まず平坦シート状の銅箔1を用意する。薄いときは裏面
に剥離可能な保護シートを有するものでもよい。この銅
箔1の表面に硫化、酸化等の化学的処理を施して第1図
のように銅箔1の表面自体を黒色又は緑色に着色する。
次いで乾燥後、その着色面3が外面に露出するようにし
てこの銅箔1を第2図のように例えば硬質塩化ビニルや
その他のプラスチックパイプ2の外周に貼付ける。この
貼付けは銅箔1の裏面に例えばエポキシ樹脂等の適宜の
接着剤を塗布しておき、これをプラスチックパイプ2の
外周に巻付けるようにすればよく、銅箔1の接合部は丁
度金属竪樋のはぜ加工面と同様な上下一直線状とし、施
工時にこの接合部が裏面に隠れるようにしておく。次い
で巻着された銅箔1の着色面3に必要に応じて防錆剤処
理を施した後、その外面に例えばウレタン樹脂、アクリ
ル樹脂等のクリアを塗装して第3図のように透明保護層
4を被覆するものてある。 本発明にあつては上述のよ
うにプラスチックパイプを主体とした銅化粧雨樋を製造
するに当り、予め銅箔に硫化、酸化等の化学的処理によ
り着色を施しておき、これをプラスチックパイプの外周
に貼着し、しかる後にその着色面に透明保護層を施して
いるから、従来最も煩雑な工程を要していたプラスチツ
クパイプヘのメッキが不要となり、銅箔の貼着だけでプ
ラスチックパイプ外周に銅面処理が施せる利点があり、
しかも銅面への着色も従来のような曲面処理ではなく、
平面処理として簡単に行なえるものであつて、工程全体
が簡略化されて豪華な銅調化粧が施された雨樋を安価な
