the swirling means to form a swirling jet flow, which promotes the stirring and mixing with the surrounding air and the reaching distance of the swirling jet flow is long. Short cycles due to own exhaust that is carried away to a distance that does not directly affect the intake port and short cycles between outdoor units installed on the upper and lower floors are prevented.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a vertical sectional view showing an embodiment of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner of the present invention installed on a veranda on the second floor of a multi-storey building. In FIG. 1, the same reference numerals as those in FIGS. 3 to 5 indicate the same or corresponding portions, and the description thereof will be omitted. (1
Reference numeral 3) is a swirl vane that swirls the exhaust gas blown out from the air outlet (43), and is composed of a blade (132) cut and raised to form a box body as shown in FIG. It is fixed to the air outlet (43) of (41) with a screw (not shown) or the like.

In such a configuration, when the air conditioner is operated, the exhaust gas blown from the outlet (43) of the outdoor unit (4) passes through the swirl vane (13) and is swirled by the swirl vane (13). , Becomes a swirling jet, is agitated and mixed with the surrounding air, and the temperature of the exhaust gas rapidly becomes equal to the ambient air temperature. Since the swirling jet has a long reach, the exhaust gas is carried away to the outside of the building where it does not directly affect the intake port of the outdoor unit. Therefore, the upper-level outdoor unit does not directly suck its own exhaust flow and the exhaust of the lower-level outdoor unit, and short-cycle operation is prevented.

In the above embodiment, the stationary swirl vane in which the swirl vane is fixed to the air outlet is described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the swirl vane may be rotated by a motor or the like, and a duct having both ends open. It is also possible that a spiral swivel shaft is inserted into the duct and the exhaust gas having one end opening of the duct fixed to the air outlet is guided into the duct to swirl the exhaust gas by the spiral swivel shaft. Further, these turning means may be arranged in the exhaust passage in the case of the outdoor unit.

Further, in the above-mentioned embodiment, the case where the air outlet is provided on the side surface of the box body constituting the outdoor unit and the suction port is provided on the side surface opposite to this side surface is described, but the invention is not limited to this, and any surface of the box body is suctioned. The mouth may be provided, for example, the upper surface of the box body or the side surface provided with the air outlet.

As described above, according to the present invention, the exhaust blown from the outdoor unit outlet of the air conditioner is configured to swirl, so that the exhaust becomes a swirling jet and is agitated and mixed with the surrounding air, so that the temperature of the exhaust is rapidly increased. Becomes equal to the ambient air temperature,
In addition, since the swirling jet flow has a long reach, the exhaust air is carried away to the outside of the building where it does not directly affect the outdoor unit's suction port, so its own exhaust flow and the exhaust flow of the lower-floor outdoor unit can The short cycle operation that sucks in as is is prevented, and stable operation is performed.
