The present invention relates to a flute material. Generally, to make a flute, Ag−7.5w/
oCu and Ag-10w/oCu are used, and 18-karat gold and 14-karat gold are used for high-grade products. Flutes made of 18-karat gold or 14-karat gold are not only expensive, but also have the problem of being considerably heavier than Ag-7.5w/oCu or Ag-10w/oCu. By the way, the tone of a flute depends on the hardness of the material, and it is said that harder materials produce better tone. For this reason, materials for flutes are required to have particularly high hardness. However, materials with high hardness are not used because they lack workability. Therefore, the present inventor developed Ag-7.5w/oCu and Ag-7.5w/oCu.
As a result of our intensive efforts to develop an age-hardening alloy material for flutes that has a specific gravity roughly equivalent to 10w/oCu, excellent workability, and high hardness, we have found an alloy material for age-hardening flutes that is generally satisfactory. One of the age-hardening flute materials of the present invention is
Pd40~50w/o, Ag35~45w/o, Cu10~
It consists of 20w/o and Pt0.3~1w/o. Another age hardening flute material of the present invention is Pd40~50w/o, Ag35~45w/o, Cu10~
The pipe is made of 20w/o and Pt0.3 to 1w/o, and an Au layer is provided on at least the outer surface of the pipe. The reason why the component composition of the age-curable flute material of the present invention is limited as described above will be explained. The reason for using a quaternary alloy of Pd-Ag-Cu-Pt is that it can be age-hardened to a hardness of Hv250 or higher, which produces a good tone, and it also suppresses an increase in weight. If Pd is less than 40w/o, hardness of Hv250 or more cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 50w/o, hardness of Hv250 or more cannot be obtained and the specific gravity increases, so Pd40 to 50w/o is suitable.
If Ag is less than 35 w/o, the color of the outer surface of the flute will not be clear, and if it exceeds 45 w/o, corrosion resistance will deteriorate, so Ag 35 to 45 w/o is preferred. Cu less than 10w/o does not contribute to age hardening,
If it exceeds 20w/o, the color of the outer surface of the flute will not be clear and the corrosion resistance will deteriorate.
20w/o is suitable. If Pt is less than 0.3 w/o, it does not contribute to age hardening, and if it exceeds 1 w/o, workability deteriorates and the specific gravity increases, so Pt of 0.3 to 1 w/o is suitable. Further, in the present invention, the reason why the Au layer is provided on at least the outer surface of the pipe is to improve corrosion resistance and give it a golden color. This Au layer may be either clad or plated, and may be applied before or after age hardening It may be provided at any time. Next, in order to clarify the effects of the age-hardening flute material according to the present invention, specific examples and conventional examples thereof will be described. The hardness and specific gravity of the age-hardening flute materials of Example 1, Conventional Examples 1, 2, 3, and 4 with the component compositions shown in the left column of the table below were measured, and the flutes were actually manufactured and processed. When the properties were observed, the results shown in the right column of the table below were obtained.

える。[Table] As is clear from the table above, the age-hardening flute material of Example 1 has significantly higher hardness than the flute materials of Conventional Examples 1 and 2, and produces a good tone.
It has a hardness of Hv250 or more, and a specific gravity of conventional example 3,
4, and is approximately as low as the Ag-Cu alloys of Conventional Examples 1 and 2. Furthermore, regarding processability
It is as good as Ag-Cu alloy. As can be seen from the above explanation, the alloy material for flutes of the present invention has a low specific gravity, a high hardness of Hv250 or more that produces a good tone, and has excellent workability, so it is suitable for conventional flute materials. It can be said to be a revolutionary age-hardening material for flutes that can be replaced.
