Description
以下、この発明における流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置を、エンジンに設けられる排気還流装置(EGR装置)の排気還流弁(EGR弁)に具体化した第1実施形態につき図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
次に、この発明における流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置をEGR弁に具体化した第2実施形態につき図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
次に、この発明における流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置をEGR弁に具体化した第3実施形態につき図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
(2)前記第1実施形態では、モータ42を制御して異常噛み込みの診断を実行する前に、リターンスプリング50のみにより弁体39が閉弁方向へ回動付勢されるときの、開度センサ49によるセンサ出力EGRdと全閉学習出力EGR0との差であるセンサ出力変化ΔEGRを算出し、そのセンサ出力変化ΔEGRが所定値E10(第2判定値)より小さい場合にEGR弁24が異物噛み込みに対して正常であると判定(正常診断)するように構成した。前記第2実施形態でも、この正常診断を実行するように構成することができる。

前記流量制御弁は、流路を含むハウジングと、前記流路に設けられた弁座と、前記弁座に着座可能に設けられた弁体と、前記流路は、前記弁座を境として上流側流路と下流側流路に分かれ、前記上流側流路に前記弁体が配置されることと、前記弁体を前記弁座に対して開閉駆動するための駆動手段と、前記弁体を弾性力により閉弁方向へ付勢するための閉弁付勢手段と、前記ハウジングに設けられ、前記弁座に対する前記弁体の開度を検出するための開度検出手段と、前記下流側流路から前記弁体を開弁させる方向へ作用する開弁圧力を検出するための開弁圧力検出手段とを備え、
前記制御装置は、前記弁体の全閉時に、前記開弁圧力に対抗して前記弁体を全閉状態に維持するために、前記検出される開弁圧力の大きさに応じた駆動力により前記駆動手段を駆動制御する

Claims (4)
- 流量制御弁の全閉時における異常を診断する全閉異常診断装置であって、
前記流量制御弁は、流路を含むハウジングと、前記流路に設けられた弁座と、前記弁座に着座可能に設けられた弁体と、前記弁体を前記弁座に対して開閉駆動するための駆動手段と、前記弁体を弾性力により閉弁方向へ付勢するための閉弁付勢手段と、前記ハウジングに設けられ、前記弁座に対する前記弁体の開度を検出するための開度検出手段とを備え、
前記全閉異常診断装置は、前記弁体の全閉時に、前記弁座と前記弁体との間に異物が噛み込まれる異物噛み込み異常を診断するための異常診断手段を備え、
前記異常診断手段は、前記弁体の全閉時に、前記閉弁付勢手段のみにより前記弁体が前記閉弁方向へ付勢されるときに、前記開度検出手段により検出される全閉検出値と所定の基準全閉検出値との検出差を所定の第1判定値より小さい所定の判定値と比較することにより前記流量制御弁に前記異物噛み込み異常の可能性があると判断した場合は、前記弁体を前記閉弁方向へ付勢するために前記駆動手段を駆動制御し、その駆動制御の際に前記開度検出手段により検出される前記全閉検出値と前記基準全閉検出値との前記検出差が前記第1判定値より大きい場合に、前記流量制御弁が前記異物噛み込み異常であると判定する
ことを特徴とする流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置。 - 前記異常診断手段は、前記流量制御弁が異物噛み込みに対して正常であると判定されない場合に、前記異物を除去するために、前記弁体を前記駆動手段により開弁及び閉弁させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置。
- 前記異常診断手段は、前記駆動手段を駆動制御するときに、前記駆動手段による出力を所定の上限値まで徐々に増加させるように前記駆動手段を駆動制御することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置。
- 前記流路は、前記弁座を境として上流側流路と下流側流路に分かれ、前記上流側流路に前記弁体が配置されることと、
前記下流側流路から前記弁体を開弁させる方向へ作用する開弁圧力を検出するための開弁圧力検出手段と
を更に備え、前記異常診断手段は、前記弁体の全閉時に、前記開弁圧力に対抗して前記弁体を全閉状態に維持するために、前記検出される開弁圧力の大きさに応じた駆動力により前記駆動手段を駆動制御することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の流量制御弁の全閉異常診断装置。
