Borrowed from Maltese karozzin, karrozzin, from Italian carrozza (“horse-drawn または railroad carriage”),^[1] from carro (“means of transport for carrying goods”) (from Latin carrus (“wagon; four-wheeled baggage cart”), ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *ḱers- (“to run”)), or from carruca (“(廃れた用法) carriage; coach”) (from Latin carrūca (“carriage; coach; chariot”)).
