Conventional cushion materials with appropriate rigidity include, for example, hard synthetic resin foam plates, spring structures in which many coil springs are installed vertically and horizontally, or Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 152573/1983, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-1982.
As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 36954, etc., there is a method in which countless crimped staples are formed by performing needle processing as necessary, and the joining points of each staple are bonded with an adhesive and held. However, although such conventional products have rigidity, they do not have air permeability, which is an important element, and are complicated to manufacture due to their configuration, and furthermore, they are not satisfactory in terms of rigidity. The point was hot. The present invention provides a cushion material for a pinerest that has a unique structure and has sufficient rigidity while also satisfying air permeability, which is another important element for a pinerest.

(Means for Solving the Problem) The cushion material described in item 1 is a flat plate-shaped member formed by needle-processing an accumulation of countless crimped staples in the thickness direction. A unit member is constructed by cutting into a cutting width, and a large number of unit members are connected with the cutting width of the unit member in the thickness direction, and these are integrated by gluing or welding.

Material: polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene fiber, or composite fibers thereof Fineness: 30 to 1000 (denier) Length: 20 to 200 (mm) The plate member 4 is formed by piercing and needle processing. Before needling, countless crimped staples, which existed simply at random as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 2b, in the portion where the staple passes through and its vicinity, the proportion of staples oriented in the thickness direction increases. As a result, the flat plate member 4 has different cushioning properties in the needling direction and in a direction perpendicular to the needling direction, that is, as shown in FIG. It is large in the direction perpendicular to .

The unit member 5 is constructed by cutting the flat member 4 constructed as described above into a desired cutting width l, and a large number of unit members 5 are connected with the cutting width l of the unit member 5 in the thickness direction. Then, these are glued or welded to integrate. What is shown in FIG. 4 is the cushion material 7 constructed in this manner. The feature of this cushion material 7 is that the cutting width l of the flat member 4 is set in the thickness direction of the cushion material, that is, in FIG. 3, the direction perpendicular to the needling direction is Since it is configured in the thickness direction of
Sufficient rigidity can be obtained. At the same time, since the cushion material 7 is made of a flat plate member 4 formed by needling,
Even if the direction perpendicular to the needling direction is the thickness direction of the cushion material, the breathability is good.

FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of the cushion material 7,
This is an example in which the cushion material 7 is laminated or covered with a flexible material 6 as required. This allows the degree of flexibility of the cushion material to be adjusted as required. The flexible material 6 may be any conventionally used material such as a slightly thick sheet member.

It goes without saying that the cushion material 7 of the present invention may be used alone as a stuffing material to form a mattress, or may be used in combination with other cushion materials to form a mattress.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention has a flat member formed by needling an accumulation of countless crimp staples, with the direction perpendicular to the needling direction being in the thickness direction of the cushion material. Therefore, it has the excellent characteristics of being able to sufficiently satisfy the need for appropriate rigidity to prevent the body from sinking unnaturally, and also providing good breathability.
