Conventionally, the method for manufacturing illustrated records is to place stampers inside the upper and lower molds of a record press mold, and to attach a surface material made of a transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin sheet to the center axis of each mold. Insert printed paper with calligraphy, drawings, photographs, etc. printed on it in this order, and then insert a core material made of thermoplastic resin that has been thermogelatinized in advance between the printed paper and the printed paper inserted into the upper and lower molds. However, there is a manufacturing method in which a mold is heated, closed, and further heated and cooled. However, according to this method, sound grooves are formed in the surface material made of a thermoplastic resin sheet, but the surface material hardly flows during molding, and the core material is made by heating and gelling the thermoplastic resin in advance. Since the sound flows radially, the shape of the sound groove becomes incomplete, and as a result, illustrated records with inferior sound quality are manufactured.

The present invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and the lower mold central axis of a press mold is provided with a heat-gelled surface material made of a transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin, a printing paper, a reinforcing material, and a transparent or semitransparent thermoplastic resin. The mold is heated with heat-gelled surface materials made of translucent thermoplastic resin inserted one after another, closed, and then heated and compressed and cooled.

Figures 1 and 2 show the record press machine and its manufacturing process. In Figure 1, 1 is an upper mold, and 2 is a lower mold, which are pivotally connected to each other, and inside them are stampers 3 and 3, respectively. 4 is placed, and the lower mold 2
is provided with a central axis 5. Actually, there are passages through which water vapor and cooling water pass inside the upper mold 1 and the lower mold 2, and both molds are configured to be heated and cooled. Here, a first surface material 6 made of transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin, which has been heated and gelled in advance, as shown in FIG.
, then a printing paper 8 on which calligraphy, drawings, photographs, etc. have been printed, and then a second surface material 9 made of transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin that has been heated and gelled in advance are sequentially inserted.

Here, the above-mentioned reinforcing material is made of cardboard or the like having sufficient strength to withstand the large tensile force described later, and is made in a size that does not interfere with printed calligraphy or drawings.

Here, as a reinforcing material, Kent paper or bodywork paper with a thickness of about 0.3 to 0.4 mm and a diameter of about 20 to 30 mm was used. Alternatively, a diameter of about 290 mm and a printed figure may be used. In this state, upper and lower molds 1 and 2
When the mold is heated, the mold is closed, and further heated and compressed, the surface materials 6 and 9 flow radially around the central axis 5 of the lower mold, thereby forming a good sound groove.

Here, when the surface material flows due to the above-mentioned squeezing, a large tension is generated in the printing paper, and the printing paper may be pulled away, but as mentioned above, the center part is reinforced with a reinforcing material made of cardboard etc. The printing paper 8 cannot be torn. Thereafter, the mold is cooled in a closed state to integrate the surface material, reinforcing material, and printing paper to produce an illustrated record.

As described above, according to the present invention, one side has a reinforcing material and the other side has no reinforcing material, making it possible to create a pictorial record that is easy to see on the printed surface, and the surface material where the sound grooves are formed does not have the conventional structure. Instead of using a thermoplastic resin sheet, we use a transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin that has been heated and gelled in advance, so the surface material flows around the center axis of the lower mold, forming a sound groove, making it similar to conventional pictorial records. It has the feature that it is possible to manufacture high-quality pictorial records with better sound quality and better S/N ratio than vinyl records.
