Blend of Fauci +‎ fascism, referencing Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the chief figures in the White House Coronavirus Task Force, who emphasized the urgency of pandemic countermeasures. Coined by American politician, 46th Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis during the COVID-19 pandemic who used the slogan "Freedom over Faucism".^[1][2]
