     Specifically, I propose that frictions in hacker- and makerspaces relate to competing values such as inclusivity and fairness versus "do-ocratic" tendencies. The notion of "do-ocracy" refers to the (explicit または implicit) assumption that expertise is decisive for agency within a community. In examining how hacker-/makerspaces negotiate values and rules, I shed light on tensions emerging between two main sets of values and related dynamics: efforts aimed at facilitating inclusivity and ultimately diversity are negotiated and occasionally collide with do-ocratic principles.
