定し、かかる状態で機関に装置した後、前記固定
部材の中央部を除去して燃料噴射ポンプ本体とカ
ム軸と一体に回転する部材との固定状態を解除す
るようにしたことを特徴とする内燃機関の燃料噴
射時期設定方法である。

て、カム軸3のカム3aによつて上下動されるプ
ランジヤを上昇させて、第1気筒に燃料を噴射す
るプランジヤ4を噴射(圧縮)開始位置にもつて
くる。即ち、第4図示のように、プランジヤ4の
頂部4aがスピルポート5を閉じ終つた直後の位
置にもつてくる。この位置はプランジヤ4がスピ
ルポート5を閉じない状態では第3図に矢示する
ように燃料が燃料ギヤラリ(図示しない)からス
ピルポート5を通り圧力室6からデリバリバルブ
(図示しない)を押上げて流出しており、プラン
ジヤ4の頂部4aがスピールポート5を閉じると
前記燃料の流出が止まるので確認できる。
