機体左右一側に収穫部(C)を設け、機体左右他側に収容部(E)を設け、収穫部(C)から収容部(E)に向けて左右方向に選別搬送部(D)の選別搬送装置(21)を設け、該選別搬送装置(21)の機体後方に選別搬送装置(21)で搬送される根菜類から不要な根菜類を補助作業者が着座して選別作業を行う補助作業座席を備える補助作業部を設け、収容部(E)の載置台(25)を機体左右側端部に設け、補助作業部の近傍であって、且つ、載置台(25)より後側の位置にクレーン支持フレーム(27)と、クレーン支持フレーム(27)の上面に基部を固定すると共に上方に向けて立設するクレーン(26)の縦フレーム(28)を設け、縦フレーム(28)の外周にガード体(33)を設け、ガード体(33)に近傍にクレーン(26)を操作する操作パネル(34)を設けたことを特徴とする根菜収穫機。
