Description
(実施例1〜6、比較例1〜4)
まず、粉末冶金法により、組成が27.6Nd−4.9Dy−0.5Co−0.4Al−0.07Cu−1.0B−残部Fe(数字は重量百分率を表す。)である鋳塊を作製し、これを粗粉砕した。その後、不活性ガスによるジェットミル粉砕を行って、平均粒径約3.5μmの微粉末を得た。得られた微粉末を金型内に充填し、磁場中で成形した。次いで、真空中で焼結後、熱処理を施して焼結体を得た。得られた焼結体を20mm×10mm×2mmの寸法に切り出し加工し、磁石素体を得た。次に、得られた磁石素体を脱脂処理した後、超音波洗浄を行った。
(高温高湿試験)
実施例1〜6及び比較例1〜4の希土類磁石を、85℃85%RHの雰囲気に放置する耐湿性試験を行い、試験後の各希土類磁石の観察を行った。
実施例1〜6及び比較例1〜4の希土類磁石の表面に、それぞれ直径4.1mmのAl製スタッドピンをエポキシ接着剤で接着し、これを加熱硬化させた。この磁石を60℃95%RHの雰囲気に24時間放置した後、スタッドピンを希土類磁石から引き剥がす引張試験を行った。
実施例1〜6及び比較例1〜4の希土類磁石を、それぞれ50℃の純水3ml中に1時間浸漬した後に、純水中に溶出したシリカ成分の濃度をデジタルパックテスト・マルチ(商品名:株式会社共立理化学研究所)を用いてモリブデン青法により測定した。得られた結果を表2にまとめて示す。この溶出量が多いほど、保護層が水により腐食され易く、耐水性が劣ることを示している。
Claims (5)
- 希土類元素を含む磁石素体と、該磁石素体の表面上に形成された保護層と、を有する希土類磁石の製造方法であって、
アルカリ溶液に可溶な亜鉛化合物をアルカリ珪酸塩水溶液に溶解させて濁度が100NTU以下である処理液を得る第1工程と、
前記磁石素体の表面に、前記処理液を付着させる第2工程と、
前記磁石素体の表面に付着した前記処理液を硬化させて、当該処理液の硬化物からなる保護層を形成する第3工程と、
を有することを特徴とする希土類磁石の製造方法。 - 前記第1工程において、前記亜鉛化合物を前記アルカリ珪酸塩水溶液に添加した後、24時間以上攪拌する、ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の希土類磁石の製造方法。
- 前記亜鉛化合物が、硫酸亜鉛、ホウ酸亜鉛、塩基性炭酸亜鉛、酢酸亜鉛、塩化亜鉛、グルコン酸亜鉛又はそれらの水和物である、請求項1又は2記載の希土類磁石の製造方法。
- 希土類元素を含む磁石素体と、該磁石素体の表面上に形成された保護層と、を有しており、
前記保護層は、アルカリ珪酸塩を含み、且つ、亜鉛及び/又は亜鉛化合物が均一に分散したものであり、前記亜鉛及び/又は前記亜鉛化合物の粒子が含まれないものである、ことを特徴とする希土類磁石。 - 前記保護層中の前記亜鉛及び/又は前記亜鉛化合物は、亜鉛元素の割合で、アルカリ珪酸塩中の珪素1モルに対して0.001〜0.05モル含まれる、ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の希土類磁石。
