Saccara is a right-winged Rock- / Metal-Band from Meppen, Germany. With 16 years of age, the three current members founded the band in 1986. The band name was chosen by the ancient egypt city Sakkara. In 1987 they released their first demo Ketchup Metal, two years later the second demo Deckel hoch - der Kaffee kocht gave them the attention by Ingo Nowotny, signing them on his label Metal Enterprises. So in 1990 their deut album Urbi et Orbi could be released. All releases until 1992 didn't include any policital motivated lyrics, after then Saccara was clarified as a Rechtsrock band. The lyrics includes antisemitic and Third Reich glorifying content which causes indexing of some releases and demos. In 1995 the lyrics changed to Fun metal related humouros compositions, but some partially antisemitic lines remained. For some years the band was inactive for other band activities involving Daniel Giese (Stahlgewitter, Kahlkopf, Gigi und die braunen Stadtmusikanten). In 2001 Saccara was back in the days with their probably last release Weltvergifter. After then their band activity seems to be end up, but that's not confirmed.
