Conventionally, to connect single-core OF cables, a hollow conductor is opened, the hollow conductor is compressed and connected by a single conductor connecting sleeve, and then between the conductor connecting sleeve and the cable insulation layer at each cable end,
The valleys were filled by wrapping a thin strip of oil-impregnated paper, and furthermore, an insulation reinforcement layer was formed, and the outer sheath connection pipe was installed with lead.

However, when connecting single-core OF cables extended on a slope with a large difference in height at their low-lying ends, it is necessary to connect the hollow conductors together using a single conductor connection sleeve based on the conventional method described above. In this case, leakage of a large amount of cable insulation oil cannot be avoided due to the high oil pressure due to the difference in height of the slope. Such insulating oil leakage is particularly significant when attempting to connect a compression sleeve connected to one hollow conductor to another hollow conductor.

In addition, in order to eliminate the above-mentioned large leakage of insulating oil, if the oil passage of the conductor connection sleeve is temporarily blocked, the high oil pressure due to the height difference of the slope will continue to act on the hollow conductor end at the low place. , as a result of violent squirting of insulating oil from the gaps between the strands of the conductor between the conductor connection sleeve and the end of the cable insulation layer,
Valley filling work becomes extremely difficult.

The method for connecting single-core OF cables laid on slopes according to the present invention is a method that can avoid the above-mentioned large amount of insulating oil leakage, and can also easily perform valley-filling treatment, so that single-core OF cables laid on slopes can be connected to each other. To connect the low end of each cable, the low end of each cable to be connected is first exposed to expose the hollow conductor, and after inserting a reinforcing steel pipe into the exposed hollow conductor, the exposed hollow of one cable is connected. The conductor is provided with an oil passage and a socket for opening and closing the oil passage, and one end of the female conductor connecting sleeve piece is compressed, and the female conductor connecting sleeve piece is provided with a hollow conductor insertion hole at one end and a female engagement part at the other end. At the same time, the exposed hollow conductor of the other cable has an oil passage and a socket for opening and closing the oil passage, and has a hollow conductor insertion hole at one end and a male engagement part at the other end. Attach one end of the male conductor connecting sleeve piece by compressing it. Then, while adjusting the above-mentioned tips to allow an appropriate amount of cable insulating oil to flow out from each sleeve piece, insert a piece of insulating paper between each sleeve piece and each cable insulation layer. This method is characterized by filling in the valleys by winding, and then compressing the male and female mating parts of both sleeve pieces by engaging them to connect the hollow conductors of both cables.

In FIG. 1, A and A' are inclined conduits or tunnels, and single-core OF cables B and B' are extended therein, respectively. FIG. 2 shows a conductor connection sleeve used in the connection method of the present invention, and this conductor connection sleeve S is composed of two sleeve pieces, ie, a female type conductor connection sleeve piece and a male type conductor connection sleeve piece 1, 2. The sleeve pieces 1 and 2 each have an oil passage 1.
1 and 21, and holes 12 and 22 for opening and closing the oil passages 11 and 21, and hollow conductor insertion holes 13 and 23 are formed at one end thereof. In addition, a female engagement part 14 is provided at the other end of the sleeve piece 1.
On the other hand, a male engaging portion 24 is provided at the other end of the sleeve piece 2, and these male and female engaging portions 14, 24 are configured to engage with each other. In FIG. 2, reference numerals 12a and 22a designate through holes formed in the sockets 12 and 22, and reference numerals 15 and 25 designate presser fittings for rotatably setting the sockets 12 and 22. Reference numeral 24a is a concave-convex tooth carved on the outer circumferential surface of the male-type engaging part 24, and is intended to improve the pulling force when joining both sleeve pieces, which will be described later. Note that it is desirable that the uneven teeth 24a be spiral uneven teeth.

According to the present invention, in order to connect the low end terminals E and E' of the single-core OF cables B and B', the terminals are first exposed to expose the hollow conductors 3 and 3' (in this case, It goes without saying that the lead-out treatment is performed after cutting the terminal and fitting a stopper into the oil passage of the hollow conductor to prevent cable insulating oil from flowing out.) As shown in Figures 3 and 4, these exposed hollow After removing the plugs, reinforcing steel pipes 4 and 4' are inserted into the conductors 3 and 3', respectively, and a female conductor connecting sleeve piece 1 is inserted into the exposed hollow conductor 3 of one cable B.

In the above, high oil pressure acts inside the exposed hollow conductors 3 and 3' due to the difference in height of the cable, but due to the leakage of an appropriate amount of cable insulating oil from the conductor connection sleeve pieces 1 and 2, the high oil pressure The leakage of the insulating oil from the exposed hollow conductor portions 31, 31' through the gap between the conductor wires at the location where the valley filling process is to be performed can be suppressed to a small extent. Therefore, the valley filling work can be easily performed.

After performing the valley-filling process on each cable terminal as described above, the cable sheaths 7, 7' are stripped off by a predetermined length from each cable terminal, and both cable ends are returned to the horizontal position, as shown in Fig. 6. Then, the female conductor connecting sleeve piece 1 and the male conductor connecting sleeve piece 2 are compressed and connected by engaging the female and male engaging portions 14 and 24 of each other. In this case, at the time of occlusion just before compression, both the sockets 12 and 22 are opened in a half-open state, and an appropriate amount of cable insulating oil is allowed to flow out from the occlusal interface (part Q shown in Figure 2), and the oil existing between the sockets 12 and 22 is Remove air from the aisle. In FIG. 6, 8 is a reinforcing steel pipe, and it goes without saying that it is fitted into the oil passage 21 of the sleeve piece 2 before the two sleeve pieces 1 and 2 are engaged.

The method for connecting single-core OF cables laid on slopes according to the present invention is as described above. attaching a female conductor connecting sleeve piece with a tab to the exposed conductor of the side terminal, and attaching a male conductor connecting sleeve piece with a tab that engages with the female conductor connecting sleeve piece to the exposed conductor of the other lower side terminal;
After that, both conductor connection sleeve pieces are engaged and compressed to connect the hollow conductors of both cables, so the valley filling process at each low end is performed independently of each other, that is, before the hollow conductors are connected. It is possible to construct the cable, and since the leakage of the insulating oil can be suppressed by the cover, the amount of insulating oil flowing out during cable connection can be greatly reduced, and the loss of the insulating oil can be sufficiently reduced.

In addition, in the connection method of the present invention, since the valley filling process is performed while draining the cable insulating oil in an appropriate amount by operating a kettle, even if the cable height difference is large, the cable insulation from the conductor location where the valley filling process should be performed is removed. Oil gushing can be sufficiently suppressed and valley filling can be easily performed.
