Great work with Pika the blog platform :)
Thoroughly enjoyed following your blog posts from Florence!
Hey I resonated with your long read it later habit. I am also a collector. Articles I use for research I tag as #keeper. The rest get topic related tags. My decay rate is a month. If I don’t read it in a month I feel okay purging it from the list.
Hi Barry,
Just read your post about Zimmer and thought of sharing my experience with him.
I watched lion king, gladiator before but I actually noticed him for his work on Inception like so many other Indians.
He opened me to the world of OST tracks and I went back to Bernard Hermann, Ennio Morricone, and lot of other musicians only because of him.
Without him, my door for lot of western music would be closed. I’m forever thankful to him for expanding my music taste.
I think his best soundtrack is Time from Inception. Best scene with his track is the mountains scene in interstellar. I love gladiator scores but I think he moves to a different level with Nolan movies.
Six months after quitting blogging and taking down my blog where I’d also been restoring 20 years of posts, I’m about to go all-in on Pika. I just saw the thing about maybe someday automating finding Wayback links for dead links; That’d be cool. If I had one thing more than anything else I’d submit to a feature request queue, it’d be automatic backlink: posts should show what other posts on the same blog link to the, allowing readers who find old posts to easily follow forward in time to later posts that referenced them. Anyway, I’m browsing through your archive, and Good Enough’s, to get more sense of where you’re headed with Pika.
