Not sure if anyone else tried out the Tumblr communities feature... but we did create an atozines one, not sure if anyone would be interested in it, but feel free to join it and post about your projects.

🪴Interest Check Results 🪴

Unfortunately, we only received 31 responses. This was a fairly expected response for a free zine featuring a supporting character. However we are more than happy to move forward if participants are okay with a small scale project.

We will be looking for at least 20 applications to move forward, as we do understand that some may not be interested in participating in a small zine. Sign-ups open on March 01 for those who are still interested. 

Although Desert Bloom will not have a blog dedicated to the zine, you can find posts about this project on atozines here.

  • What Tweets/Posts do you RT share? - We rarely RT things on our main twitter since our bot @atozines_bot does a lot of RTing. Our main account now is mostly used to remind people to check our resources, and any updates to our resources. 
  • What do you share on Instagram? - In our Story, we try to only share posts that explicitly state the zine name or account in the graphic/video. In our Feed, moderators can DM us to feature their zine in our feed. They do not need an IG account to do this, but they do need to provide 1:1 images. 
  • Can we get our events added to the Calendar? - Yes, everyone (not just mods) can submit to the calendar through our submission form. You do not need a twitter account. We ask that you read the form carefully so that your zine is recorded correctly in the Calendar. 
  • Can we get added to the tracker? - Yes. Zines are added by tagging us on twitter, submitting to the calendar, messaging us through our Curiouscat or by DMing us on Twitter. If any information needs to be updated you can contact us through Curiouscat or Twitter.

Due to the uncertainty on twitter, we are aware that many people are creating profiles on other accounts. At the moment, @atozines​ does NOT have plans on returning to tumblr. There are many other resources that are doing so, instead we may focus our attention on Instagram. 

You can find us at instagram.com/_atozines/. 

Tag us in posts and we’ll share them in our story.  If you wish to add as as a collaborator please be sure the following is clear: what the zine theme/fandom is, zine name, dates for deadlines, and what even you are trying to promote (IC, apps, PO). Feel free to ask us for clarification if needed, more guidelines on our carrd. 

Submitting to the atozines resources: 

Zines that only have Tumblrs and Instagrams CAN submit to the Calendar. Due to our automations we recommend twitter links, but it is not a requirement. We have various embeds and links for submissions. 
You can access the form from our carrd and tumblr! 

 @atozine​ vs @atozines​? 

To clarify confusion atozine is an empty host account used mostly to follow zines—doubling as a blogroll, feel free to find zine accounts with it. 
We wanted atozines to be a side blog so that other moderators could access the blog without needing to log out.
