The present invention relates to a flute material. Generally, to make a flute, Ag−7.5w/
oCu and Ag-10w/oCu are used, and 18-karat gold and 14-karat gold are used for high-grade products. Flutes made of 18-karat gold or 14-karat gold are not only expensive, but also have the problem of being considerably heavier than Ag-7.5w/oCu or Ag-10w/oCu. By the way, the tone of a flute depends on the hardness of the material, and it is said that harder materials produce better tone. For this reason, materials for flutes are required to have particularly high hardness. However, materials with high hardness are not used because they lack workability. Therefore, the present inventor developed Ag-7.5w/oCu and Ag-
As a result of our intensive efforts to develop an age-hardening alloy material for flutes that is harder than 10w/oCu, we have found an alloy material for age-hardening flutes that is generally satisfactory. One of the age-hardening flute materials of the present invention is
It consists of Ru5~14w/o and the rest Pd. Another age-hardening flute material of the present invention is a pipe made of 5 to 14 w/o Ru and the rest Pd, with an Au layer provided on at least the outer surface. The reason why the component composition of the age-curable flute material of the present invention is limited as described above will be explained.
The binary alloy of Ru and Pd produces a good tone.
This is to allow age hardening to a hardness of Hv250 or higher and to suppress an increase in weight. If Ru is less than 5w/o, the hardness will decrease and the tone of the flute will not be good.
If the value exceeds Ru5, the workability will be extremely poor.
14w/o is suitable. Further, in the present invention, the reason why the Au layer is provided on at least the outer surface of the pipe is to improve corrosion resistance and give it a golden color. This Au layer may be either clad or plated, and may be applied before or after age hardening It may be provided at any time. Next, in order to clarify the effects of the age-hardening flute material according to the present invention, specific examples, comparative examples, and conventional examples thereof will be described. The hardness and specific gravity of the age-hardening flute materials of Example 1, Comparative Examples 1 and 2, and Conventional Examples 1, 2, 3, and 4 with the component compositions shown in the left column of the table below were measured, and furthermore, the material for flutes was actually When we observed the workability of the product, we obtained the results shown in the right column of the table below.

[Table] As is clear from the table above, the age-hardening flute material of Example 1 is different from Comparative Example 1 and Conventional Examples 1 and 2.
It has a hardness of Hv250 or higher, which is significantly higher than other flute materials, producing a good tone, and has a lower specific gravity than Conventional Examples 3 and 4. Furthermore, the workability is superior to Conventional Examples 3 and 4 and Comparative Example 2. As can be seen from the above explanation, the alloy material for flutes of the present invention has a high hardness of Hv250 or more that produces a good tone, has a relatively low specific gravity, and has excellent workability, so it is suitable for use with conventional flute materials. It can be said to be an epoch-making age-hardening material for flutes that can replace other materials.
