   • 1953, Guy Richard Bisby, An Introduction to the Taxonomy and Nomenclature of Fungi, page 105:

     On and after January 1, 1953, the distribution of an exsiccatum relative to any new taxon, accompanied by an original diagnosis, even if this is printed, does not constitute effective publication.
