Description

The present invention relates to a mounting structure for applying decorative materials to the exterior walls of a building.

Various decorative materials are applied to the exterior walls of buildings. For example, a strip-shaped decorative material called a decorative furring strip is used as a trim material to hide the boundary between the first and second floors of the exterior walls of a building. The decorative furring strip is not directly fixed to the exterior wall with screws or the like, but is attached to the exterior wall by engaging with a mounting bracket fixed to the exterior wall, concealing the mounting bracket so that the heads of the screws or the like are not visible from the outside.

As an example of such a mounting structure for decorative materials, Patent Document 1 describes a mounting structure for mounting an architectural exterior decorative panel to an exterior wall surface using mounting hardware, in which an engaging protrusion on the decorative panel is pushed from above into a receiving recess in the mounting hardware fixed to the building frame to fix the panel. Patent Document 2 also describes a mounting structure for mounting a decorative material to a building frame using mounting hardware, in which a hanging portion of the decorative material is inserted from above into a receiving portion of the mounting hardware with an opening facing upward.

特開平7-269067号公報Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 7-269067 特開2002-013286号公報JP 2002-013286 A

The mounting structure described in Patent Document 1 had the problem that it was not designed to forcibly prevent the decorative panel from moving up and down after it was attached.

In the mounting structure described in Patent Document 2, the receiving part of the mounting bracket has a tongue-shaped piece inside, and a protruding part on the hanging part of the decorative material is inserted into the receiving part over the tongue-shaped piece, thereby preventing the hanging part from slipping out upward from the receiving part after the decorative material is fixed to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket in Patent Document 1 has a shape suitable for manufacturing by extrusion molding of aluminum or the like, while the mounting bracket in Patent Document 2 is manufactured by pressing a stainless steel plate, and pressing makes it easy to form a tongue-shaped piece as a means for preventing the decorative material from slipping out. However, in the mounting structure in Patent Document 2, it is necessary to use a countersunk head screw so that the protruding part of the screw that fixes the mounting bracket to the building does not get in the way when the decorative material is installed, and the screw hole is tapered to embed the countersunk head, and the main plate is raised from the building exterior wall by the thickness of the tapered processing, which increases the manufacturing cost.

If more common pan head screws or the like are used to secure the mounting bracket to the building, the complicated machining of screw holes is unnecessary, but the location of the screw holes is limited to avoid interference between the screw head and the decorative material. In Patent Document 1, the screw holes are provided directly below the receiving part. In contrast, when manufacturing the mounting bracket by press processing as in Patent Document 2, in order to reduce the size of the mounting bracket while maintaining its strength, the upper receiving part is formed by punching out and bending its lower part, and a punched hole remains directly below the upper receiving part, making it impossible to form a screw hole.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above, and aims to provide a mounting structure for decorative materials that is equipped with a means for preventing the decorative materials from coming loose and can be installed using pan head screws, etc.

The mounting structure for a decorative material of the present invention is a mounting structure for mounting a decorative material to an exterior wall of a building using mounting brackets. The mounting brackets have a main plate, connecting parts extending forward from both left and right ends of the main plate, and an end plate extending from the front end of the connecting parts in the width direction approximately parallel to the main plate. The main plate has a first receiving part with an opening facing upward, and a screw hole for inserting a fastener. The end plate has a pressing part that presses the decorative material forward. The decorative material has a first hanging part that is inserted into the first receiving part from above, and is pressed forward by the pressing part when the first hanging part is inserted into the first receiving part.

Here, "front" refers to the direction opposite the building when the decorative materials and mounting hardware have been installed. In this specification, "rear" refers to the direction opposite to the front, and "up, down, left, right" refer to the directions as viewed from the front (outdoor side) when the decorative materials and mounting hardware have been installed.

Preferably, the mounting bracket is made of a single metal plate.

Preferably, the pressing portion is a tongue-shaped piece punched out from the end plate and protruding diagonally downward and forward.

According to the mounting structure for decorative materials of the present invention, the main plate of the mounting bracket is recessed one step rearward from the end plate, so that even if the main plate is fixed to the building with a pan head screw or the like, there is no interference with the head of the screw when the decorative material is attached. In particular, when the second hanging portion is provided below the first hanging portion, and the mounting bracket has a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion corresponding to the hanging portion, there is a risk of the second hanging portion on the lower side interfering with the screw head, and the structure of the present invention is particularly effective. In addition, when the first hanging portion is inserted into the first receiving portion, the first hanging portion is pressed forward by the pressing portion and is clamped between the first receiving portion and the inner wall in front of the first receiving portion, so that the first hanging portion is prevented from slipping out upward from the first receiving portion.

1 is a cross-sectional view showing a mounting structure for a decorative material according to one embodiment of the present invention. 1A is a front view, B is a bottom view, and C is a right side view of a mounting bracket in one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a vertical cross-sectional view of a decorative material in one embodiment of the present invention.

With reference to FIG. 1, an embodiment of the mounting structure 10 for a decorative material will be described. The decorative material of this embodiment is a decorative girth. The decorative material 30 is installed so as to hide the boundary between the exterior wall 42 of the first floor of the building and the exterior wall 43 of the second floor of the building. First, the mounting bracket 20 is fixed to the building frame 41 using fasteners such as screws 44 and attached to the exterior wall surface 40 of the building. The decorative material 30 is engaged with the mounting bracket by inserting the hanging parts 32, 33 into the receiving parts 22, 24 of the mounting bracket from above. Since the decorative material hides the entire mounting bracket, the mounting bracket is not visible from the outside after installation. A waterproof material may be applied to the upper back side of the decorative material 30 to seal the gap with the exterior surface of the building.

Referring to FIG. 2, the mounting bracket 20 has a main body plate 21, left and right connecting portions 27, 27, and left and right end plates 28, 28. The connecting portions extend forward from both left and right end portions of the main body plate. The end plates extend widthwise from the front ends of the left and right connecting portions to the left and right outside.

The main body plate 21 is a flat portion fixed to the building exterior wall surface 40, and is provided with a first receiving portion 22 and a second receiving portion 24 with openings facing upward. The upper first receiving portion is formed by punching out a portion of the main body plate into a substantially rectangular shape, leaving only the upper edge, and then bending the portion. A punched hole 23 remains on the lower side of the first receiving portion. The lower second receiving portion is formed by punching out a portion of the main body plate into a substantially rectangular shape, leaving only the lower edge, and then bending the portion. A punched hole 25 remains on the upper side of the second receiving portion. Both the first receiving portion and the second receiving portion have openings facing upward, into which the first hanging portion 32 and the second hanging portion 33 of the decorative material 30 are inserted.

The number of receiving parts may be one, but preferably two receiving parts are provided, one above the other. This is because the posture of the engaged decorative material 30 is stable. Furthermore, the problem of interference with the screw head is likely to occur when there are two or more hanging parts in the vertical direction and two or more corresponding receiving parts. Therefore, the mounting structure of this embodiment is particularly preferably applied when the decorative material has two or more hanging parts in the vertical direction and the mounting bracket has two or more corresponding receiving parts.

The main body plate 21 has screw holes 26 for fastening devices. Preferably, two or more screw holes are provided. This is because the position of the mounting bracket 20 is stable when it is fixed to the building. There are no particular limitations on the locations where the screw holes are provided. The shape of the screw holes does not require taper processing or the like, and they can simply be punched holes.

The connecting parts 27, 27 extend forward from both the left and right ends of the main plate 21.

The end plates 28, 28 extend from the front ends of the left and right connecting parts to the left and right outside in the width direction. The end plates are parallel to the main plate 21. Note that "parallel" does not mean exactly that, but rather roughly parallel.

The end plate 28 is provided with a pressing portion 29 that presses the decorative material 30 forward. The pressing portion is preferably a tongue-shaped piece that is punched out of a portion of the end plate, leaving the upper edge, into a substantially rectangular shape and then bent to protrude diagonally downward toward the front. The pressing portions are located on both sides of the first receiving portion 22 and on both sides of the second receiving portion 24. The pressing portions elastically press the hanging portions 32, 33 of the decorative material inserted into the receiving portions 22, 24 forward, pressing them against the inner wall in front of the receiving portions. This ensures that the decorative material 30 engaged with the mounting bracket 20 is firmly fixed without rattling. In addition, since the tongue-shaped piece of the pressing portion protrudes diagonally downward toward the front from the end plate, it is possible to prevent the hanging portion from moving upward once inserted into the receiving portion.

When the mounting bracket 20 is viewed as a whole, due to the shapes of the main plate 21, the connecting portion 27, and the end plate 28, the main plate portion is recessed one step rearward from the end plate. If the depth of the recess, i.e., the distance between the front surface of the main plate and the front surface of the end plate in the direction perpendicular to the exterior wall of the building, is greater than the amount by which the head of the screw 44 protrudes from the front surface of the main plate, then when the decorative material 30 is attached, the rearmost part of the back surface of the decorative material (the part closest to the building) will always be forward of the head of the screw, and the two will not interfere with each other. For screws commonly used at construction sites, the head of the screw protrudes less than 3 mm from the front surface of the main plate, so the depth of the recess is preferably 3 to 5 mm.

The mounting bracket 20 is preferably made of a single metal plate and is formed by pressing. There are no particular limitations on the type of metal as long as it is press-workable, and for example, steel plate, stainless steel plate, aluminum plate, etc. can be used. If the mounting bracket is formed from a single metal plate, there is no risk of a decrease in strength due to deterioration of the joint. Furthermore, forming the mounting bracket by pressing makes it easier to form the pressing portion 29 in particular. Press processing includes cutting, punching, drilling, notching, bending, folding, etc.

The overall outline of the mounting bracket 20 is preferably, for example, approximately rectangular, without any missing or protruding parts. This is because it is less likely to deform when handled. Also, in order to reduce the size while maintaining the required strength, it is preferable that the punched holes remain toward the center of the receiving part. In other words, it is preferable that the punched hole 23 for forming the upper first receiving part 22 remains below the first receiving part, and the punched hole 25 for forming the lower second receiving part 24 remains above the second receiving part.

Referring to FIG. 3, the decorative material 30 is a long member with a uniform cross section that extends in a direction perpendicular to the paper surface of FIG. 3. The decorative material 30 has a design surface 31 that appears on the exterior after construction as the front side, and a first hanging portion 32 and a second hanging portion 33 that protrude from the back side and extend downward. The first hanging portion and the second hanging portion are inserted from above into the first receiving portion 22 and the second receiving portion 24 of the mounting bracket 20, respectively. The decorative material is usually made of an inorganic material, and is preferably made of a cement-based extrusion molding with a specific gravity of about 0.75 to 2.0. The decorative material 30 can be inserted from above into the receiving portions 22 and 24 by placing the hanging portions 32 and 33 against the end plate 28 of the mounting bracket fixed to the building exterior wall surface 40 and moving them downward along the end plate.

The decorative material mounting structure of the present invention is applicable to decorative materials such as trims, decorative girder panels, fascias, and gables that are used on the exterior walls of general residential buildings.

Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the technical concept.

For example, an example of a mounting bracket is shown in Figure 2 of the above embodiment, but since there is no restriction on the position of the screw holes 26 of the mounting bracket used in the present invention, the vertical length may be further shortened. This allows it to be used in combination with decorative materials with a narrower vertical width.
