Curry brown rice with veggies

Ingredients

  1. rice
  2. 1 cup Raw brown basmati rice
  3. 1 small onion, chopped
  4. 4 tbsp curry powder
  5. 2 cup boiling water
  6. 1 tbsp olive oil
  7. 1 salt & pepper to taste
  8. Curry powder
  9. 2 tbsp Cumin seeds
  10. 2 tbsp coriander
  11. 2 tbsp turmeric
  12. 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  13. 1 tbsp cardamon
  14. Vegetables
  15. 2 cup steamed vegetables , peas , carrots & broccoli

Cooking Instructions

    Put olive oil in a medium heat medium pot and then put the onions until tender

  2. 2

    Add the Curry powder and stir for one minute then add the rice

  3. 3

    Stir the rice for 2 minutes to get the flavor then put the water and season with salt and pepper

  4. 4

    Reduce heat and leave it for 12-15 minutes until perfectly cooked.

    Steam the vegetables if they aren't already steamed and when the rice is done just mix everything together.

    For the curry powder , bring a small pan and toast the cumin seeds , coriander and the cardamon until it's aromatic then ground and mix it with the turmeric and cayenne pepper.
