However, if sandy parts of the field remain in some areas, such as near each base in a baseball field, the ball bounces irregularly at the boundary between the artificial turf and the sandy part, which can interfere with play. It was hoped that this could be improved, but no good solution could be found.

を、その目的とするものである。 The present invention was developed in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and by providing a transition section at the boundary between the artificial turf and the sandy soil area, the present invention prevents the ball from changing suddenly and bouncing, thereby improving play. The objective is to provide a surface structure for stadiums using artificial turf that ensures safety.

This structure forms a transition section having a slope of .

To explain this artificial turf installation structure along with its construction method, the ground ground 6
A crushed stone layer 4 is placed on top to improve water drainage, then an asphalt concrete layer 3 made of a mixture of asphalt and concrete is hardened for the area A where the artificial turf 1 is to be laid, and then a cushion material 2 is laid down. Artificial grass 1 is stretched over it. On the other hand, in the sandy soil area B where no artificial turf is to be stretched, sandy soil is deposited on the crushed stone layer 4 until it reaches the same level as the artificial turf 1 (FIG. 5, part 5). Therefore, the structure of the artificial turf area A and the sandy soil area B changes rapidly at the boundary between the two, causing the ball to bounce irregularly.

It is installed at a slope so that it gradually penetrates into the sandy soil. In order to give the above-mentioned slope to the artificial turf 1', the asphalt concrete layer 3' is hardened so that its upper surface is inclined, and a cushion material 2' is stretched on the upper surface to form the foundation for the artificial turf 1'. It is part S. As can be seen in detail in FIG. 3, in the transition area C, sand 5' is inserted between each grass piece 11' of the artificial turf 1', and the amount of sand is:
It gradually increases from the side closer to the area A of the artificial turf described above, and on the side closer to the sandy soil area B, the tips of the grass pieces 11' are hidden in the sandy soil.

When hosting other types of competitions, the entire stadium is often used as artificial turf by replacing the sandy soil area with artificial turf with a foundation that has the same structure as the surrounding artificial turf area. In such a case, in the present invention, as shown in FIG.
By making it possible to take out the artificial turf 1' stretched on the foundation part S consisting of asphalt concrete 3' and cushion 2' in the transition part C as one block, the entire surface can be covered as in the case of conventional stadiums. It will be possible to convert it to an artificial turf stadium.
