A false-twisted two-layer structure strong twist yarn in which a sheath yarn is formed by alternately forming a single-wound portion and a triple-wound portion with respect to a core yarn is known (Japanese Patent Publication No. Sho 50- 35147 publication). However, this material is not suitable for plain woven and knitted fabrics because the triple wound portion has a design effect. Of course, in order to eliminate only the above design effect, the sheath yarn may be wound around the core yarn with respect to the sheath yarn in a single winding. The attached structure was loose and the exposed core yarn was conspicuous.

In the process of manufacturing a false-twisted two-layer structure (strong twist) yarn in which single-winding and triple-winding are alternately known, the single-winding is achieved by devising the usage and winding state of the yarn. It was clarified that the core yarn was not exposed substantially by itself and thus a material having a desired refreshing feeling was obtained.

And is supplied from the supply roller 5 to the false twist zone, and a false twist turning state is established between the supply roller 5 and the false twist tool 6. On the other hand, the sheath yarn 2 is taken out from the cheese 7 via the guide 4, and then wound around the core yarn 1 in the false twist rotation via the sheath yarn insertion guide 8. Next, the two yarns in the wound state are heat-fixed by the heater 9 and then untwisted by the false twisting tool 6,
The take-up roller 10 is wound around the bobbin 11. FIG. 3 is an enlarged view showing the state in which the sheath yarn 2 is wound around the core yarn during false twisting. As the sheath yarn, a polyester intermediate oriented yarn having a birefringence of 0.02 to 0.06 is preferably used. Then, the sheath yarn 2 is supplied under an overfeed of 45% to 150% with respect to the core yarn 1. The surface temperature of the heater 9 is preferably a high temperature as long as the sheath yarn 2 is not fused or a temperature at which some fusion occurs in the cross section as described above. For this purpose, depending on the birefringence of the sheath yarn, between 200 and 240 ° C (most suitable between 230 ° C and
240 ℃) and set appropriately according to the processing speed.

The wound and textured yarn as a whole has a core-sheath type structure. One of the features is that the difference in the leg length of the sheath yarn is as large as 45% to 150%. The longer the thread difference, the less the irritability of POY / FOY, and the more the refreshing feeling.

特徴である。In FIG. 1, the sheath yarn 2 is a core yarn 1 as shown.
There is no triple winding (spiral winding) as seen in Japanese Patent Publication No. 50-35147, for example, in a tightly wound state and with a single winding structure in which it is wound in an alternate twisted yarn shape. Moreover, regarding the winding state, the twist inversion period P (that is, the distance between adjacent inversion points) is 3 mm or less, preferably 0.
The feature is that the yarn is extremely short as 1 mm to 1 mm, and there is thickness unevenness in a minute portion, but the yarn as a whole has no thickness unevenness, that is, no design effect.

Therefore, the bundleability and handleability of the entire processed yarn are significantly improved.

From this point of view, the point of the manufacturing method depends on how to increase the winding density of the sheath yarn and to wind the sheath yarn in a single layer. In this regard, in the present invention, first, the above l (third
(Fig.) Is 3 mm or less and α is 45 ° or less, so that the winding start point of the core yarn with respect to the sheath yarn is always held at a fixed position. Then, in such a state, single winding can be performed in a high range where the overfeed amount of the sheath yarn with respect to the core yarn is as high as 45% to 150%. This wound state is subsequently heat-fixed by the heater 9, but at this time, the sheath yarn 2 is an intermediate oriented yarn that easily undergoes heat shrinkage, so the heater 9
It shrinks easily on the top and is heat set while forming a tightly wound state. When the heat-fixed winding structure is untwisted by the false twisting tool 6, an extremely short twisting (winding) reversal period P of 3 mm or less is obtained.

Despite being as high as 45% to 150%, the sheath yarn exhibits a series of tight windings. This sheath yarn has an intermediate oriented yarn with high heat shrinkage and low Young's modulus. It depends. In other words, the intermediate orientation yarn (sheath yarn) wound around the core yarn easily contracts on the false twist heater, resulting in an increase in the tightening force for the core yarn. And reverse twist. In this case, if the Young's modulus is low, it winds tightly. In the case of the entire two-layer structure yarn, there is no periodical change in twist density and no visual unevenness in thickness, so that the yarn as a whole is a material having no proportion (quality) and no feeling of coarseness.
