A house is composed of: 6 indicates the outdoor ground, and 7 indicates the space under the floor of a house. Inside the room, an indoor unit 8 having a well-known structure is installed on the wall, and a compressor 9 is installed in the underfloor space 7. Outdoor heat exchanger 1 for radiating heat outdoors
0 is attached to the outer wall 3 by appropriate means such as metal fittings. Reference numeral 11 denotes a cover that covers the outdoor heat exchanger 10, the upper end of which is open toward the top, and the opening 14 of which extends close to the eaves 15. Further, inside the cover 11, an auxiliary fan 12 having outer airfoil-shaped blades and a motor 13 for driving the fan are installed, and furthermore, the cover 11
The lower part thereof has an opening 17 that communicates with an opening 16 formed in the cloth foundation 1, and an opening 18 that opens toward the outside. The shielding plate 19 provided at the lower part of the cover 11 performs a fan-shaped movement about the shaft 20 to close either the opening 17 or 18 mentioned above. That is, when the shielding plate 19 is tilted toward the opening 17 as shown by the solid line in FIG.
is opened, and when it is tilted toward the opening 18 as shown by the broken line, the opening 17 is opened.

8 is closed and an opening 17 is opened on the side that communicates with the underfloor. Further, the refrigerant that has absorbed heat in the indoor unit 8 is compressed by the compressor 9, and reaches the outdoor heat exchanger 10, where the heat is radiated. As mentioned above, the outdoor heat exchanger 10 is provided in the space between the outer wall 3 and the cover 11, and as the temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger 10 increases, the air in that space is heated and becomes an upward airflow, causing convection. This action cools the outdoor heat exchanger 10. Since the lower part of this cover 11 is connected to the opening 16 of the cloth foundation 1, cooling air is introduced from under the floor. Further, if the opening area of the opening 16 is insufficient, the auxiliary fan 12 is used to make up for the insufficiency in order to assist upward flow due to convection.

is covered with a soundproofing material 21 to prevent noise, and the whole is surrounded by a box 22, so the soundproofing effect is also great. Furthermore, since the tip of the cover 11 is open near the eaves 15, rainwater does not enter.

Therefore, the refrigerant condensed in the indoor unit 8 evaporates in the outdoor heat exchanger 10 and absorbs the heat of the outside air entering through the opening 18. The air is then compressed by the compressor 9, and the heat is radiated by the indoor unit 8 to provide a heating effect. The auxiliary fan 12 during heating operation is operated continuously.

The outdoor heat exchanger can be cooled using the air under the floor, which has a lower temperature than the outside air, by using the rising airflow of warm air generated by the heat generated. Since it uses convection, the blower only needs to be operated as an auxiliary device, and it is small and consumes little power, making it highly effective in saving energy. Also, during heating operation, heat is absorbed from outside air directly through the outdoor heat exchanger, improving heat exchange efficiency. Furthermore, since the compressor is installed under the floor and the outdoor heat exchanger is attached to the outside wall of the house, wasted space is effectively used, the installation footprint is extremely small, and the vibration and noise of the compressor are soundproofed. It has various advantages, such as less air being transmitted to the outside due to the box body equipped with the material, and quiet air conditioning.
