The present invention relates to housing.

Figure 1 of Patent Document 1 shows a floor plan of the first floor of a house. The first floor of the house shown in Figure 1 of Patent Document 1 includes an entrance, a living/dining room, a kitchen, a washroom, a bathroom, and a toilet. Furthermore, the first floor of the house shown in Figure 1 of Patent Document 1 includes a living room adjacent to the south side of the kitchen, which is used as a place for children to stay. The flooring of the living room is made of a highly flexible material. A study desk for children is also provided in the living room. There is no partition wall between the living room and the kitchen. An opening is formed over the entire boundary between the living room and the kitchen, and it is possible to enter and exit between the kitchen and the living room through this opening. The opening is also provided with a lattice door that opens and closes the opening. This lattice door is a sliding door, and serves as a ventilation section that connects the kitchen and the living room.

Patent document 1 also describes that it is possible to monitor children playing in the living room while doing housework in the kitchen, and that because sounds from the living room are more likely to reach the kitchen, it is easier to keep track of what the children are doing.
Patent Document 1 also describes that the east side of the living room is adjacent to the living room, that there is no partition wall between the living room and the living room, that multiple storage shelves are lined up along the boundary between the living room and the living room, and that this storage wall separates the living room and the living room so that no one can enter or exit from there.
Furthermore, Patent Document 1 describes that by closing the lattice door when guests come over, even if a child leaves toys scattered around the living room, they can be left as they are.

Incidentally, in the house described in Patent Document 1, although it is assumed that the living room will be used as a place for children to stay, it does not take into consideration how the living room will be used before children are born or after they have grown up.
Therefore, in the house described in Patent Document 1, there is a risk that the living room will become wasted space that is not used effectively before the child is born or after the child has grown up.

FIG. 1 of Patent Document 2 shows an apartment house with dwelling units for multiple households. In the apartment house shown in FIG. 1 of Patent Document 2, each dwelling unit has a large living space as the main dwelling unit and a small living space as the secondary dwelling unit. The layout of the main dwelling unit is a 2LDK with an LDK and two Western-style rooms. The kitchen area of the LDK is a face-to-face kitchen. Each Western-style room is equipped with a movable partition storage unit.
Incidentally, the main dwelling unit described in Patent Document 1 does not take into consideration how the Western-style room will be used by children and the like.
Therefore, in the main dwelling unit described in Patent Document 1, there is a risk that the Western-style room will become wasted space that is not used effectively.

In view of the above problems, the present invention aims to provide a house equipped with a space that can be used as a diaper changing room for babies, as a playroom for babies, as a study room for schoolchildren, as a hobby space for adults before the birth of a child or after the child has grown up, as a bedroom for guests, and as an isolation space for infectious disease patients.

One aspect of the present invention is a home comprising a living-dining-kitchen having a living space, a dining space, and a kitchen space, a blank space located adjacent to the living-dining-kitchen, and a sliding door located at the boundary between the living-dining-kitchen and the blank space, wherein the floor of the blank space is constructed by laying flooring material, the shape of the blank space is a rectangle formed by arranging two adjacent tatami mats with the long sides touching each other , and the blank space is equipped with a storage section capable of storing a folded futon.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the surplus space may be located adjacent to the kitchen space.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the house may be divided into a 3LDK, having a first living room, a second living room, and a third living room in addition to the living/dining/kitchen area and the spare space.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the house may be two stories tall, the living/dining/kitchen room and the spare space may be located on one of the first and second floors, and the first, second and third rooms may be located on the other of the first and second floors.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the storage unit may be located on one of the short sides of the rectangle.

In one embodiment of the present invention, the storage unit may be a hanging storage unit.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a house equipped with a space that can be used as a diaper changing room for babies, as a playroom for babies, as a study room for schoolchildren, as a hobby space for adults before the birth of a child or after the child has grown up, as a bedroom for guests, and as an isolation space for infectious disease patients.

Before describing the embodiment of the house of the present invention, the results of intensive research conducted by the inventors will be described.

The inventors conducted a survey on the attitudes towards building a house, focusing on dual-income couples in their late 20s to early 30s, whose home ownership rate is on the rise. The background to this survey is the recent change in the image of dual-income families. It is assumed that there is a certain number of dual-income couples today who "purchase a home when they have their first child around age 30."
The survey revealed that dual-income couples in this demographic are keenly aware of the benefits of paying off their mortgage before retirement, and are keen to build a home early and live in it for a long time. On the other hand, dual-income couples in this demographic are also aware of the disadvantages of early construction, such as the difficulty of determining the layout of the home because the lifestyle is not yet determined at the time of construction. Given this background, one solution would be to secure a blank space (multipurpose space) of about 3 tatami mats that can be used for various purposes next to the kitchen where the parents can keep an eye, and use it flexibly.

In the survey, hurdles cited for couples continuing to work include "how to respond when a child suddenly falls ill" and "working reduced hours to raise children is a hindrance to promotion." Meanwhile, a fairly small percentage of couples chose "spouse not participating much in housework and childcare." The premise is that couples will support each other in childrearing and housework, and regardless of the difference in annual income between couples, a high percentage of couples agree that wives should continue working.
For dual-income couples in the aforementioned demographic, the most common reason that prompted them to build a home was "because they started thinking about the future after getting married, becoming pregnant, and having a child."
When asked about the benefits felt by dual-income couples in the aforementioned demographic of building a home early, the most common answer was "paying off the mortgage before I retire." Meanwhile, there was a high proportion of people expressing vague concerns about the future, such as "Will I be able to make ends meet on my pension after I retire and no longer work?" There was also a sense of wanting to build a home with an eye to the future, with people feeling that the value of a long-lasting home is being able to live in it well into retirement. On the other hand, when asked about the disadvantages of building a home early, it was found that people were worried about building a home when there are many uncertainties about their lifestyle, such as "I'm not sure what stage of life I'll be, so I don't know what kind of floor plan I'd like."

In some cases, it may be difficult to secure an additional room (specifically, a room of 4.5 tatami mats or more) in addition to the living/dining/kitchen area. The inventors also thought that it was important to resolve the anxiety felt by dual-income couples in the above-mentioned demographic about "building a house when their lifestyle is not yet determined" through design. In such cases, the inventors discovered through extensive research that it would be possible to accommodate any lifestyle by placing a blank space of about 3 to 4 tatami mats that compactly combines living and storage space adjacent to the living/dining/kitchen area (for example, the kitchen space).
In other words, through intensive research, the inventors have discovered that by placing a blank space of about 3 to 4 tatami mats adjacent to the living, dining, and kitchen area, toys will not be scattered throughout the living space when children are toddlers, keeping the living space neat and tidy, and allowing the residents to make creative use of the blank space for a long time as the children get older.

Next, an embodiment of the house of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.

First Embodiment
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an example of a house 1 according to a first embodiment. In detail, FIG. 1(A) shows an example of a main part of the house 1 according to the first embodiment, and FIG. 1(B) shows an example of the shape of a marginal space 12 of the house 1. FIG. 2 is a three-dimensional view of the marginal space 12 shown in FIG. 1(A) from the ceiling side. The house 1 is an industrialized house having a planar module (unit size) of 305 mm, and the walls (peripheral walls and partition walls) that define the planar shape of the outer hull of the house and the planar shape of the internal space are set on the module core, and the distance between the reference line of the arrangement of a given wall and the reference line of the opposing wall is an integer multiple of the planar module.

In yet another example, the length of the long side of the rectangle that indicates the shape of the margin space 12 (see Figure 1 (B)) may be greater than three times the length of the short side of the tatami mat (see Figure 1 (B)) and less than four times the length of the short side of the tatami mat.
In the example shown in FIG. 2, the length of the long side of the rectangle representing the shape of the margin space 12 is set to 2745 mm (or 2745 mm to 3660 mm), and the length of the short side of the rectangle is set to 1830 mm.

In the example shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the blank space 12 is provided with a storage section 12A. The storage section 12A can store a folded mattress. The storage section 12A is arranged on one short side (the upper short side in Fig. 1(B)) of the rectangle that defines the blank space 12. Therefore, the shape of the portion of the blank space 12 where the storage section 12A is not arranged can be made close to a square. The other short side (the lower short side in Fig. 1(B)) of the rectangle that defines the blank space 12 is entirely formed by a wall surface. Therefore, a place for placing furniture and the like can be secured, and the blank space 12 can be used as a multipurpose space.
In another example, the storage section 12A may be arranged on the long side of a rectangle that defines the shape of the blank space 12.
In the example shown in Figs. 1 and 2, one long side of the rectangle that defines the blank space 12 (the long side on the left side in Fig. 1B) is entirely formed by a wall surface.
In another example, one of the long sides of the rectangle that defines the shape of the margin space 12 (the long side on the left side of Figure 1 (B)) may be formed by a wall in an area of approximately 1,800 mm to 2,000 mm, and windows or the like may be arranged in the remaining portion.

In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, the storage section 12A is a hanging storage. Therefore, the space below the storage section 12A (hanging storage) can be used as a storage (cleaning) space for children's toys, etc., or as a play area for children. The effective depth dimension of the storage section 12A is set to 700 [mm], and the effective width dimension is set to 1000 [mm] or more (a dimension that can store a futon folded in three).
In another example, the storage section 12A does not have to be a hanging storage section. In this example, the effective depth dimension of the storage section 12A is set to 700 [mm], and the effective width dimension is set to 1000 [mm] or more.

In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, the blank space 12 further includes a vertical slit window 12B. The vertical slit window 12B is located on the left side (left side in Figures 1(A) and 2) of the hanging storage (storage section 12A). The vertical slit window 12B is configured to open from the vicinity of the floor surface (i.e., the vertical slit window 12B is a sweeping window). Therefore, ventilation near the floor surface can be ensured. As a result, it is expected that it will be easier to put an infant to sleep.
In another example, the vertical slit window 12B may be located on the right side of the hanging storage (storage section 12A).
In yet another example, the margin space 12 may be provided with a ground window 12C (see FIG. 6B) arranged below the hanging storage (storage section 12A). In this example, the width dimension of the hanging storage (storage section 12A) can be increased.

1 and 2, the sliding door 13 is disposed at the boundary between the living/dining/kitchen room 11 and the blank space 12. In detail, the sliding door 13 is disposed on one long side (the long side on the right side in FIG. 1(B)) of the rectangle (see FIG. 1(B)) that represents the shape of the blank space 12.
The sliding door 13 is either a sliding door, a double sliding door, or a separate sliding door. The effective opening width W (see FIG. 1A) of the sliding door 13 when open is 1600 mm or more. In other words, the marginal space 12 can be said to be a small, hollow space connected to the living-dining-kitchen 11. Therefore, the marginal space 12 can be used integrally with the living-dining-kitchen 11. Also, the air conditioned in the living-dining-kitchen 11 can be introduced into the marginal space 12.
In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, the sliding door 13 is not a suspended sliding door (i.e., a rail or groove exists in the floor).
In another example, the sliding door 13 may be a hanging sliding door (i.e., no rail or groove exists in the floor). In an example where the sliding door 13 is a hanging sliding door, it is possible to easily move objects on the boundary between the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the marginal space 12. For example, an infant can easily move on the boundary between the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the marginal space 12 with a walker. It is also possible to easily change the use of the marginal space 12 (i.e., rearrange the marginal space 12). It is also possible to easily clean the floor surface on the boundary between the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the marginal space 12. In addition, a child in the infant stage can play with play equipment or the like across the marginal space 12 from the marginal space 12 to the living-dining-kitchen 11. In addition, a mother in the living-dining-kitchen 11 can take care of an infant lying down in the marginal space 12.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example of how the blank space 12 is used.
In the example shown in Fig. 3(A), it is assumed that the residents of the house 1 are a 30-year-old parent and a 0-year-old child, and the spare space 12 is used as a room for changing the child's diapers. In detail, four tatami mats are laid on the flooring material of the spare space 12, and a baby futon is laid on top of the tatami mats. The child's diaper is changed on the baby futon.

3D, the residents of the house 1 are assumed to be a 40-year-old parent and two children (older brother and younger sister) aged 10 and 7, and the spare space 12 is used as a study room for the children. In detail, a desk and a bookshelf are placed on the flooring of the spare space 12, and the 10-year-old child (older brother) is doing his homework at the desk.
In the examples shown in FIGS. 3(A) to 3(D), the blank space 12 is effectively used by the child over a long period of time from infancy to childhood.
In the example shown in FIG. 3(E), the residents of house 1 are assumed to be a 45-year-old parent and two children aged 15 and 12, and the spare space 12 is used as a hobby space for the adults.
In detail, a PC (personal computer) desk and a bookshelf are placed on the flooring material in the blank space 12, and the mother is operating a PC placed on the PC desk.
That is, in the example shown in FIG. 3(E), the vacant space 12 can be effectively utilized as a shared space for the family and as a hobby space for adults for a long period of time after the children have grown up.

Fig. 4 is a diagram for explaining the relationship between the mother in the kitchen space 11C of the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the child in the blank space 12. In detail, Fig. 4(A) is a diagram showing an example of the relationship between the mother in the kitchen space 11C of the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the child in the blank space 12, which corresponds to the time period shown in Fig. 3(B). Fig. 4(B) is a diagram showing an example of the relationship between the mother in the kitchen space 11C of the living-dining-kitchen 11, the child (older brother) in the blank space 12, and the child (younger sister) in the dining space 11B of the living-dining-kitchen 11, which corresponds to the time period shown in Fig. 3(D).
In the example shown in Fig. 4(A), a child in the vacant space 12 calls out to his mother in the kitchen space 11C of the living-dining-kitchen 11. The mother responds to the child's call while looking into his eyes. In other words, when a child in the vacant space 12 calls out to his mother in the kitchen space 11C, the mother can immediately interact with the child.
In the example shown in Fig. 4B, an older child in the blank space 12 and a younger child in the dining space 11B are calling out to their mother in the kitchen space 11C. The mother responds to the two children's calls by looking alternately into their eyes. For example, if the older child in the blank space 12 is having trouble with his homework or studying, such as reading aloud, the mother can immediately see where he is having trouble.
In the example shown in Figure 4 (A) and Figure 4 (B), even when the mother in the kitchen space 11C is preparing a meal, the child is naturally within the parent's field of vision, so the mother can keep an eye on the child. Also, children who want to be close to their mother can play and learn near her, so they can live in peace. In other words, the blank space 12 becomes a comfortable place for children to live.

Fig. 5 is a diagram for explaining some of the effects of the house 1 of the first embodiment. In detail, Fig. 5(A) shows an example of the floor plan of a conventional general house, and Fig. 5(B) shows an example of the floor plan of the house 1 of the first embodiment.
In the example shown in Figure 5 (A), a 20-tatami living/dining/kitchen room (LDK) is provided in the house. Toys tend to be left out in the LDK, and the living/dining room (LD) tends to be untidy. For children, the living/dining room (LD) is also a place for naps, play, and study.
In the example shown in FIG. 5B, the house 1 is provided with a 16-tatami living/dining/kitchen (LDK) 11 and a 4-tatami blank space 12. In a house 1 with a total floor area (calculated by column center) of about 30 tsubo, which is assumed to be used by a family of four (parents and two children), the living/dining/kitchen 11 is functionally sufficient at 16 tatami. Since futons, toys, study materials, etc. can be stored together in the blank space 12, the living/dining/kitchen 11 can be kept neat and tidy. If the living/dining/kitchen 11 can be kept tidy, it will not feel cramped even if it is 16 tatami. In other words, by providing the blank space 12 in the house 1, the living/dining/kitchen 11 can be made into an easy-to-use space. For children, the blank space 12 can also be used as a place to take a nap, play, and study.

As described above, in the house 1 of the first embodiment, the marginal space 12 is adjacent to the living-dining-kitchen 11, and the effective opening width W of the sliding door 13 disposed at the boundary between the living-dining-kitchen 11 and the marginal space 12 when open is 1600 mm or more. Therefore, the marginal space 12 can be used as a place for an infant or toddler child to be watched by their mother in the living-dining-kitchen 11.
The floor of the blank space 12 is constructed by laying flooring material.
Therefore, the blank space 12 can be used as a diaper changing room for the baby and as a playroom for the toddler. Also, the blank space 12 can be easily used for changing purposes (redecorating the blank space 12).
The blank space 12 is as large as three or four tatami mats lined up. Therefore, the blank space 12 can be used as a hobby space for adults before children are born or after children grow up. The blank space 12 can also be used as a study room for schoolchildren.
In addition, a storage section 12A capable of storing a folded mattress is provided in the spare space 12. Therefore, the spare space 12 can be used as a guest bedroom when guests come over. The spare space 12 can also be used as an isolation space for infectious disease patients.
In other words, the blank space 12 can be effectively utilized over a long period of time, including the period before the child is born and after the child grows up.

In addition, in one example of the house 1 of the first embodiment, the spare space 12 is located adjacent to the kitchen space 11C of the living-dining-kitchen 11. Therefore, a mother using the kitchen space 11C can easily monitor her infant or toddler child using the spare space 12.

In addition, in one example of the house 1 of the first embodiment, the storage section 12A provided in the blank space 12 is a hanging storage. Therefore, as shown in the example of FIG. 3(A), for example, items can be placed in the space below the storage section 12A, and sufficient free-use space can be secured within the blank space 12.

In addition, in one example of the house 1 of the first embodiment, a vertical slit window 12B is provided in the blank space 12. Therefore, light of an appropriate intensity can be taken into the blank space 12.

The house 1 of the first embodiment includes a living/dining/kitchen room 11 and a spare space 12, as well as a first room (not shown), a second room (not shown), and a third room (not shown), and is divided into a 3LDK. In the example shown in Figure 6 (A), a house 1 is divided into 3LDK, for example, having a living-dining-kitchen (LDK) 11, a spare space 12, a sliding door 13, a bathroom/washing space 15, a hand-washing space 17, an entrance space 18, and a staircase space 19.
The living-dining-kitchen room 11 has a living space 11A, a dining space 11B, and a kitchen space 11C. The kitchen space 11C is equipped with a counter-style kitchen 11C1. The living-dining-kitchen room 11 is rectangular in shape.
The length of the long side of the rectangle that defines the shape of the living-dining-kitchen 11 is set to 7,320 mm, and the length of the short side of the rectangle is set to 3,660 mm.

In the example shown in FIG. 9(A), one of the long sides of the rectangle defining the shape of the margin space 12 is in contact with the long side of the rectangle defining the shape of the living-dining-kitchen area 11.
The blank space 12 is provided with a storage section 12A capable of storing a folded mattress. The storage section 12A is disposed on one short side (the lower short side in FIG. 9(A)) of the rectangular shape of the blank space 12. The storage section 12A is a hanging storage.

FIG. 9B shows the first floor of a two-story house 1 according to the eighth application example.
In the example shown in FIG. 9B, the outer shape of the entire building of house 1 is a rectangle with one side measuring 9150 mm and the other side perpendicular to the first side measuring 5490 mm.
The house 1 is divided into 3LDK units, for example, and includes a living/dining/kitchen (LDK) 11, a spare space 12, a sliding door 13, a bathroom/washing space 15, a hand washing space 17, an entrance space 18, and a staircase space 19.

In the example shown in Figure 10, a house 1 is divided into 3LDK, for example, having a living-dining-kitchen (LDK) 11, a spare space 12, a sliding door 13, a bathroom/washing space 15, a hand-washing space 17, an entrance space 18, and a staircase space 19.
The living-dining-kitchen room 11 has a living space 11A, a dining space 11B, and a kitchen space 11C. The kitchen space 11C is equipped with a counter-style kitchen 11C1. The living-dining-kitchen room 11 is rectangular in shape.

The entrance space 18 includes an entrance floor 18A, an entrance hall 18B, and an entrance door 18C. The length of each side of the square that represents the shape of the space formed by combining the entrance floor 18A and the entrance hall 18B is set to 1830 mm.
The stairwell space 19 is equipped with a U-turn staircase. The length of each side of the square that defines the shape of the stairwell space 19 is set to 1830 mm.

Second Embodiment
A second embodiment of the house of the present invention will now be described.
The house 1 of the second embodiment is configured similarly to the house 1 of the first embodiment described above, except for the points described below. Therefore, the house 1 of the second embodiment can achieve the same effects as the house 1 of the first embodiment described above, except for the points described below.

In the first embodiment of the house 1, for example, a living/dining/kitchen (LDK) 11, a spare space 12, a sliding door 13, a bathroom/washing space 15, and a hand-washing space 17 are arranged on the first floor of the two-story house 1, and a first living room, a second living room, a third living room, etc. are arranged on the second floor of the two-story house 1.
On the other hand, in the second embodiment of the house 1, for example, the living/dining/kitchen room 11, the space 12, the sliding door 13, the bathroom/washing space 15, and the hand washing space 17 are arranged on the second floor of the two-story house 1, and the first living room, second living room, third living room, etc. are arranged on the first floor of the two-story house 1.

As described above, in the first and second embodiments of the house 1, the spare space 12 can be effectively utilized as a place for children to stay when watching over or interacting with them, such as when parents are doing housework such as cooking while watching over a sleeping baby, watching over a toddler playing with toys, or talking to schoolchildren doing their homework.
Therefore, in the house 1 of the first and second embodiments, it is possible to reduce the risk of bedding and toys being left behind in excess space in the living-dining-kitchen area 11.
In addition, in the house 1 of the first and second embodiments, it is possible to avoid the trouble of having to move bedding and toys placed in the living-dining-kitchen 11 when cleaning the living-dining-kitchen 11 or when guests come over.
In addition, in the houses 1 of the first and second embodiments, children can study in the spare space 12, which makes it possible to avoid a situation in which the child's study materials must be put away on the dining table.
That is, in the house 1 of the first and second embodiments, which is two-story and has an area of about 102m2, even if the family has children from infancy to school age, it is possible to prevent the living-dining-kitchen room 11 from becoming cluttered and reduce the effort required to tidy up the living-dining-kitchen room 11. As the children grow up and become less dependent on the parents, and as the parents have more free time, the parents can effectively use the spare space 12 for hobbies or for working from home.
That is, in the house 1 of the first and second embodiments, the surplus space 12 can be effectively utilized for a long period of time.

Although the above describes the form for carrying out the present invention using the embodiments, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments in any way, and various modifications and substitutions can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. The configurations described in the above-mentioned embodiments and examples may be combined as appropriate.
