Description

This disclosure relates to entrance doors.

Conventionally, there is known a door in which multiple design elements formed on the surface of the door body as long members by, for example, extruding aluminum are fixed to the door body by multiple design element fixing parts that penetrate the design elements (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

In the door described in Patent Document 1, the decorative component is fixed to the door surface by multiple decorative component fixing parts, making the process of attaching the decorative component cumbersome. Moreover, the decorative component fixing parts protrude from the door surface and are therefore easily noticeable. Furthermore, components such as aluminum extrusions are given a decorative look by providing a wrapping sheet on the surface, so the texture of the metal is easily visible on the surface. For this reason, conventional doors have room for improvement in terms of improving design.

Therefore, the inventors have discovered a problem: how to provide a front door that can further improve its design.

The entrance door according to the present disclosure comprises a door body that is openably and closably fitted inside a door frame provided at an opening in the building framework, and a glass plate that is bonded to the exterior side of the door body via an adhesive layer.

Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the entrance door 1 is installed inside a metal door frame 2 provided in a vertically elongated rectangular opening 101 in a building framework 100, and is capable of being opened and closed in both indoor and outdoor directions.

The door frame 2 is formed from a metal profile and is attached along the inner periphery of the opening 101. More specifically, the door frame 2 is framed in a rectangular shape by an upper door frame 21 that extends horizontally around the upper inner periphery of the opening 101, a lower door frame 22 that extends horizontally around the lower inner periphery of the opening 101, and a leading-side vertical door frame 23 and a hanging-side vertical door frame 24 that extend vertically around the left and right inner periphery of the opening 101. The upper door frame 21, leading-side vertical door frame 23, and hanging-side vertical door frame 24 are each formed in a hollow rectangular shape.

Ceramic exterior tiles 200 are attached to the exterior surface around the opening 101 of the building structure 100 using an adhesive or the like. The exterior tiles 200 are provided to cover the exterior sides 21a, 23a, 24a of the upper door frame 21, the door end vertical door frame 23, and the hanging vertical door frame 24, respectively, and are close to the front door 1. The exterior tiles 200 around the opening 101 are not limited to being made of ceramic, and may be made of metal, concrete, etc. Figure 1 shows the front door 1 as seen from the outside. In each figure, X1 indicates the outside side of the front door 1, and X2 indicates the inside side of the front door 1.

The entrance door 1 has a door body 3 that is placed inside the door frame 2, and a glass panel 4 as a decorative material that is provided on the exterior side of the door body 3. The door body 3 is attached to the vertical door frame 24 on the hanging side by a hinge 35 so that it can be opened and closed.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the door body 3 has a core material 31 that is framed in a rectangular shape around the four periphery of the door body 3, a metal exterior panel portion 32 that is provided on the exterior side of the core material 31, a metal interior panel portion 33 that is provided on the interior side of the core material 31, and a heat insulating material 34 that is provided in the space surrounded by the core material 31, the exterior panel portion 32, and the interior panel portion 33.

In this embodiment, the core material 31 is composed of a metal core material 311 and a resin core material 312 that is arranged to cover the outer periphery of the metal core material 311.

As shown in Figures 4 to 7, the metal core material 311 is composed of an upper metal core material 311a extending horizontally from the upper end of the door body 3, a lower metal core material 311b extending horizontally from the lower end of the door body 3, a door end metal core material 311c extending vertically from the door end side end of the door body 3, and a hanging base metal core material 311d extending vertically from the hanging base side end of the door body 3. These metal core materials 311a, 311b, 311c, and 311d are all formed in a U-shape and are framed in a rectangle so that the outer periphery forms a flat prospective surface.

As shown in Figs. 4 to 7, the resin core 312 includes an upper resin core 312a extending horizontally from the upper end of the door body 3, a lower resin core 312b extending horizontally from the lower end of the door body 3, and a hanging base resin core 312d extending vertically from the hanging base end of the door body 3. The upper resin core 312a, the lower resin core 312b, and the hanging base resin core 312d are all formed in a U-shape and are in close contact with the upper metal core 311a, the lower metal core 311b, and the hanging base metal core 311d so as to cover their outer surfaces, respectively, and are fixed to the metal cores 311a, 311b, and 311d by mounting screws SC1, SC2, and SC4, respectively. The hinge 35 is attached across the hanging base resin core 312d of the door body 3 and the hanging base vertical door frame 24 of the door frame 2, as shown in Fig. 3.

The metal core 311c of the door body 3 does not have a U-shaped resin core. Instead, as shown in Figures 3 and 6, resin cover materials 313a and 313b are attached individually to the exterior and interior sides of the metal core 311c of the door body 3.

In this way, the front door 1 has excellent insulation and moisture-proofing properties due to the insulation material 34, and also has insulation and moisture-proofing properties due to the resin core material 312 and resin cover materials 313a, 313b provided on the outer surface side of the metal core material 311 around the four sides of the door body 3, so it has even better insulation and moisture-proofing properties.

As shown in Figs. 2 to 7, the glass plate 4 has a size that covers the entire surface of the exterior panel portion 32 that constitutes the exterior side of the door body 3, and is adhered to the surface of the exterior panel portion 32 by an adhesive layer 5. Specifically, the glass plate 4 of this embodiment is adhered via an adhesive layer 5 so as to extend from the upper end to the lower end of the exterior panel portion 32 of the door body 3. The adhesive layer 5 may be composed of an adhesive applied to at least one of the back surface of the glass plate 4 and the surface of the exterior panel portion 32, or may be composed of a double-sided adhesive tape. The glass plate 4 of this embodiment has a size that substantially covers the entire surface of the exterior side of the door body 3 from the upper end to the lower end.

In this way, the glass plate 4 is fixed by being adhered to the door body 3 by the adhesive layer 5. Therefore, there is no need to use a fixing member that protrudes from the surface to fix the glass plate 4, as in the past. Moreover, since the surface texture of the front door 1 is expressed by the glass plate 4 itself, the front door 1 has a high design quality due to the texture of the glass plate 4. Furthermore, the difference in texture between the front door 1 and its surroundings makes the glass plate 4 of the front door 1 an accent, improving the design of not only the front door 1 but also the building.

As shown in FIG. 8, the glass plate 4 in this embodiment is made of laminated glass in which a decorative film 403 is laminated between two pieces of glass material, an exterior glass material 401 and an interior glass material 402. This further improves the design of the front door 1. The decorative film 403 is made of, for example, a wrapping sheet. The decorative film 403 may be formed with an appropriate design or pattern. The exterior glass material 401 is made of a transparent or translucent glass material that allows the decorative film 403 to be seen from the outside of the room.

As shown in Figures 4 to 7, an upper edge member 6, a lower edge member 7, a door end edge member 8, and a hanging edge member 9 are provided on the four sides of the glass plate 4, which cover the end faces 41a, 42a, 43a, and 44a of the glass plate 4, respectively. This protects the end faces 41a, 42a, 43a, and 44a of the glass plate 4, suppressing damage and improving the durability of the glass plate 4.

As shown in Figures 2 and 4, the upper edge member 6 is a thin, L-shaped metal fitting consisting of a surface abutment plate portion 61 and an attachment plate portion 62. The upper edge member 6 extends over almost the entire width of the door body 3.

The surface contact plate portion 61 contacts the upper surface of the glass plate 4, specifically, the surface 41b of the upper edge of the glass plate 4. The mounting plate portion 62 is integrally connected to the upper end of the surface contact plate portion 61, covers the end surface 41a, and extends toward the inside of the room.

The mounting plate 62 is fixed to the surface of the upper resin core 312a, which is the upper visible surface of the door body 3, by the mounting screw SC1. This fixes the upper edge member 6 to the door body 3.

The upper edge member 6 is formed in an L-shape by the surface abutment plate portion 61 and the mounting plate portion 62, so in addition to covering and protecting the end surface 41a, it also has the function of engaging and fixing the surface 41b of the upper edge of the glass plate 4 by the surface abutment plate portion 61. Therefore, the upper edge member 6 prevents damage to the end surface 41a of the glass plate 4, and fixes the upper side of the glass plate 4 to the door body 3, preventing the upper side of the glass plate 4 from peeling off from the door body 3.

As shown in Figures 2 and 5, the lower edge member 7 is a thin, L-shaped metal fitting consisting of a surface abutment plate portion 71 and an attachment plate portion 72. The lower edge member 7 extends over almost the entire width of the door body 3.

The surface abutment plate portion 71 abuts against the lower surface of the glass plate 4, specifically, the surface 42b of the lower edge of the glass plate 4.

The mounting plate portion 72 is integrally connected to the lower end of the surface abutment plate portion 71, covers the end face 42a, and extends in the front direction of the door body 3 toward the interior side. The mounting plate portion 72 is fixed to the surface of the lower resin core material 312b, which is the front surface of the lower side of the door body 3, by the mounting screw SC2. In this way, the lower edge member 7 is fixed to the door body 3.

The lower edge member 7 is formed in an L-shape by the surface abutment plate portion 71 and the mounting plate portion 72, so in addition to covering and protecting the end surface 42a, it also has the function of engaging and fixing the surface 42b of the lower edge of the glass plate 4 by the surface abutment plate portion 71. Therefore, like the upper edge member 6, the lower edge member 7 prevents damage to the end surface 42a of the glass plate 4, and fixes the underside of the glass plate 4 to the door body 3, preventing the underside of the glass plate 4 from peeling off from the door body 3.

As shown in Figures 3 and 6, the door end edge member 8 is made of a thin metal plate consisting of a surface abutment plate portion 81, an extension plate portion 82, a leg plate portion 83, and an attachment plate portion 84. The door end edge member 8 extends over almost the entire height of the door body 3.

The surface abutment plate portion 81 abuts against the leading edge surface of the glass plate 4, specifically, the surface 43b of the leading edge portion of the glass plate 4.

The extension plate portion 82 is integrally connected to the surface abutment plate portion 81 and extends flush with the surface abutment plate portion 81 toward the end of the door vertical door frame 23 so as to overlap the end of the door vertical door frame 23.

As shown in FIG. 3, the leading edge vertical door frame 23 has a step 23b recessed toward the interior at the corner of the exterior side surface 23a on the door body 3 side. The extension plate 82 extends from the surface abutment plate 81 toward the step 23b of the leading edge vertical door frame 23 and is housed within this step 23b. As a result, the extension plate 82 of the leading edge edge member 8 is positioned overlapping the leading edge vertical door frame 23. A sealing piece 821 protruding toward the interior is provided at the tip of the extension plate 82. The sealing piece 821 seals between the front door 1 and the leading edge vertical door frame 23 by abutting against the step 23b from the outside.

The leg plate portion 83 is integrally connected to the back surface of the front surface contact plate portion 81 and extends toward the inside of the room, covering the end surface 43a. The tip of the leg plate portion 83 contacts the surface of the resin cover material 312c1 on the outside of the room.

The mounting plate portion 84 extends from the extension plate portion 82 toward the interior side in the front direction of the door body 3. The mounting plate portion 84 is fixed to the surface of the leading edge metal core material 311c, which is the leading edge side front surface of the door body 3, by the mounting screw SC3. In this way, the leading edge member 8 is fixed to the door body 3.

The door-end edge member 8 is formed in a T-shape by the surface abutment plate portion 81, the extension plate portion 82, and the mounting plate portion 84. In addition to covering and protecting the small end surface 43a, the door-end edge member 8 also has the function of engaging and fixing the surface 43b of the door-end edge portion of the glass plate 4 with the surface abutment plate portion 81. Therefore, like the upper edge member 6 and the lower edge member 7, the door-end edge member 8 prevents damage to the small end surface 43a of the glass plate 4, and fixes the door-end side of the glass plate 4 to the door body 3 to prevent the door-end side of the glass plate 4 from peeling off from the door body 3. Moreover, since the surface abutment plate portion 81 and the extension plate portion 82 are provided flush with each other, the door-end edge member 8 does not protrude significantly when the door-end side of the entrance door 1 is viewed from the outside. Therefore, the design of the entrance door 1 is not impaired.

As shown in Figures 3 and 7, the hanging edge member 9 is composed of a thin, U-shaped metal fitting that covers the end surface 44a by sandwiching the hanging side of the glass plate 4 from the front and back. The hanging edge member 9 extends over almost the entire length of the door body 3 in the height direction. In detail, the hanging edge member 9 is composed of a front contact plate portion 91 that contacts the front surface 44b of the hanging edge portion of the glass plate 4, a back contact plate portion 92 that contacts the back surface 44c of the hanging edge portion of the glass plate 4, and a connecting plate portion 93 that covers the end surface 44a and connects the front contact plate portion 91 and the back contact plate portion 92. The hanging edge member 9 is fixed to the end surface 44a by, for example, double-sided adhesive tape 94 on the inner surface of the connecting plate portion 93.

The rear surface contact plate portion 92 has the same thickness as the adhesive layer 5. Therefore, there is no risk that the rear surface contact plate portion 92 will affect the fixation of the glass plate 4 by the adhesive layer 5. The rear surface of the hanging side of the glass plate 4 is supported by the rear surface contact plate portion 92, so the fixed state of the hanging side of the glass plate 4 is also stable.

In this way, the small end faces 41a, 42a, 43a, and 44a of the glass plate 4, which are generally easily damaged, are protected by the upper edge member 6, lower edge member 7, door end edge member 8, and hanging edge member 9, respectively, so that the damage to the glass plate 4 is maintained for a long period of time and durability is improved. Since the upper edge member 6, lower edge member 7, door end edge member 8, and hanging edge member 9 are thin plates, they do not protrude significantly from the surface of the entrance door 1, and the design of the entrance door 1 is not impaired. Furthermore, the upper edge member 6, lower edge member 7, and door end edge member 8 also have the function of locking the glass plate 4 and fixing it to the door body 3, so that the glass plate 4 is also prevented from peeling off. Since the glass plate 4 is bonded to the door body 3 by the adhesive layer 5, the surface abutment plate parts 61, 71, 81, and 91 of each edge member 6, 7, 8, and 9 can be formed as narrow as possible. This minimizes the impact that each edge member 6, 7, 8, and 9 has on the design of the front door 1.

The hanging edge member is not limited to being arranged to sandwich the hanging side of the glass plate 4 from the front and back. For example, as in the hanging edge member 9A shown in FIG. 9, it may be attached to the exterior side surface 31a of the core material 31 on the hanging side with, for example, double-sided adhesive tape 97.

As shown in FIG. 9, the hanging edge member 9A has an edge member body 95 made of a hollow rectangular material. The exterior side of the edge member body 95 extends toward the surface 44b of the hanging edge of the glass plate 4. This forms a surface abutment plate portion 96 that abuts against the surface 44b of the hanging edge of the glass plate 4. The hanging edge member 9A does not sandwich the glass plate 4 from the front and back, so the entire back surface of the glass plate 4 can be bonded with the adhesive layer 5. The hanging edge member 9A can be fixed to the hanging side of the door body 3 after the glass plate 4 is bonded to the door body 3, making the installation of the hanging edge member 9A easy.

As shown in Figure 1, the front door 1 has a handle 11 for opening and closing that extends vertically on the surface of the glass plate 4. As shown in Figures 10 and 11, cylinders 121, 121 of electric locks 12, 12 are disposed at the upper and lower ends of the handle 11, respectively.

Mounting holes 45, 45 for the cylinders 121, 121 are provided in the glass plate 4 in correspondence with the positions of the cylinders 121, 121. The mounting holes 45, 45 are through holes with a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the cylinders 121, 121. The cylinders 121, 121 are attached to the exterior plate portion 32, which is the exterior side surface of the door body 3, through the mounting holes 45, 45. With this configuration, the cylinders 121, 121 are not affected by the thickness of the glass plate 4 when they are attached to the door body 3, so existing products can be used as is.

Cylinder covers 13, 13 that cover the cylinders 121, 121 are attached to the upper and lower ends of the handle 11, respectively. The cylinder covers 13, 13 completely cover and conceal the cylinders 121, 121 and the mounting holes 45, 45. As a result, not only the cylinders 121, 121 but also the mounting holes 45, 45 are not visible from the outside of the room, and the design is not impaired.

The glass plate 4 of the entrance door 1 described above has a size that covers the entire exterior side of the door body 3. However, the glass plate 4 may be divided into multiple pieces in the surface direction of the exterior side of the door body 3. The glass plate 4 is not limited to being made of laminated glass, and may be made of only one glass plate.

Although not shown, glass panels having the same configuration as the glass panel 4 of the front door 1 may also be provided on the surfaces arranged around the periphery of the door body 3. For example, if the front door has a sleeve panel or sub-door at the front door end, the glass panel may be bonded to the entire exterior side of the sleeve panel and sub-door. Furthermore, the glass panel may be bonded to the surface of the door frame, or may be bonded to the interior side of the door body 3 in the same manner as the exterior side.
