In the above-mentioned type of plate-making printing apparatus, plate-making is performed by sandwiching a polymer of a printing original plate having a heat-sensitive stencil paper and a manuscript sheet between the cushion plate and the light-transmitting plate, and pressing the press plate. Printing is carried out thermally by irradiating the polymer with a light beam that has passed through the light transmitting plate while pressing the two together by rotating the base, and printing is performed by pressing the pressing plate against the base. Pressing is performed by pressing the printing original plate attached to the surface against the printing paper placed on the pressure-receiving surface of the base by rotating the press plate with respect to the base.

Generally, thermal platemaking requires a relatively large pressing force several times that of stencil printing, and for this reason, in the above-mentioned rotary pressing type platemaking and printing apparatus,
In order to obtain a large pressing force during plate-making, the plate-making printing position is preferably set as close as possible to the axis of rotation of the press plate relative to the base. However, if the stencil printing position is determined as described above, stencil printing may be performed with an excessive pressing force during stencil printing, and a good quality stencil printed matter may not be obtained. Furthermore, when the plate-making printing position is determined as described above, since the plate-making printing position is located near the connecting portion between the base and the pressing plate, it is difficult to set the printing paper for the plate-making printing position. Become.

The plate-making surface portion may be set closer to the rotation axis of the press plate relative to the base than the printing surface portion. As a result, thermal plate making is performed at a position close to the axis of rotation of the press plate with respect to the base, and during plate making, a large pressing force can be obtained relatively easily by rotating the press plate; The stencil printing is performed at a position far from the axis of rotation of the pressing plate with respect to the base, and the rotation of the pressing plate produces a good stencil printing with an appropriate pressing force without becoming excessive. Printing will begin. In addition, since stencil printing is performed at a so-called front position, which is far away from the connecting portion between the pressure plate and the base, printing paper can be easily and quickly set at the stencil printing position. .

When performing plate-making, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the pad plate 10 is positioned at the plate-making rotating position so that the plate-making cushion plate 12 is exposed to the outside, and the pad plate 10 is placed on the light transmitting plate 3. Place the original printing plate on the plate, place the original sheet on top of it with the print image side facing downward, and then hold the press plate 8 by the handle 8a of the press plate 8 as shown in FIG. The plate-making cushion plate 12 is rotated from the open position shown in FIG. 2 to the pressed position shown in FIG. When this pressing force reaches a predetermined value and this is detected by a pressing force detection device (not shown) provided in the base 1,
The light source device emits light and the printing original plate is irradiated with light, thereby performing thermal perforation plate making.
Incidentally, this pressing force detecting device may be a pressing force detecting device having a structure as proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. 1983 filed by the same applicant as the present applicant.

The above-mentioned plate making is performed at a position close to the axis of rotation of the press plate 8 with respect to the base 1, that is, at a position close to the fulcrum of the press plate 8, so that a large pressing force can be obtained relatively easily. Excellent pressure-type thermal platemaking is performed under the . During plate making, the original plate supporting element 14 is hidden between the pad plate 10 and the pressing plate 8, and the pressing for plate making is performed by the cushion plate 12, which is not provided with obstacles such as the original plate supporting element 14. This pressure is applied to the original support element 1.
4. It is performed well without being hindered by obstacles such as No. 4. Further, since the plate-making cushion member 12 is made of a relatively hard elastic material, thermal plate making which requires a larger pressing force than during printing, particularly thermal plate making having a solid image area, can be performed satisfactorily.

When printing, as shown in FIG. 3, the pad plate 10 is rotated substantially 180° around the support shaft 11 from the platemaking rotation position so that the printing cushion plate 13 is exposed to the outside. The printing original is rotated, that is, the front and back are reversed, and positioned at the printing rotation position, and the printing original is inserted into the groove of the original support element 14 to attach the printing original to the pad plate 10. Place the printing paper on top, then grasp the handle 8a of the press plate 8 and rotate the press plate 8 from the open position to the press position to place the printing cushion plate 13 together with the original printing plate on the printing paper. Stand 4
Press it towards. As a result, press-type stencil printing is performed.

This stencil printing is performed at a position far away from the axis of rotation of the pressing plate 8 relative to the base 1, that is, near the point of force of the pressing plate 8, so that an excessive pressing force is not generated and an appropriate pressing Good stencil printing is performed with pressure. Since stencil printing is performed on the printing paper mounting table 4, which is separate from the installation position of the light transmitting plate 3, the possibility that the light transmitting plate 3 will be soiled by printing ink during the printing process is significantly reduced. Light transmitting plate 3
Contamination by printing ink is avoided. Further, in this case, since stencil printing is performed using the printing cushion plate 13, the stencil cushion plate 12 is not stained by printing ink either.

Since the printing cushion plate 13 is made of a relatively soft elastic material, stencil printing is performed without requiring a very large pressing force, and the printing ink loaded on the stencil printing original plate is difficult to spread. As a result, the printing ink can be used effectively for stencil printing, and a large number of sheets can be printed with one filling of printing ink.
In addition, in the case of multicolor printing, printing inks of different colors are less likely to mix with each other in the original printing plate.
