Description

This invention relates to a fence in which the side ends of the fence panels are connected at any angle.

Generally, for fences that are installed along the boundary between one property or another, various methods have been proposed for connecting fence panels, especially at the corners. For example, connecting members are extended laterally from the side ends of the panels to connect them together, or connecting members are extended from the side ends of the panels and connected with connecting members. In the former, the connecting members are supported at their joints, and in the latter, the connecting members are supported at both ends of the connecting members.

For the latter, for example, a dimensional adjustment device for a partition wall has been proposed in which a groove-shaped section with a roughly U-shaped cross section extends from the shaft of a first hinge member pivoted to the side end of a vertically long wall element, a slide piece extends from the shaft of a second hinge member pivoted to the opposing side end face of the wall element adjacent to the wall element, the slide piece is slidably inserted into the groove-shaped section, and a screw whose tip can be pressed against the slide piece is screwed into the outer surface of the groove-shaped section (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The applicant has also proposed a fence in which multiple fence panels attached to posts erected on the ground at appropriate intervals are connected horizontally via connecting members, the connecting members being rotatably connected to both sides of a vertically elongated base plate via fittings to which panel mounting members are attached, and a cover portion having a U-shape in cross section formed on the panel mounting member is attached to cover the side end of the fence panel, the cover portion being attached to the fence panel so as to be slidable in the vertical direction, and the downward sliding of the cover portion is prevented by an end member provided at the upper end of the panel mounting member (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

実公昭59-3111号公報Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-3111 特開2009-1968号公報JP 2009-1968 A

Incidentally, it is preferable for the corners of a fence to have a structure that absorbs various dimensional errors that occur during construction, and the aforementioned dimension adjustment device has an interlocking structure between a grooved section and a sliding piece that can be fixed with a screw, making it easy to install. However, simply screwing in the screws may result in the screws loosening over time. On the other hand, the aforementioned connecting member has a base material formed from a single member, so the errors that can be absorbed by the dimension adjustment work are relatively small.

The present invention aims to solve the problems mentioned above and provide a fence equipped with corner members that are easy to adjust in size and less likely to come loose.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has the following configuration. That is, the fence according to the present invention is a fence in which fence panels are connected to each other via corner members, the corner members having front and rear plate portions overlapping in the front-rear direction, the side end of the front plate portion is rotatably connected to one fence panel, and the side end of the rear plate portion is rotatably connected to the other fence panel, the front and rear plate portions are fastened by a fastening device, the fastening device has a head, a root portion, and a screw portion, and includes a screw member that is inserted into a hole that penetrates the front and rear plate portions in the front and rear directions, a spring member that is inserted into the screw portion, and a nut member that is screwed into the screw portion, the spring member has a folded portion whose upper end is folded back so that it can be engaged with the root portion, and a folded portion whose lower end is folded in the same direction as the folded portion, and the folded portion and the folded portion are each capable of abutting against the rear plate portion.

In the fence according to the present invention, the corner root of the screw member may have a flange on the side of the screw member that is larger than the corner root.

According to the present invention, the front and rear panels allow for good dimensional adjustment in the width direction, and the fastening device allows the front and rear panels to be firmly connected.

Next, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing one embodiment of a fence according to the present invention, where (a) is a plan view and (b) is a front view. In the drawing, 10 is a fence panel, and 20 is a corner member that connects the fence panels 10 to each other. In the fence 100 according to the present invention, the fence panels 10 are connected to each other via the corner members 20. Here, the horizontal direction is the same direction as the width direction of the fence panel 10 in FIG. 1, and the vertical direction is the same direction as the vertical direction in FIG. 1. In addition, the front-rear direction is the front-rear direction in FIG. 1, when the fence panel 10 is used as the boundary, and the side where the support 30 for mounting the fence panel 10 is installed is the rear side, and the opposite side is the front side.

The fence panel 10 is made up of flat panel material 12 attached to a rectangular frame 11, and in this embodiment, multiple panels are connected horizontally and stacked vertically in two layers, and are attached to supports 30 erected on the installation surface. As shown in FIG. 1(a), the fence panels 10 arranged in the left-right direction and the fence panels 10 arranged in the up-down direction are connected via corner members 20.

2 is an explanatory diagram of the corner member 20 in FIG. 1, where (a) is a partially enlarged view of the vicinity of the corner member 20 in (a) of FIG. 1, and (b) is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the corner member 20. The corner member 20 is arranged with a vertical front plate portion 21 and a rear plate portion 22 overlapping in the front-rear direction. The front plate portion 21 is rotatably connected to one of the fence panels 10 at the upper left in FIG. 2. Specifically, a side plate portion 23 attached to the side end portion of one of the fence panels 10 and a side end portion of the front plate portion 21 are rotatably connected by a hinge portion 24 with an axis in the vertical direction. The rear plate portion 22 is connected to the other fence panel 10 at the lower right in FIG. 2. Specifically, a side plate portion 25 attached to the side end portion of the other fence panel 10 and a side end portion of the rear plate portion 22 are rotatably connected by a hinge portion 26 with an axis in the vertical direction.

As a result, the position of the front plate portion 21 can be changed in the R1 direction, and the position of the rear plate portion 22 can be changed in the R2 direction, so that the positions of the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 can be changed according to the angle between the width direction of one fence panel 10 and the width direction of the other fence panel 10, and the corner member 20 can provide a concealing function near the connection point between the fence panels 10. The front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 are fastened together at the overlapping point by a fastening device 40. The fastening device 40 includes a screw member 50, a spring member 60, and a nut member 70, and the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 are fastened together by the screw member 50, the spring member 60 attached thereto, and the nut member 70.

Next, the fastening structure between the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 will be described. Figure 3 is a view taken along the arrow A in Figure 1, showing an enlarged view of the fastening device 40 and its surroundings, Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the relationship between the corner member 20 and the fastening device 40 in Figure 3, and Figure 5 is an explanatory diagram of the screw member 50 of the fastening device 40, where (a) is a front view and (b) is a side view. As shown in Figure 3, the screw member 50 is inserted through the front hole portion 21a that penetrates the front and rear of the front plate portion 21 and the rear hole portion 22a that penetrates the front and rear of the rear plate portion 22.

As shown in FIG. 4, the front hole 21a is a vertically long hole, and the rear hole 22a is a horizontally long hole, so that if the front hole 21a and the rear hole 22a are positioned to overlap in the front-to-rear direction and if the screw member 50 can be inserted, the front plate 21 and the rear plate 22 can be fastened together by the fastening device 40. In other words, the positions of the front plate 21 and the rear plate 22 in the height direction and width direction can be adjusted within the range in which the screw member 50 can be inserted.

As shown in Figure 5, the screw member 50 has a head 51, a square root portion 52 with a rectangular cross section, and a threaded portion 53 with a male thread formed on the outer periphery, arranged in that order. In contrast, as shown in Figure 4, the front hole portion 21a has a wide portion 21b through which the head 51 of the screw member 50 can be inserted, and a narrow portion 21c through which the head 51 cannot pass but the threaded portion 53 can pass and which restricts rotation around the axis of the square root portion 52, with the wide portion 21b arranged at the top and the narrow portion 21c arranged at the bottom. In this embodiment, the rear hole portion 22a has a vertical dimension that is approximately the same as the vertical dimension of the front hole portion 21a.

This allows the worker to insert the screw member 50 from the head 51 side into the rear hole 22a and the front hole 21a from the rear side of the fence 100 on which the support 30 is erected. Then, by moving the root portion 52 downward along the narrow width portion 21c, the screw member 50 is prevented from rotating around its longitudinal axis, and the head portion 51 is engaged with the front hole 21a, temporarily fastening it to the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22.

Next, a method of fastening the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 will be described. FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram of the spring member 60 of the fastening device 40, where (a) is a front view, (b) is a side view, and (c) is an enlarged cross-sectional view of line B-B of (b). FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram showing the relationship between the screw member 50 and the spring member 60, and FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram showing the relationship between the screw member 50, the spring member 60, and the nut member 70. As shown in FIG. 7(a), the spring member 60 is attached after the screw member 50 is inserted into the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22. As shown in FIG. 6, the spring member 60 has a vertical plate-shaped base plate portion 61 made of metal, a folded portion 62 formed by folding back the upper end portion of the base plate portion 61, and a folded portion 63 formed by folding back the lower end portion of the base plate portion 61 in the same direction as the folded back direction of the folded portion 62. The base plate portion 61 has a hole portion 61a penetrating in the thickness direction. The folded portion 62 hangs down, and its lower end has a notch 62a cut upward, which can fit into the root portion 52.

As a result, as shown in FIG. 7(b), the threaded portion 53 of the screw member 50 can be passed through the hole 61a of the base portion 61, and the notch 62a of the folded portion 62 can be engaged with the square root portion 52. In other words, the folded portion 62 can be easily positioned on the upper side and the bent portion 63 on the lower side, so there is no need to correct misalignment or adjust the position of the spring member 60 during the fastening operation.

In this embodiment, the screw member 50 has a flange portion 54 that is larger than the root portion 52 on the threaded portion 53 side of the root portion 52.

As a result, as shown in FIG. 7(b), when the screw member 50 is temporarily fixed to the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22, the screw member 50 may tilt diagonally downward on the screw portion 53 side. However, even if the screw member 50 slides toward the screw portion 53 side after the cutout portion 62a is engaged with the square root portion 52, it will stop at the flange portion 54. Therefore, the spring member 60 will not come off the screw member 50 and can be temporarily fixed.

When the notch 62a is engaged with the root 52, the folded-back portion 62 and the bent portion 63 of the screw member 50 face the rear plate portion 22, and the vertical dimension from the folded-back portion 62 to the bent portion 63 is longer than the vertical dimension of the rear hole portion 22a.

This allows the folded-back portion 62 to face the rear plate portion 22 above the rear hole portion 22a, and the bent portion 63 to face the rear plate portion 22 below the rear hole portion 22a.

As shown in FIG. 8(a), when the nut member 70 is screwed into the threaded portion 53 of the screw member 50, the nut member 70 comes into contact with the base plate portion 61 of the spring member 60 as shown in FIG. 8(b). As the screwing operation continues, the spring member 60 moves toward the rear plate portion 22, so that the folded portion 62 comes into contact with the rear plate portion 22 above the rear hole portion 22a, and the bent portion 63 comes into contact with the rear plate portion 22 below the rear hole portion 22a. As the screwing operation continues, the folded portion 62 and the bent portion 63 press the rear plate portion 22 toward the front plate portion 21 as shown in FIG. 8(c). This allows the fastening device 40 to firmly fasten the rear plate portion 22 and the front plate portion 21 together.

The folded-back portion 62 and the bent portion 63 are formed flat at the points where they come into contact with the rear plate portion 22, so that the rear plate portion 22 can be securely pressed against the front plate portion 21 and firmly fastened.

The thickness dimension of the corner root portion 52, that is, the dimension from the head portion 51 to the flange portion 54, is approximately the same as the total thickness of the front plate portion 21, the rear plate portion 22, and the folded portion 62 of the spring member 60, so that the screw member 50 can be inserted through the rear hole portion 22a and the front hole portion 21a to easily achieve a temporary fastening state in which the notch portion 62a of the folded portion 62 is engaged with the corner root portion 52.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the fastening devices 40 are used at two different locations on the corner member 20 in the vertical direction, but the number of fastening devices 40 used can be set appropriately depending on the vertical length of the corner member 20.

The fence 100 according to the present invention is a fence 100 in which fence panels 10 are connected to each other via corner members 20. The corner members 20 have a front plate portion 21 and a rear plate portion 22 that overlap in the front-rear direction. The side end of the front plate portion 21 is rotatably connected to one fence panel 10, and the side end of the rear plate portion 22 is rotatably connected to the other fence panel 10. The front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 are fastened together by a fastening device 40. The fastening device 40 has a head portion 51, a root portion 52, and a screw portion 53. The device is characterized in that it comprises a screw member 50 inserted into a hole formed in the front and rear plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 that penetrates from front to rear, a spring member 60 inserted into the screw portion 53, and a nut member 70 screwed into the screw portion 53, and the spring member 60 has a folded portion 62 whose upper end is folded back so that it can be engaged with the square root portion 52, and a folded portion 63 whose lower end is folded in the same direction as the folded portion 62, and the folded portion 62 and the folded portion 63 are each capable of abutting against the rear plate portion 22.

This allows easy adjustment of the widthwise dimensions of the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 within the range in which the screw member 50 of the fastening device 40 can be inserted. In addition, since the spring member 60 has a folded portion 62 whose upper end is folded back and can be engaged with the corner root portion 52, there is no need to correct misalignment or adjust the position of the spring member 60 when operating the fastening device 40. Furthermore, since the folded portion 62 and the folded portion 63 of the spring member 60 can abut against the rear plate portion 22, the rear plate portion 22 can be pressed against the front plate portion 21 to firmly fasten the front plate portion 21 and the rear plate portion 22 together.

In the fence 100 according to the present invention, the square root portion 52 of the screw member 50 may have a flange portion 54 on the screw portion 53 side that is larger than the square root portion 52.

As a result, even if the spring member 60 slides toward the screw portion 53 after being engaged with the square root portion 52, it will stop at the flange portion 54, so the spring member 60 will not come off the screw member 50 and can be temporarily fixed.
