Integrate in minutes, debug without leaving your IDE. Docs, SDKs, and auth optimized for agentic development.
Any EVM-compatible wallet works, such as MetaMask, WalletConnect wallets, Coinbase Wallet, and 1inch Wallet. For manual setup:
Mainnet:
Network name: Gnosis
RPC: https://rpc.gnosischain.com
Chain ID: 100
Symbol: xDAI
Explorer: https://gnosisscan.io/Fees are extremely low, usually less than a cent, since gas is paid in xDAI. Blocks are produced roughly every 5 seconds, and transactions are finalized quickly, making the UX similar to Ethereum but at a much lower cost.
Yes. Gnosis Chain has lower throughput than some newer L2s, so during network congestion, transactions can slow down. Because fees are very cheap, underpricing gas can cause delays—slightly higher gas prices help ensure faster inclusion.
For stable pairs, 0.1-0.3% is usually enough. For major volatile pairs, 0.5-1% is common. On smaller or illiquid pools, 1-2% or more may be required. Always adjust slippage depending on volatility and pool depth.
As on other EVM networks, avoid infinite approvals where possible. Use only the amount needed for each swap, and rely on Permit2 or permit flows if supported. Regularly review and revoke unused allowances through block explorer or reputable revoke tools.
The chain itself is fully permissionless, with no protocol-level restrictions. Compliance checks, sanctions screening, or geo-blocking may apply only at the level of individual dApps, wallets, or bridges, not the base chain.
You can follow the official Gnosis Chain status page for live incident updates and check announcements in the Gnosis documentation and community channels for upgrade news and maintenance alerts.
