In the above-mentioned prior art, since the drying of the bonding resin 3 is natural drying, the process time is long, and the productivity is poor. In addition, since the base 2 is naturally dried while being conveyed with the base 2 down, the base 2 may be displaced by vibration. If the drying is insufficient, the base 2 is moved by the weight and vibration of the socket 5,
There is a case where it shifts as shown in FIG. If a knocking voltage is applied while the adhesive resin 3 is moistened, the internal resistance between the socket pin terminals is reduced due to the effect of moisture or an acidic solution contained in the adhesive, and the knocking may not be applied correctly.

Generally, a silicone resin solution (semi-solid) is used as the adhesive in order to obtain high withstand voltage between the socket pin terminals during drying. Especially in recent years, the high voltage of cathode ray tubes
Since the voltage has been increased from 25 KV to 30 KV or more, the base insulation resistance of the electrodes has become important, and the above-mentioned problem has to be solved.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a cathode ray tube in which even when a socket for knocking is mounted, the base does not shift due to the weight of the socket and the insulation resistance between the socket pin terminals does not decrease. The object of the present invention is to produce a cathode ray tube having a base attached via an adhesive resin as a manufacturing method, transporting the cathode ray tube on a floor conveyor with its face side downward, and using a drying furnace provided in the middle of the floor conveyor. Is dried, and then, the cathode tube is knocked on the way of being conveyed by the above-mentioned floor conveyor or a separate floor conveyor while keeping the face down in the same manner as described above.

Further, as a manufacturing apparatus, a floor conveyor, a cathode ray tube are placed with its face side down, a pallet placed and transported on the floor conveyor, and provided in the middle of the floor conveyor, This is achieved by providing a drying furnace for drying the resin, and by performing the knocking after drying the bonding resin.

Since the cathode ray tube is placed on the pallet on the floor conveyor with the face surface of the cathode ray tube facing down, the base portion does not sway during transportation and the base position is fixed. For this reason, the drying oven can be reduced in size, and the capacity of the electric heater can be reduced.
It can be dried effectively. Further, since the knocking step is also performed with the face surface downward, the position of the base is constant as described above, and the mounting and dismounting of the socket for knocking can be easily and easily performed. In addition, since the mounting is performed with the face side down, even if the socket for knocking is mounted, the cap does not shift due to the weight of the socket. Further, since the bonding resin is sufficiently dried by a drying oven before the mounting of the socket for knocking, the insulation resistance between the pin terminals does not decrease, and it is difficult for dust to adhere to the bonding resin. There is no insulation deterioration.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. This embodiment shows an example in which two floor conveyors 6 are arranged in parallel. On the floor conveyor 6, the CRT 1
A pallet 7 is placed with its face down. In the middle of the floor conveyor 6, a furnace support plate 8 provided with a groove 8a so as to protrude a neck portion of the cathode ray tube 1 is provided. On the furnace support plate 8, a tunnel-shaped drying furnace 9 is fixed. ing. The drying furnace 9 includes an electric heater 10 provided at a portion corresponding to the bonding resin 3 and a furnace main body 11 made of a heat insulating material to which the electric heater 10 is fixed.

As described above, since the cathode ray tube 1 is placed on the pallet 7 on the floor conveyor 6 with the face surface of the cathode ray tube facing down, no swing occurs in the base 2 during transportation, and the position of the base 2 is fixed. Therefore, the size of the drying furnace 9 provided in the middle of the floor conveyor 6 can be reduced, the capacity of the electric heater 10 can be reduced, and the bonding resin 3 can be effectively dried. The floor conveyor 6 is for knocking, and the pallet 7
When a socket for knocking and a power supply device are placed on the floor conveyor 6 following the cathode ray tube 1 passing through the drying furnace 9, the socket can be automatically and easily mounted. A knocking voltage can be applied later. Also, the cost of the transport equipment is reduced, and the CRT transfer device in the drying step and the knocking step can be omitted. In this case, the floor conveyor for knocking need not be integral with the floor conveyor 6 for drying, but may be a separate one disposed continuously.

Further, since the face 2a is placed with the face surface 1a facing downward, there is no fear that the base 2 is displaced by the weight of the socket after the socket is mounted. Further, before the socket is mounted, the bonding resin 3 is sufficiently dried by the drying furnace 9, so that the bonding resin 3 does not adhere to the socket and the bonding resin 3 does not adhere.
No dust adheres to the surface. Thereby, good insulation between the pin terminals is maintained, and stable knocking can be performed.

By the way, as shown in FIG.
When the cathode ray tube 1 is held with its face 1a upward, the trolley hanger 4 swings to
Position is not fixed. For this reason, if a drying furnace is provided in the middle of the trolley conveyor for aging, the drying furnace needs to be large and the capacity of the electric heater needs to be large, so that it becomes expensive and the reliability of drying is low. If the socket for knocking is attached before drying, the base 2 may be displaced due to the weight of the socket, resulting in a defect. In addition, the knocking effect is weak, and the surrounding dust is induced. Is impaired.

In this regard, in this embodiment, since the drying furnace 9 is provided in the middle of the floor conveyor 6, the above-described effects can be obtained.
